- You can sign up with any username you want to have, but once you decide on your characters name, please change your display name. First and last names, please. Not all capitals! HORRIBLY annoying.
- You can have as many characters as you like, as long as you keep them all active! But the staffers all ask if you can keep your character genders/house in ratio, so we won't have to put a ban on a certain gender/house.
- For each new character, a new account. No more than one character per account. Keeps it clean and less confusing.
- You must fill out an application for your character and you must be accepted by an administrator before posting in-character; the lounge and C-Box are open to all accepted/unaccepted members.

- Outline the general personality of your character, including flaws and any quirks that make your character unique.
- If you submit a Mary Sue type persona you will not get accepted until you ensure that your character is not annoyingly perfect.
- As of right now ,
we do not accept canons from the books. [Only ones allowed are in the canon/character list] Originals only! No ifs, ands, or buts. Relatives down the family tree not from the books are fine upon approval only. We are pretty strict about these as well. Make sure to add to our family tree page! - On applying, please post your application within a week tops of registering.
- Please fill out the application carefully and do not change the code.
- We'd also like for people to use people as play bys, and not drawn characters. no anime allowed.
- Try to make one boy for every two girl characters you have or vice versa.
- You can have up to two teaching jobs(if you want more talk to me(Abagail and we'll see what happens) and two shops(again talk to me if you want more.)

- Please have a 100x100 avatar - the limit - and a signature of your choice, as long as it does not exceed a width of 500 pixels and 400 in height. If you have any larger than this, they will be removed for you, no warning.
- If you can't make graphics, we have a request board if someone around here would like to make one for you or you have use a graphic request site if desired.
ACTIVITY LEVELS

- We have random activity checks we require you to participate in. If your character(s) go inactive for over 60 days without notice, you will be unsorted and possibly deleted. Please stay active or post in the inactive board upon your departure. If you decided to return again as an active member, you are always welcome to create another account and go through the application process again if your character has been unsorted.
- We would like for people to at least log on daily to keep the site looking active - even if it's just to check your character pm's or post an absense.
- You don't have to post a roleplay post everyday if you're busy, But if you're in a thread, please try to stay active in it and keep up. At least 4 posts per week while in a thread.
ROLEPLAYING 101

- We are an intermediate to advanced role play site, so try to keep on par with the minimum. 150 words per post.
- When a thread is closed, please edit and put ((closed)) on the subject of the first post in order for the admins to know to move it to the pensive. Which is all done about once a month or so.
- Must be in Third person only. Makes it easier for everyone to read.
- God Modding is a huge problem on HP sites because no one wants to lose out when magic is involved. If your character is significantly younger than another and gets involved in a duel with them make sure to know that the end result will be a loss.
- Also, younger students are not able to produce as advanced of magic as their elders.
- Puppetry with permission is fine as long as it is stated at the bottom of the post that you were given permission with an out of character comment.
- In the initial post of your thread state the date and time that the thread will take place in at the top right corner. This makes it easier to follow plots and make continuation threads. (Optional)
- When you talk, please put it in quotations.
- If you have a comment that's not in character.. please use (())
- Italics are used for thoughts.
- You don't have to but if a lot of dialogue is happening, it is sometimes easier to write in their question/ speech into your post with your characters response all written out. If it's not a lot going on and not hard to follow then it's not really necessary.
- Any Classroom can be used to RP in, just be aware that the professor for the class or any other have all right to enter into your thread and catch you if you are up to no good.

- This is a harry potter roleplay, so magic is allowed, for obvious reasons. But please try to remember the hogwarts school rules if you are role playing a student. For example, curfew is 10. If you're caught after that, then a professor may just catch you.
- Also please note that only third years and onward are allowed to visit Hogsmeade, so no second years can be found here or a staffer will burst in and put them in detention.
- Should you break any of the rules listed in this thread, you will receive a series of warnings. If you should insist on breaking the rules after that then your account will be banned and deleted. Depending on the circumstances of your rule-breaking, the admins may decide to delete your account without warning.
- All members MUST be 13 years of age or older. Anyone younger than 13 will be deleted, as this is breaking Proboard's Terms of Service.
- All threads containing mature content need to be faded out in the thread. No adult material is *rolls eyes* allowed.
- *House Points will be used, Professors have the power to take away or give points...
Perfects, HOH, and Head boy/girl also do. When you do take or add points please post a new thread in the house points board to and follow the instructions on what to do, posted in that board.
