[Christian Hawk]

Christian had gone back to his room and changed his clothes. He hated running in his uniform. Dress pants and a button down accompanied with a tie wasn't ideal for any kind of physical activity. He decided to go with a simple pair of grey sweat pants and a black t shirt. He laced up his sneakers and decided to look around. He needed the wolfs bane tonight, definitely. There wasn't any question about that. He didn't need to be stuck outside with the sun setting with out any wolfs bane.

Christian made a promise to himself after his father died. He would never be as careless and stupid as he was ever again, and he would never endanger someone else's life again. Christian would probably kill himself if he ever hurt anyone ever again. He didn't even care that he would be kicked out of school. He mostly only cared about the well being of others. Christian felt himself wondering what if he had this mind set two years ago his father would still be alive.

Christian decided no more thought about his past right now. He would only wind up blurting out something he didn't want to and would feel like shit after ward. Making his way towards the court yard Christian stood waiting for Lace to come and meet him. He was really happy that he decided to hang out with. He felt an instant connection with Lace and was excited to get to know her more.

Christian felt nervous waiting for Lace to meet up with him. What if the more she got to know him she decided she didn't like him at all. He wouldn't feel good if that happened. Christian had decided that he did develop a small crush on Lace during their small study session and wanted to know more about her. He wondered if she could be the one person he would tell his secrets to.

Lace had spent a while, staring at her clothing options. She had enver actually cared.. ever before about what she wore. But now, she was going to be meeting Christian. And though she knew he was going to take off and she would probably be having a heart attack behind him, she was excited about the prospect of hanging out with him some more. She tossed on a pair of pants that she actually used when lounging around in the winter. Just some stretchy black pants that hugged her butt tightly. Then she grabbed her sleeping tank top, which was skin tight, and a deep green color.

She pulled her long dark hair up, and clipped it there so it wouldn't fall down as it had in the lab. If she was running or something, it was going to be bad if her hair kept falling into her face.

Heading out, she knew that people were looking at her like she was nuts. She was always very conservatively dressed, not to mention, never in any sort of work out clothes. But her sneakers kept her feet comfortable on the stone steps that she was practically running down to get to the courtyard on time.

Bursting out of the doors, her face flushed with a bit of exertion she searched and found him. A bright smile came to her face, and a light came to her eyes as she saw him. Walking over to him, her long pony tail bounced up and down slightly with each step. She was a slight girl, now that her clothes were showing off her form. But she had some beautiful curves that came with genes.

"Hey." she blushed softly as she stood beside him. "Ready? Is this cat and mouse, or just running together?" she asked him as they began to walk to the outter areas of campus

Christian watched as Lace walked towards him. It took some strength to not have his jaw drop as she walked over. He saw her full figure in this outfit. Her tight pants really had Christian eyeing her up and down. He wondered if she would notice this but Christian really couldn't help it. He semi did not car considering it would show his attraction to her.

Christian smile as she approached him. Slowly deciding Christian gave her a warm hug. "Hey there." he said smiling still. "So its up to you. I can totally chase you if you want." Christian winked at her wondering what they would actually do.

He wouldn't mind chasing her down and slowly pinning her to the floor. Christian stopped his thought right there. He was unsure where that was going but he knew sometimes he wasn't very gentlemanly but this was definitely the beast. "Whatever you want Lace. I can teach you how to run. We can jog. I can.." Watch your back side while you jog ahead of me. He kept this thought to himself. "Um...yea. Whatever you want.

Lace couldn't help but be elated by the hug. She hugged him back. Arms wrapping around his neck softly before she steps back to give him his room. He told her that it was completely up to her. She thought it might be fun to try to do a little cat and mouse chase and then they could really work on something more serious. But, Lace wanted to have some fun, and Christian seemed like the kind of guy for it.

"Awesome."

She looked out and around at the area they had. The woods were a ways off and they were off limits anyway. But she figured it would be fun to run around the lake shore, it wouldn't be too rocky either, which was probably good for her lack of running skills what so ever.

"Give me a head start. Catch me, annnnnd.. then you get one request!"

She knew that was stupid. Since, he was obviously going to catch her. But, she still thought it would be fun. And incentive. She eagerly started running, she didn't even try to pace herself. It wouldn't matter in the end. She could feel a smile on her face already though. She looked back over her shoulder at him and then refocused herself.

She beat it as hard as she could. Pony tail swaying, her body was not in shape she was already breathing heavily but she knew that she would catch her in moments. She was actually kind of excited about being caught. As he finally began to run, she found herself laughing and giggling as she fought with the terrain to keep a lead.

Christian wanted to catch Lace. He wasn't sure when he decided this, probably when she had said she wanted to play cat and mouse. Christian knew he just wanted to catch her, grab her, and honestly probably kiss her. But he would restrain himself.

"So you want me to chase you." He mumble watching her take off. Raising and eyebrow Christian was definitely intrigued. He would chase her, and nor hold back. Slowly he began to run getting faster, faster until he was at full speed. Christian chased her down getting into hunter mode. He had never ran with anyone before. He wasn't sure how he would react. But right now he was hunting her, gaining closer and closer until finally he was at her feet grabbing in front of him placing his hands around her waist.

"Got you." He said grabbing her. He was breathing heavy out of breath and he stared at her with hungry eyes. He wanted to ravage her right now. Or was that his bestial side? "I um.." He mumbled. All He felt like doing right now was kissing her and he wasn't sure he could stop himself.

Christian turned Lace around and stared into her eyes. He felt such a strong connection and ultimately could not stop himself. He cupped her face and leaned in slowly kissing her. He hoped she felt something with him and kissed him back. He wasn't sure why but he felt the need for her to accept him and for her to want him. Christian was attracted to her and wanted her to be attracted to him.

Lace ran.

With everything she had. Which was really sad because he was closing in on her at such a fast rate she knew that she had no chance. Not that she really thought that he did in the beginning. But it was even more obvious. Lace could only squeal as his hands closed around her waist pulling her to him and to a stop. She laughed.

Then she was spun around.

Her eyes were bright. Her cheeks were flushed with the exertion of running so much but she was happy and having fun. Doing something that she absolutely hated. Running. He spun her around, and she looked up into his eyes. There was something there. And she knew that it was reflected back at him in her own green eyes.

His hands cupped her face, and her eyes softened, her smile fell only because she was getting into the serious moment that had suddenly fallen upon them. He leaned in, and she met him half way. Hoping he was going to kiss her, and then.. his lips were there. Her hands lay softly against his chest while their lips met.

Her entire body erupted into tingles. Her lips totally quivered, and then it was over. She was left looking into his eyes. A warm smile totally took over her face and she almost tackled him in a hug. For the first time in forever, making her feel like a beautiful girl for the first time in forever.

"Wow." she whispered catching her breath more from the kiss than the running. She couldn't get the smile to fall off her face, it was just.. stuck there. "Umm, that was.. great." she blushed. Sliding her hand in his. "Do you want to .. to run more or umm.. take a walk?" she offered her brow raising with her question.

Christian never felt something like that before. He literally had felt like he needed to kiss her in that moment, there was no other option. He wasn't sure why that was but his body desperately craved it. When their lips met hers were so soft and moist he wished he could kiss them all day. Once seperated and he felt and accepted her hug the realization hit Christian. This is very very bad. Well the kiss was good very good in fact, but this whole situation was very bad.

Christian dug into his pocket for the vial of wolfs bane and quickly chugged some down. He wondered when the taste of this would stop getting to him. Sometimes it was just outright foul. Feeling Lace"s hand intertwine with his own and hearing her question Christian's eyebrow rose. Definitely no more running right now. Apparently he did crazy while his adrenaline was pumping. Christian spoke, "Let's walk a little. Is there anywhere you like to go outside?" He asked her.

Of all nights for me to decide to do this? He thought. He was unsure if the closer time itched to sunset the more wolf like he got. He felt as though he were already a different guy. Grabbing her up like that and not caring kissing her. Yes Christian did want to do that, but he was sure normally he wouldn't dare in fear of getting carried away.

That kiss had been a dream come true to someone like Lace. She only hoped that he didn't see it as a mistake. She actually enjoyed the cat and mouse game. It had been fun, and besides, it had earned her a kiss. One that her lips were still tingling from. Again, he was too stealthy for her to realize he was drinking potions. He didn't seem to mind her hand was in his, and told her they should go for a walk.

Lace smiled.

"Sure."

There were people staring, talking, whispering. Lace Hunnington with a guy. Especially, a guy that was not James. It wasn't, as though she had ever dated James, or that they had ever even been physical in any sort of way. But, a lot of people assumed it because they were such close friends. Just like Christian had thought it.

Lace's hair was caught on the breeze, her hair floating up around her. With it's length it was like dark black ribbons. Sometimes she would spell different colors into her hair as highlights. Just for something different. Lace had her own quirks. Deep in thought about the kiss her hand came up and played with the silver unicorn necklace that was around her neck always.

No one had ever given her anything that replaced it.

"That was a lot of fun though. I might be inspired to run if there is a someone .. I mean if there is someone like.. like you to catch me." she blushed deeply.

Maybe, .. maybe she was the girl. The one that he could eventually learn to trust. She remembered that he had mentioned he didn't trust women very well. She wondered why. But that was not a question for the first day that they met. That was a deeper conversation to have at another time when he was not so freaked out about just meeting her.

"So ummm... tell me about yourself.. um... besides the running, catching and the kissing thing.. I .. I like that quality." she blushed so hard when that came out without her meaning it to, her ears turned bright red. "Ummm.. like.. like I was born in London.. type thing."

Christian smiled, he did like Lace's quirky way of talking. It reminded him of his own shyness, especially around her. Christian steadily walked with her, his hand clasped around hers. He too enjoyed the chasing and kissing part. "Ah about me hmm?" He placed his free hand on his chin and thought. What were some things he could tell her?

"I was born in Australia." He said deciding that was a safe bit of information about him. "Makes the winter seasons here feel extremely brutal to me." He said smiling. Christian wondered if this was smart. Slowly delving into topics about him made Christian shift nervously. Sometimes he wanted to just randomly drop certain things in normal conversation. Hey, how are you? I am a werewolf. He often wondered if that's how he should do it when he admitted it to people.

Shaking those thoughts from his head Christian regained his cool. He slowly turned over and looked at her. "What about you?" He asked. Steering the conversation towards her some more. He hoped she wouldn't delve more asking him questions today. Maybe one day he would be ready to answer those questions but definitely not tonight, not when he just met someone.

That was all.

Lace's brow furrowed. Most people opening up pretty readily about themselves. But, she supposed he was right. About that whole, not trusting women thing. Because he certainly wasn't comfortable talking to her. She wanted a relationship with him, she had a huge crush on him. But, eventually, he was going to have to trust her if they were going to try to make anything work at all.

"Oh ummm.. I was born in London. But, my dad.. he umm.. moved us to Cornwall when I was a lot younger. We live there now. Next door to James' family. That's how we met, even before.. we came to Hogwarts."

She shrugged.

There was .. just not much to say about that. But her father was gone, and when she mentioned him her voice hitched a little bit. She still missed him. The vast wound he left behind in her heart when he left.. really hurt. Especially, when she thought of all the times they spent in the potions lab. Working, creating, speculating. Entire walls filled with writing of their ideas and things. They tried different ingrediants to see how they interacted with one another.

People said often, it was a blessing she hadn't been there when her dad's lab blew up. She supposed it was. But there were times, when things were rough at school, she wondered if it really was.

Deciding to change the subject..

"Do you uhh.. play any sports or anything? I know you like to run though.. already, but do you like.. play Quidditch?"

Christian noticed there was something about what she just said that must have upset her. Her voice cracked a little and there was a change in subject. A tactic Christian knew all too well. Sports? "Ah yes, I do enjoy a game of quidditch every now and then. I'm hoping to join the team." He said smiling. Christian sighed loudly and turned to her.

Christian stopped walking and took his hand back looking at Lace. "Listen I am not an open book and things like this.." He trailed off and pointed back and forth between them. "I don't have much experience talking with.."Trailing off he looked at Lace again. "you know...girls." Christian felt embarrassed. What guy didn't know how to speak with a girl? Pathetic.

"And I don't know when I'm going to be able to trust anyone fully. So it's not you okay?" He felt the need to make sure she knew that it was definitely not her. Lace seemed like an amazing girl and Christian was very attracted to her, but this was hard for him. Christian cracked her knuckles and rolled his head cracking his neck as well. His body was agitated and anticipating tonight's change. He felt his bones already aching and was sure the discomfort read on his face.

Looking up at the sky hoping the sun would stay up for awhile he sighed. Christian did not want to leave any time soon, especially if Lace thought he was some jerk.

"You should try out. I think you would like it. Just because you seem so.. physical."

She shrugged. And then he sighed. Dread took over her body, and her worst fears were realized when he took his hand back from hers. Her green eyes stared at her empty had for a moment before she crossed her arms fully over her chest hugging herself while he spoke. 'Listen'. Yeahhhh, she knew what was coming and tears were already stinging her eyes. Because, because this time she had thought it would be different. Maybe special.

Things like this... This meaning him and her, talking, being together.

Lace's eyes shifted to the ground. Better, so that he wouldn't see the tears burning in front of her vibrant greens. He told her that he wasn't sure when he would fully be able to trust someone. That it wasn't her.

Right. She'd heard that before. It's not you, it's me. Really.

She nodded.

"Getting rejected again, Hunnington?"

Lace's eyes shifted to the side, and she bit her lower lip to stop it from quivering. Meridith Langston. Evil Bitch of the Ravenclaws. She and her little posse cackled as they walked by and Lace let her gaze fall back to the ground and she shrugged. Unsure of what to say, or how she could say it without sounding like a complete and utter loser on the verge of tears considering she had just met this guy today.

But she was very attracted to him. She liked that he was shy like her.

"I.... " she started. Staring at her shoes. "I get it. Sorry. I thought.. well it doesn't quite.. quite matter what I thought.. um... sorry then.. about .. the .. umm.. " she just shrugged, and fought the urge to put her head in her hands and just cry.

"It.. it isn't like I've ever had like.. a boyfriend or.. whatever umm.. so.. so I don't really like.. know about this either but umm.. I get it. I can still like.. tutor you or whatever..." that was basically all she was good for anyway, she just loved being reminded of that.

He had invited her out here. Annnd, she thought that they would be able to have fun. But, it seemed he was having major second thoughts. not that she blamed him, there were far better girls in the school. Like Meridith who could have anyone at her beck and call it seemed.

"do you.. wanna keep walking? Or do you need to like.. get back?" she asked softly, barely above a whisper.

Christian feel like an even bigger ass than he already had. This wasn't coming out right. "Okay that isn't what I meant." He sighed. "I mean that I like you Lace, but I've just never really done this." He shrugged. Christian felt like he just couldn't get any words out at all. Everything he said was coming out wrong. He wasn't sure what he was going to do.

Scratching his head he eyed Lace. "I'm just horrible at speaking." he mumbled with a shrug. Christian, feeling unsure of what to even do grabbed Lace's hand into his own again.

"I like you." He said without pause. Christian kept eye contact hoping that she would believe him and not he was just being a typical guy trying to blow her off. He was literally just unsure of what to do. He enjoyed Lace's company and more than just a tutor buddy, but he hadn't had experience in this area. Maybe one day if he was able to open up to her she would understand the reason for him being like this.

He took her hand.

She looked up at him with her water logged eyes. She knew it probably wasn't really his fault anyway. But more, that it was her fault for misunderstanding. But then he admitted that he did like her. He had just never done this before. Causing her to blush softly and take a cautious step towards him.

"I.. I haven't either." she whispered. "I thought.. maybe.. we could .. like.. learn together? If you wanted. Take it slow? See.. see where it goes because.. I don't.. I don't really know how this is all supposed to go either."

She leaned up, standing on her tip toes and hugged him. Both arms wrapping around his neck. She was glad. Glad that it wasn't complete rejection. Just that, neither of them really knew what to do. And that was okay. She was totally cool with learning it all together. She just didn't want him to discount her all together when she felt like she truly had something she could give to him. Pulling back from the hug she took his hand and pulled on it softly so they could start walking again.

"Ummm... so .. what do you do to keep yourself busy here? Like a hobby or something? I mean... you have to do something besdies study after classes all the time." she smiled warmly at her companion for the night.

Christian welcomed her warm embrace willingly, taking her aroma in as her returned the hug. Her scent really did intoxicate Christian on a whole other level, he wasn't sure what it was but honestly he had never been so..so...what was it that he was feeling? There was definitely desire no doubt about that, but what was this feeling that was underlying? Christian felt...hungry. Lace's scent brought out a very bestial hunger in Christian and he wasn't sure how much longer he would be able to keep it away. Gazing up at the sky Christian knew there wasn't much time left. He would be able to make a quick dash when the time came to the dungeon, to his cage.

Christian let go of Lace, even though he so desperately did not want to. "My hobbies?" He asked his voice almost cracking. He had been so deep in thought he almost hadn't heard her question. "Oh well I enjoy long walks on the beach, poetry and midnight dinners." He smirked and gave Lace a wink. Truth be told Christian was unsure hat his hobbies actually entailed. He loved running, that was his only go to escape. then Christian thought.

"I enjoy eating rare steak." He said randomly. Was that a hobby? When you ate it as much as he did, probably. "As of right now I think my hobbies entail hanging out with an extremely beautiful girl and getting to know her better." He smiled. "What about you?" He asked focusing the conversation back on her, a tactic Lace may have started to notice.
