“Vincent, darling, Did you get the sheets?” called Alice from the Landry cupboard.
“Yes, laying them out now mother.” came his muffled reply, throwing the last of the sheets onto the spare bed.
“My dear, that’s not right. I’m glad I raised my daughters correctly.” she chided, coming into the room with a Slytherin smirk.
Vincent rolled his eyes, with his arms crossed over his chest in a defensive stance. Mother or not, Alice was still her former self sometimes, mainly the reason why Vincent had his mood swings every now and then. Loving the fact this was causing her son quite a deal of annoyance, Alice threw the sheets at him, which he caught quite easily, causing a small chuckle. So mother taught her son the basics about making a bed, that could be slept in and look pretty at the same time.
After his little lesson was complete, Alice kissed her son goodnight, and closed the door behind her, smiling a little before going back into the kitchen, to her awaiting husband, who had come beyond curious at their new guest. Vincent glanced out of the window, and watched his little sister with high amusement as she threw a mud pie at his older brother. The yells could be heard from a mile away, but Ruby didn’t care, she was on the ground laughing her head off.
The lovely thing about being the favourite son, Vincent got a bathroom next door to his room, instead of using the one on the otherside of the house. As of now, he could still hear the water running, ever so softly against the everyday sounds he had come to enjoy the last couple of hours. Vincent purist his lips slightly, wondering how on earth could he of all people manage to end up with a girlfriend who didn’t love him, one of the unfaithful guys girlfriend staying over at his house, and his heart torn beyond repair. Sometimes life was just a real bitch.
