Reading the descriptions on each board will help you find your way and to better understand where you are at. Within a board the board description is at the very bottom. Boards on the main page have mini pictures of where this location looks like. Most boards within have a larger picture at the top that illustrates where you are and what it looks like. Most of these same descriptions and pictures can be found here. This is a walk through page. Links will be provided along the way and a complete link list will be provided at the very end.
First Entrance into Hogwarts
First Entrance into Hogwarts
The road to Hogwarts is a rough mud track that leads through the Forbidden Forest in the mountains surrounding Hogwarts Castle. The track starts at Hogsmeade Station and ends at the Entrance Gates, where it becomes the entrance footpath. Somewhere along the road, there's a bifurcation leading to Hogsmeade Village. The path is used at the start and end of every school year by the Hogwarts carriages, and during the school year for trips to Hogsmeade.

The Main Entrance Gates to Hogwarts are located a short distance from Hogsmeade Station. The gates would be opened on the first day of term and carriages pulled by Thestrals would take students up to the castle. The Entrance Gates are made of magnificiant wrought iron and are flanked by two columns topped with statues of winged boars. Just a few yards from the gates is a small guardhouse with a tall chimney.
Sub-board: Stone Circle
The entrance footpath is a long, sloping footpath that connects the Entrance Gates to Hogwarts Castle. The path leads up the hill from the gates through a clearing in the Forbidden Forest. It continues past Rubeus Hagrid's cabin before ascending the next hill via steps. The footpath ends at the Stone Circle, where one can cross the Covered Bridge and enter the castle via the Clock Tower.
The Stone Circle is, as its name suggests, a circle of giant stones that is on the grounds of Hogwarts just outside of the Covered Bridge. The circle is a sundial.
Wooden Bridge
AKA Covered Bridge
This is one of several entrances to Hogwarts Castle. Its on one side of a hill and enters through the clock tower courtyard which is on the third floor of the castle due to the hill. This Bridge connects the Entrance footpath from the road to Hogwarts to the castle. The bridge is constructed of wood beams which extend to the floor of the ravine it laid across. The roof of the Covered Bridge was sagging and appeared tarred. The bridge blended in with the natural environment surrounding it.
The Covered Bridge began at one end of the Clock Tower Courtyard, at the base of the Clock Tower. At the end of the covered bridge there is a small stone gazebo with benches. Outside of it is the Stone Circle.

Clock Tower Courtyard
The Clock Tower Courtyard is a cloister on the base of the Clock Tower at Hogwarts Castle. This cloister seems to be one of the older parts of the castle and the ceiling and walls are dilapidated. It also leads to the Covered Bridge and, as it is on a hill, is on the third floor. In the centre of the courtyard is an antique fountain surrounded by statues of eagles. A pear tree also grows in this courtyard.

Clock Tower || Third Floor Entrance
The Clock Tower does not begin at the Ground Floor level. Because it is placed on top of a hill, the Tower begins at the Third Floor level. When you enter the Tower, there is a huge space, like an Entrance Hall with flights of wooden stairs at the right and left side. The first landing is at the Fourth Floor level. It is at this landing that are the clock's gears and face. This same corridor connects the Tower to the remaining castle. If you go up another flight of wooden stairs, you will get to another landing, this time at the Fifth Floor level. It is in this landing that are the clock's bells; some massive gold and copper bells. There is another corridor at this landing; like the other, it links the Tower to the main castle.
