The Head Girl sat alone at the Gryffindor table, again. Of course she was used to it at this point. They avoided her like the plague once it got out that her parents were seriously dark wizards. It didn't make matters any better when she had started dating Sylvester Gaunt either, luckily that was over. Paige should've been a Slytherin. She was told that constantly and firmly believed it herself. Almost all of her friends were Slytherins and her current boyfriend, JT, was a Slytherin. She wondered if she could just randomly switch houses. Her only friend in Gryffindor was Tasha and she wasn't even in school that often. Sighing, her green eyes swept the Slytherin table looking for a friendly face. Finding none, the disappointed girl pushed her dark tresses over one shoulder and continued pushing her food around with her fork. She heard a whisper and looked over. Everything they said were whispers. Damn Gryffindors, she though bitterly. She used to love her house and wear the colors proudly. Now, she found them to be the bane of her existance. She hated this house and the hypocrites that lived in it. Granted everyone was a hypocrite in someway, but these kids were the worst. They sat high and mighty and turned their noses at decent people, assholes. And I used to be one of those assholes. Sigh.
A clap of thunder sounded loudly over head, making the isolated girl look up. A storm was going to hit and hit hard. In more ways then one too. She watched the sinister clouds ripple and felt her mood change with the weather. A burning hatred built up in her as lightening lit up the Great Hall's enchanted sky. A few girls screamed in terror, causing Paige to resist the urge to roll her eyes. Another streak of white light hit a few moments later, quickly followed by rumbling thunder. It was incredible to watch. It also had a drawback.
With every swash of lightening, the dark haired girl felt her hate and rage grow to astonishing levels. She lowered her eyes once more to the Slytherin table, only this time those suddenly dark green eyes weren't looking for friends. Paige hadn't seen or heard from Sy in days and right now she'd like to keep it that way. Not out of fear of him, more out of fear of what she would do to him. A random beam of sunlight caught her attention. She looked up to find a small break in the menacing clouds. The light centered on her hands and she felt her anger slip away. It was replaced with a deep sense of loss, deeper then she had felt so far. "I miss you too Caleb," was all she whispered as the light faded into the storm's wake.
