Appearance

Markings: Nothing special, just a scar on her leg from a dog attack when she was younger.
Description: JC is pretty short, only standing about 5 feet tall. She keeps her hair cut short, about level with her chin, and has it very choppily-styled. She tends to wear her house scarf as long as she can, only taking it off when the Summer's heat gets to be too much. She is pretty lean because she doesn't have much of an appetite, so she doesn't eat much. JC has terrible stamina, which causes her to be late for classes quite a bit. She also tries to wear some sort of color (usually her house colors) because she finds the Hogwarts outfits dull and boring.
Personality
JC is mostly socially awkward and shy. She's that one quiet person sitting in the back of class who never speaks unless she's called on. Outside of class, she's still a little shy, but JC is much more talkative. She tries to be as kind and polite as she can, always afraid that people won't like her. Once she makes a friend, she trusts them right off the bat. She instantly breaks out of her shell when a familiar person is nearby and willing to talk. She becomes much more excitable and ready to face the day. One thing that JC can't stand is arguing. When she overhears and argument, she feels the need to interrupt and become the peacemaker. Unless she sees the argument as completely stupid or irrational. When that happens, she will take a side and snap at the other person/people until her point is proven. She takes pride in being a mudblood, and will overcome her shyness and fiercely defend anyone being called that. Overall, she's pretty nice, but can be defensive if she feels it is needed.
History
-Before Hogwarts
Before Hogwarts, Jay was as normal as a kid with a wizard dad could be. She was homeschooled, so she didn't get to know many people. Her parents insisted that she didn't need many friends, and should try to just play with the kids in the neighborhood. At home, her father would use magic frequently. He was always enchanting something to either entertain the family or get some housework done. Throughout the years, they kept their daughter from telling anyone about her father's magic by feeding her a story about how if anyone found out, they might take her Daddy away. The story scared her enough to keep her from giving the secret away. When she got the letter from Hogwarts, she was scared at first to leave her parents. After they assured her that she would be okay and that she'd see them again, she finally agreed to go.
-First Year
JC's first year was difficult, as she had to put up with constant bullying from a snobby fourth-year student who kept calling her a mudblood. Going straight from homeschooling to that kind of treatment was enough to make her afraid of strangers. Because of this, she decided to keep her mouth shut and endure the bullying. She also found potions class extremely hard, and was almost held back. JC had a lot of fun in transfiguration class and herbology class, though, and exceeded those two. Overall, though, her experiences did not make her want to return to Hogwarts the next year. She told this to her house before her first year ended, and she was overwhelmed with the amount of students that wanted her to stay. She had a tough time deciding, but in the end returned to Hogwarts for a second year.
-Second Year
Thankfully, during JC's second year, the girl who had bullied her stopped. With that much stress gone, she was able to go through this year with good grades in most of her classes, enjoying learning as much as she could about magic. She still was extremely happy to take another herbology class, and had fun learning about the different creatures this year. Once again, she had one class that she couldn't do well in and this year it was divination. Trying to be more social, JC volunteered her spare time to help take care of the many mail owls. She enjoyed her second year and was glad that she had decided to stay.
