[/i], She thought to herself. "What on earth does their opinion matter anyway?" She repeated the lines to herself over and over again, trying hard to convince herself she believed them.

But she didn't. She was sick of listening to the incessant chatter of the girls she called friends about Quidditch and what boy was cuter than the next or whose breath tasted like they had a fixation on vomit Bertie Botts. It was all mindless dribble and she didn't care. On the other hand, she didn't feel like being told what a fantastic "friend" she was, or how she was "one of the guys" by her male friends. It wore down on her, and rubbed her raw. She was sick of the comments from the portraits and their snide remarks. Why the heck were they so high and mighty anyway? They were made of paint. And more than anything, if she got another letter from her mother, passive aggressively complaining how she wasn't a prefect or a head girl, she was going to jump off of the tower.

She'd had enough today, and all Arcadia wanted was to be alone. So she continued charging down the hallway. She fixated her breaths to the beats her feet were making on the ground. One step, two step, three step, four. She slowed her breath to the timing, and finally she reached her destination.

The Room of Requirement.

She burst into the room quickly and slammed the door. What she hadn't counted on was someone one else being in there. And she certainly hadn't counted on that someone being just who he was. With a sharp inhale of breath as they locked eyes, Arcadia blushed a fearsome red, and mumbled her apologies rushing back outside and collapsing slowly against the door.
