Carolina was once a cheerful bubbly girl that saw the world as one happy place, this changed dramatically after Kostos died. She grew cold and serious. Now a days she is always busy working and sometimes even forgets about Effy and Frankie.

Generally, Kostos was likeable and friendly, but he definitely got some odd notions and saw things in unusual ways. He had a great fantasy and was very superstitious. His head was always in the clouds, thinking up new and interesting ideas to paint. He used to make up bed stories for Frankie and Effy, which he wrote down in a book. Effy is currently keeping the book save from her mothers hearth.

Frankie is a very cheerful boy, you rarely see him without a smile on his face. He is very loyal to his friends and loves to help people. He is a good listener and gives good advice. Despite that Effy is afraid of telling him what's bothering her. She once told him about a boy in elementary school that called her 'chicka' whenever she passed him in class, the very next day Frankie beated him up. She listened carefully, she didn't feel like getting caught at the moment, if she got caught the teachers would may figure out about the secret passageway, and she really didn't want to be the person who ruined their biggest achievement. She heard the possibly clerk stopped talking, so she had to wait. Suddenly she heard the footsteps getting nearby. She stiffed. This is bad, what am I gonna do? there is no place to hide here... She checked the room for places to hide, but she couldn't find one and the noise of his footsteps were getting louder. Why did Toby get to have all the luck? He knew how to do this, and she was just an amateur. She saw a young man walking in to the basement, he opened his mouth to shout but she putted her hand quickly on his mouth. ''Listen, I'll pay you a lot of Galleons if...'' But suddenly he grinned at her, it made her feel a bit uncomfortable. ''What?'' she whispered. He removed her hand easily.''You must be a friend of these boys from Hogwarts, they come here often,'' he whispered, he still had this big grin on his mouth. She relaxed a little bit now, he didn't look like he was gonna punish her or something like that. ''You should be more careful, you know, you are lucky I was the one to caught you.'' He grabbed a some chocolate frogs and Jelly Slugs. He walked away like nothing happened. She took a deep breath and listened again, when she was sure the coast was clear, she crawled behind the curtain, get up and quickly joined Toby. She saw that look on his face, knowing he really felt like laughing right now, but she decided to to ignore it. "Everything OK?" he asked her, smirking just slightly. ''I am fine, but on our way back, I'll go first.''
