It was late at night and Bella couldn’t sleep. Since her brother had been head boy she was allowed to go out and about the school as she pleased. She decided to get up out of bed and change. Seeing that she had a lot on her mind why stay in bed right? She went to her dresser and pulled out a drawer searching through her close she grabbed a little blue and black plaid mini skirt and a white and black tank top. She slipped both on and layered her tank tops. She had the white one underneath and the black one on top, she slipped on her black laced panties as well. She walked towards her closet being quiet not trying to wake anyone up she grabbed a pair of flip flops and put them on. Bella took a look in the mirror and smiled at her reflection. Bella grabbed her wand from the dresser and fixed her hair, wearing it straight and long. She opened up her jewelry box and grabbed her snake jewelry. She had earrings, a necklace and even a bracelet to match. She grabbed her big bracelet as well that had covered her left over scars.

Bella sighed and looked in the mirror again fixing her make-up and fluffed up her hair in the back. She grabbed her cloak and made her way out of the dorms quietly. She didn’t want to wake the girls up. Slipping through the common room she opened the doors up. It was nearly almost midnight to be exact. Walking through the dungeons had been creepy lately. It made Bella walk faster normally she hadn’t been scared of anything. But with recent events going on like her kidnapping Adonia for example, it started to mess with her head. The ghosts and the random fog appearing out of know where. Bella finally got up to the entrance way of the school. Dodging a teacher quietly hiding as he had passed walking she slid quietly up the hall against the walls just like a snake. Bella was so fit for Slytherin it ran in her blood anyways. She was so Evil and manipulative a smirk came across her face at the thought.

She finally reached the entrance doors and pushed them open and putting her hood up. The weather had gotten a lot warmer out. She hated the cold and the snow, that had been the worst weather imaginable. She loved spring and summer it was a time where she had been able to wear cute outfits miniskirts, shorts, tank tops. There was a slight breeze and she shivered it was extremely dark out but, she loved being out at this time of the night. She made her way down towards the black lake. She came down here late at night practicing spells normally so she wouldn’t be bothered. Bella smiled as she walked down the path down towards the lake . She looked up at the sky and smiled as she saw the stars shining down it was such a perfect night and she saw the moon sparkling across the water and the reflection.

Bella went to her normal spot and took her cloak off and fixed her skirt, grabbing her wand. She loved to practice fire spells and the one that she knew how to do better than her brother was the Fiendfyre Curses. She was able to control it. She remembered the first time she had ever learned that spell and that turned out bad. Good thing she had been in a field when that happened. No one was able to control this curse better than she did. She casted it out of her wand and a dragon formed out of it. Bella made it circle around her and go across the lake then back around her again a few times. She finally decided to let it out and disappear into the lake water as she had heard a noise from coming over near the other side of the lake. She had her wand down by her side just in case and she laid back on the grass laying on her cloak relaxing like she hadn’t done anything.

[Jacob Titus]

Stay in the dorms for the night like a normal student? Normal? Student? JT? Never that. Of course on this night, like many nights, JT just had to do something extra. Many people didn’t know, but Extra was JT’s middle name. Jacob Extra Titus, it does have a nice ring to it. Actually JT didn’t have a middle name, but if he did, that would be it. Besides, look at the initials! JET… now that would be an apt nickname for exactly what he does after he gets done with whatever girl happened to keep him company that night. Yes, in JT’s life, jet is a verb, not a noun.

Right… extra, not being normal. Though tonight was a school night like any other, JT went down to Hogsmeade to have himself a good time. It wasn’t exactly Houston, TX with the night life or anything, but it was the best thing available at the moment. After a bit of schmoozing shop owners, he settled on the good old Hog’s Head. The dingy little pub was none too impressive, and in fact, tonight JT didn’t even feel like drinking though the bartender offered him some. No tonight… he had other plans.

“Alright boys! Pay up!” Jacob yelled as he triumphantly slammed his cards down. Now the boys out here used to play all kinds of ridiculous games. JT at first was confined to just betting on quiddich matches, but now he had infiltrated the minds of the town folk and got them playing good ol Texas Hold Em! Since he made the rules, he could often easily manipulate these drunken men and take them for all the money. He figured with the income streaming in like this, he could have himself a lovely weekend when it came down to it.

A man jumped up from his stool and yelled at Jacob, “Give me one more chance! Your luck is up! You better not leave!” Jacob Titus looked the drunken man up and down. He didn’t take threats too well. His eyes were a storming blue with gray streaks of fury, but he calmly replied, “Rule #17, get greedy and become the needy. When I’m done, I’m done. Say another word, and I’ll rip out your tongue.” With a smirk JT turned his poetic body around and walked right out of the front door. No one in the entire pub moved at such an original threat. When the door shut behind him, the pub simply returned to normal, as if the whole building shrugged and got over it.

After a short walk back to campus, JT settled on sitting out by himself on the lake since well, living with three pubescent boys wasn’t exactly the way that he wanted to spend his night. The sad part of the situation, he didn’t even know one of his roommate’s names. One of them foolishly tried to ask JT for his and he just stared him down. As he approached the lake, he soon learned that he wouldn’t be alone out here tonight. “Great,” he sighed, thinking it was probably some nerdy kid practicing spells because they needed to impress their professor tomorrow in class and be a show off.

Much to his surprise, but certainly not his chagrin, he knew EXACTLY who this was creating such an intricately controlled fiendyre curse that skidded about the lake elegantly. The real elegance however, laid in the woman who wielded the wand. Bella Gaunt, mmmm mmmm, did JT enjoy this woman’s company. In fact, so much so that they enjoyed each other again and again in one night. Tonight was a different night though, and on this night, he got to see a different side of her.

He rounded a corner and approached her cautiously since she had her wand out and he didn’t want to startle her. “Well, well, I see someone has been paying attention in class. You’re talented besides, well besides the wonderful talents I got to enjoy the other night.” No doubt she’d know that voice. JT took a liking to Bella, probably for a few reasons. At first, she was a little hard to get, even going so far as to roll her eyes at many of his comments. As the night wore on though, the two got closer, and even though much between them was sexual, he was beginning to think of himself as a friend a little more with her.

He laughed momentarily and then continued, “It’s a good thing, I haven’t been to a class in such a long time, by choice of course.” It was true, JT couldn’t be bothered to attend these classes when there was business to be taken care of. Classes didn’t help pay the bills, as he liked to say. Even if they did, classes required a bit too much, caring, and JT didn’t care much for things that didn’t have nice legs and breasts. He finally reached Bella and put an arm around her, “What’s a pretty girl like you doing out by yourself so late anyways? Though I must say, I’m pleasantly surprised.” Not bad for a night cap he figured. Maybe if she was done practicing, later on they could really have a night cap. Ah, the night was young, so many possibilities.

[Maverick Darkwood]

[glow=darkgreen,2,300] Dark lupine eyes followed after the screaming 3rd year boy, his bare ass streaked with blood and the remains of his pants trailing down and behind his ankles. Maverick lowered himself onto his haunches, ignoring the prey drive to chase him down and finish him through tooth and claw. Ebon lips pulled back over gleaming ivories in a very wolf-like snicker when the boy’s pants snagged on over a log, sending him face first tumbling down. Taut muscles flexed beneath the pale coat as he rose to his full height, straining to not run after him yet again. The Ravenclaw- as he will find out later- quickly picked himself up and dashed off into the safety of the school.

With a pup-like yip he bounded forward, snatching up the torn clothing in his muzzle and throwing it up in the air, rearing up on his hind legs and snapping at the air. He caught it just as it finished its arc and repeated this game, finding enjoyment in the small things. Yeah, things were so much easier as an animal. Everyone had their way of coping, whether it be through the harmless stuff from studying, or drinking or even sexing, to the slightly more dangerous outlet of fighting or drugging it up or whatnot. Right now he didn’t give a wolf’s arse about anyone except himself in all his canine glory. This was how he dealt.

His sister never could understand. But hey, he didn’t blame her. Coming from a noble and renowned pureblood family why would a Darkwood want to become an animal? And a pack-oriented done at that? Especially since his was dwindling down one by one…and because of the very members they were supposed to love and protect? Weakness. That was why. True to the wild nature of the predator, it was so black and white, almost natural to seek out the weak, to oppress- Nature couldn’t, and wouldn’t have that. Any threat would be terminated. But in this case that threat was blood of his blood.

He hadn’t realized he’d stopped, gazing into the depths of the forest from his now prone position. He ran his tongue over his paws, smoothing the sleek silver fur and then laying his regal head over his paws with a weary sigh. He had no doubt in his mind his father killed his mother, and he recently learned that his sister murdered her twin because daddy dearest asked her too. But what gnawed at him most was that if he hadn’t had changed when he did…he would’ve been next. And all because of some stupid Gryffindor girl. A low whine hissed from between his lips at the sudden flashback of seeing her that last time, committing violent suicide just to spite him. Yeah…vindictive bitch. Just as quickly that whine became a throaty growl.

His ears pricked forward, second nature to him in this form to be keen to the environment. A lazy wind flitted about through the trees and over the grass, bringing with it the scents of the grounds and beyond, the first chills of winter nipping at his wet nose. His coat hadn’t filled out yet, but even in the warmer months he’d always had a plushier coat than what was the norm. He rose to all fours, stretching and flexing the steely muscles since he’d been lying down for quite some time. A couple hours…since the night was in its prime. He trotted off, eating the ground with his leisurely gait across the open grounds, primal in every sense of the word as his humanity was steadily being forgotten as he stayed longer in this form. In the back of his mind he took note of that…seems he was spending more and more of his time like this, and it’s toll was making itself known more noticeably as of late.

Speaking of which, remember that sense of loss that had been like a thorn in his side? Bathed in the silver light, a platinum phantom roaming the forests’ edge, it came to him. He paused in his travel, leaning back and lifting his muzzle suddenly he howled. The first of the notes deep from his chest, rising up as if to caress the moon itself, eerie and serene. The pain of it began to show as the cry rose in octaves, becoming shrill, no longer a caress but a wicked slap to the calm beauty of the Autumn scene, a violent crescendo wrenched form his body before fading darkly. And with that he sprinted off.

He hadn’t gone far when the roaring in the distance piqued his easy curiosity. He adjusted course, and soon enough found himself not far from the Black Lake. He circled around, nearly indiscernible despite his silver coloring. He paused by the water’s edge, a good 50 yards away from the pair. He only caught the last of what JT’d said, ears pivoting. His lips pulled back in one of his characteristic grins, but to many it looked hostile. His bushy tail waved once behind him, head lowering level with his back as he watched the pair through inquisitive crystalline blue eyes.

The giant beast of cursed fire ran its course, but Mav went unafraid. When it neared him his lip twitched out of instinct, hackles rising as its light cast shadows over him fleetingly before the dragon left, following its masters will. He remained standing, oh what will the big bad wolf do?

Bella was finally starting to feel back to well what could you say was normal. No one was ever normal in the wizardry world. But, she felt like she was getting back to herself after the break up between her and Adonis. She couldn’t stand to look at him anymore especially when he had been around Sarina. Shaking that thought out of her mind she noticed the person had been JT. A boy she had recently met a sly grin came across her face and she smirked. Her talents were beyond her expertise. She was a very talented dark wizard she new tons of dark magic. It was in her blood also she was a very powerful wizard like her brother and Matthew. Thankfully for being homeschooled the past recent years had finally paid off. “Well, well, well if it isn’t Jt.” Bella slightly smiled and put her one hand on her hip. This was a side No one got to see of Bella the dark side everyone saw the sweet innocent Bella but, boy had everyone been wrong about her. She played two sides it was better that way. Make people think to be on her side at all times that was her plan anyways.

She smiled as he had put an arm around her typical flirting. He was definitely a charmer, she laughed at the thought. Why did every boy have to be like that? Sweep you off your feet just to get you in bed. With Jt ever since she had first met him she always tried not to like him. But things sort of happened one day. Then the other boy she had been messing around with was Mav Darkwood. Ah that boy so perfect, handsome, dark, and just wow. Bella why are you starting to fall in love with boys that wasn’t your plan. A voice kept telling her inside her head. She swore she thought she was going to go insane eventually she would crack. But, she stayed strong everything that happened with him screwed everything up. By him meaning stupid ex boyfriend who she wished was dead now. “Why thank you I guess being home schooled the past few years eventually paid off. Trust me these skills don’t come from being in class.” Bella said with a slight smirk looking up at him.

With Jt she always thought it was just a physical attraction with him. She couldn’t stand it, it had been bugging the crap out of her. “Since you haven’t been attending class Mr. Titus maybe I could teach you a few things? I know a lot more things than just that curse.” She smirked playfully messing with his hair a bit. That was one thing about Jt she liked was his hair. She could play with it for hours upon end. Why did he have to be so darn attractive? “I couldn’t sleep, plus I’m always out this late and besides I can do what I want around the castle. My brother’s head boy after all.” Bella smirked. “So I can come and go as I please.”She smiled as he had put an arm around her. “What are you doing out here this late?”she said as putting the question back on him. She was quite curious where the boy had been.

Bella felt like someone had been watching them for some reason. She always got that feeling and plus with recent events starting to unfold she always had to watch her back. She looked at Jt and gave him a I have a feeling someone is watching us look. Bella quickly looked around without notice, but no one was there. She ran a hand through her hair looking back towards the lake. She knew something was out there but, she didn’t know what it was. Maybe it was just an animal?

As the stars twinkled and danced together and apart, teasing each other in a cosmic ball, their streaking lights lit up a rather beautiful face. As the moon provided a soft, glowing gray against Bella’s gentle, pale skin, JT could make out the faces she was making today. Her cute smile as his arm swept around her, her sly smirk that made her so sexy. While he admired her physical qualities, she spoke about her skills, and kind of shocked him a bit. Homeschooled? It just didn’t seem right considering Bella was one of the more popular people he’d met at school so far.

He looked down at her, his height noticeably more than hers, making her all the cuter to him. As her eyes looked up at him and that playful smirk streaked across her face like a comet across the night’s active sky, he smiled at her calling him Mr. Titus. No one really called him anything besides JT these dates, so it made him smile, though the smile got significantly bigger when she played with his hair. It was like a weakness for Jacob, and if Bella didn’t know it, he’d be surprised since she probably played with his hair more than anyone. “I might have to take you up on that offer, you’d be my sexiest tutor… and then when we’re done with that lesson, we can go to my classroom, I mean bedroom and I can show you some more things that you can’t get from class,” he offered playfully, though he fully intended on making that come into fruition.

He put his second arm around her, directly in front of her in a loose hug as she told him why she was out here so late. JT had met her brother, and strangely, for as much of a “tough guy” reputation that he seemed to have, he was rather cool with JT taking Bella to bed. It was interesting, but JT was charming enough to win over just about anyone when he wanted to be. He could care less about him being head boy, but if it meant that Bella had enough freedom to come and go as she pleased, then great. “Yeah well I wouldn’t be able to sleep very well either if I was imagining Jacob Titus.” It was hard to tell whether or not he was joking or if he actually believed she was up thinking about him. Only JT would know, but it was probably safe to guess one way or the other.

He opened his mouth just a bit to answer her question about where he’d been, but he noticed that she was looking past him and he wanted to know at what. He looked back at her and recognized the look that she gave him and raised an eyebrow in concern. He turned his back to her momentarily and strained his eyes to see what was going on, but he couldn’t notice anything out there. Maybe it was just some creatures of the night watching them, but that was none too uncommon so it didn’t concern him too much and he turned his attention to her.

He felt like she still might be a little worried so he tried to cheer her up with a little poetry. He lifted his hands up a little towards the sky, “Put your hands to the constellations, the way you look should be a sin, girl you my sen-sation.” A broad smile stretched across his face, and JT couldn’t help but to smile himself at his cleverness with words. Not too many people knew this side of JT either, and honestly, he didn’t plan on showing it often unless the situation called for a little creativity, and more than just the creativity he had physically. He smiled at her and put his finger on her chin, bending down a little to give her a kiss.

“I think everything is okay,” he told her with a deep voice, trying to offer her some comfort. He knew that perhaps the best way to do it was the go ahead and answer her question. “Well, I was down at Hogsmeade gambling with the gentlemen. Easy night of work I’d say. I was the only sober one so it wasn’t too hard to take them for their entire paycheck just about.” JT started laughing as he imagined the look on their faces when he made his threat and left them high and dry with nothing to their name but their drunken state. “I’m here now though, and that’s what matters right?” he winked at her, and in fact, he was glad it was just those two… or so he thought.
