Elista was laying on a large long branch in a thick tree by the Black lake. He had been taking a rest from study in the library and decided that he needed some time outside. The black lake was one of Elista’s favourite spots to relax as not many people came by the tree he often was hiding in. Even if someone did most people didn’t look up at It. Elista had first found this spot by chasing after his Owl which had decided to play a game of hide and seek before Elista could finally get his mail.
The boy sighed and looked up at the green leaves above that shaded him from the current sun that was shining down on the grounds. His eyes were dark blue showing that he was relaxed and had no worry in the world at this moment. At this point he was just happy to be at the school rather than his new house in the middle of nowhere. Although some of the school system in Hogwarts was different from his home country most of it was still the same. In fact most of the changes were actually better than what was used back in Australia.
As Elista laid there a gust of wind came across the lake, it allowed ripples to appear on the black glasslike surface of the lake and allowed glades of grass to roll over towards Elista. He moved his head the opposite way to where the gust was coming from as it swept passed him and moved the tree that he was laying in. His flannel over-shirt whipped in the wind almost smacking him in the face and his eyes went a tinged colour of red showing he was slightly annoyed.
Elista hadn’t learnt to control his eye colour properly yet but at the same time he was hoping that his mother would just find a cure for the problem. It had been a while since his mother had gave him any news on her attempts to brew an antidote for his eye problem that she herself had caused. Elista mother always mucked around with potions and Elista usually tested them for her, unfortunately one just so happened to make his eyes change colour due to mood and feelings.
Soon the short gust slowed down and dissipated leaving Elista once again to his thoughts, allowing his eyes to slowly meld back into the dark blue they had been beforehand. The grass re-settled and the small ripples on the surface of the lake seemed to slowly fade away as the sun’s rays kept falling from the sky.
Elista moved himself around a bit to find a better spot to lie on the overhanging branch. As Elista moved around and changed which way he was facing her realised something about the scene looked different to him. It was then that he noticed that there was someone below him that he had not seen.
