*There are usually 10 1st-years per house (5 girls, 5 boys), totaling 40 students per year.
* 1st and 2nd Years and not permitted to Hogsmeade while in school
*1st Years are not allowed on quidditch teams unless for exceptions.
*1st Years are not allowed their broom on school grounds, only 2nd Years and up.
1st Years
Typically 11 to 12 years of age:

*Typically 12 to 13 years of age unless a student had to repeat the second year
(Only classes allowed core classes plus 1 elective:)
*2nd Years are allowed to pick only one class of extra study(elective) as the wish.

Extra Electives special to our site or special extra classes taught to obtain abilities or licenses. (Special extra classes are to learn that ability etc, but there is no O.W.L.S. or N.E.W.T. for those classes, same for these elective- as extra study but not eligible for O.W.L.S. or N.E.W.T. as of right now):
3rd Year

4th Years
*Typically 14 to 15 years of age
*Take all core classes plus two to three electives.
*Given more work than 3rd Years to study for O.W.L.S.
5th Years
*Typically 15 to 16 years of age
* Take all core classes plus two to three electives.
*End of the year take O.W.L.S. to determine which N.E.W.T. classes they can take the following year.
*One boy and one girl 5th year from each house made into a Prefects (Usually continue into 6th and 7th years.)
6th Year:
*Typically 16 to 17 years of age
*Only take N.E.W.T.-level classes based off of their O.W.L. scores
*Only allowed to take classes made __ score or higher on their O.W.L(decided by Professor, usually an A or above, sometimes an O or higher.) to get into that class for core and elective classes, take as many as they want of the ones they can get into.
*Have more free time and breaks but for studying for N.E.W.T. exam following year.
7th Year
* 7th Years are always 17 to 18 years of age because British schools do not require students to repeat years
*7th Year would have the same schedule he or she had in the 6th year, and would sit only those classes in which they received O.W.L.s meeting the minimum requirement of the professor for that subject. However, not all students take N.E.W.T.s as some occupations require only O.W.L.s.
*a male and female Seventh Year Prefect are appointed Head Boy and Head Girl from each house
