Kayla was born on 22nd January 1994. Her birth was actually a complicated birth as, as her mum was giving birth the umbilical cord got caught around Kayla's neck. So they had to do an emergency cesarean. Luckily Kayla was fine. The doctors had removed her just in time. Although she was kept in hospital for a couple days just to observe her to make sure that there was infact nothing wrong with her.
So two days later Kayla was brought home. At first her parents were clueless about looking after a baby as Kayla was their first. At one point she was nearly taken off her parents by social services because they thought she was being neglected, but her parents just did not have a clue. So the social services enrolled Kayla's parents into parenting classes. Within days her parents improved and the social services dropped the case. It was obvious as they were new parents they just did not know what they were doing.
When Kayla was two years old her brother Ethan was born. Now as Kayla was still very young she became jealous of all the attention Ethan was getting. So she started acting up, having temper tantrums, throwing stuff around. At first her parents thought it was typically the terrible twos, but they soon realised that she was just feeling left out. Her parents began to include Kayla more in looking after the baby and tried to spend as much time as they can with her. Kayla's behaviour soon calmed down once she realised her parents still loved her.
Now five years old and Kayla has a new baby sister called Morgan. Again another complicated birth. Her mother became extremely anemic and almost died. Her mother was kept in hospital for a week, which affected Kayla. She had never been away from her mother for this long before and she couldn't understand why. Her father took her and Ethan to visit their mum at the hospital, but when they had to leave it would end in tears. So her father decided to throw a small welcome home party with only close family and friends. It was a nice party and Ethan and Kayla instantly warmed to Morgan.
Now Kayla was going to school she was beginning to develop into her own identity. She found it easy to make friends and she was quite popular with the teachers. She just had a quality that people seemed to like. It was probably because she was a social bunny. However when she was nine Kayla discovered she was different from everyone else. One day Kayla had a argument with her friend and when she said "I wish you would just go away." Her friend disappeared into thin air. Kayla was shocked and felt extremely guilty.
All day Kayla was scared as to where her friend had gone. When it was time to go home, Kayla ran home and told everything to her parents. That was when they told her she was a witch. Her mother was also a witch but her father was a muggle which made her a half blood. Now that her parents had explained to her what she was she felt a little better, but she was ecstatic when her mother brought her friend back. Kayla went to hug her friend, but her friend just pushed her away and told Kayla she never wanted to see her again. Because of Kayla exposing herself as a witch, the family had to move to a different part of the country. Kayla become depressed and once again started acting up.
There was nothing her parents could do. She got in with the wrong crowed and her behaviour got worse as she got older. She didn't change until something happened when she was eleven years old. Kayla had just received a letter from Dumblebore accepting her into Hogwarts and she was shopping in Diagon Alley when it happened. All Kayla remembers was that she was dragged down Knocturn Alley and she felt a sharp pain on her neck. She tried screaming but the being clamped his hand around her throat to stop her from screaming. Kayla finally realised what was happening. A vampire was feeding off of her. Luckily though Kayla had a silver ring on her middle finger. She jammed her fist against the vampire's cheek and as the silver burned his skin, the vampire had no choice but to let her go. Kayla ran back to Diagon Alley and straight back to the nearest chimney to floo back home.
Her parents couldn't believe what happened. They rushed her to the hospital for wizards and witches. Luckily Kayla was not going to become a vampire. For her to become one, he would of had to drain her completely and then feed her some of his blood. So Kayla ended up having to teeth mark scars on her neck. She tries to hide them as she is ashamed of them, but sometimes people do see them. Kayla will only tell someone what happened if she trusts them, otherwise she just says it was from a fight she had with her brother.
When Kayla got accepted into Hogwarts her brother became jealous, as he was a muggle. He began picking fights with her and tormenting her whenever possible, and when the fights got really bad he would say something like "I wish the vampire had finished his job properly." Kayla now no longer speaks to her brother and she has no intention of forgiving him. Kayla stays at the school during the holidays, but only goes home at christmas and during the summer.
Her school years have been pretty normal as normal can be for a witch. She has made a few good friends and dated a few jerks, but how else do you learn in life. Now Kayla is in her 7th year she is now beginning to decide what else to do with her life.

Sample RP: As the sun poured in through her bedroom window, Kayla's eyes fluttered open. She had just spent six weeks of her summer holiday at home with her her family. She enjoyed seeing her family, if Ethan had not been there. Before she became a witch, her and Ethan used to be pretty close. Kayla couldn't help the fact she was a witch, she didn't choose to become one. But it was his problem, not hers.
After stretching Kayla got out of bed and walked to her bathroom. She brushed her teeth and turned the shower on. As the water heated up she stripped herself of her pajamas and glanced at herself in the mirror. The first thing she noticed was the faint circular scars on her neck. She run her finger over them as tears stung her eyes. Kayla couldn't believe that Ethan wished her dead. She didn't know he hated her that much. Kayla looked away from her reflection and stepped into the warm shower, losing herself in the lava like water. As she let herself get all wet, she realised that today was the day she was going back to Hogwarts. Kayla opened her eyes as she had had her eyes closed as the water poured over her, and smiled. Hogwarts was her true home. She felt normal there and not like a freak. She couldn't wait to get back to that school and begin to fall back into normality.
