Detailed Personality :As Jakob's family history and house (Slytherin) may imply, Jakob is rather ambitious when it comes to power. however, unlike your typical Pureblood, he's not so power-hungry that he becomes virtually evil in order to get it. he knows how far to go. he often looks for some friendly competition to satisfy his desire to win.
Jakob is a flirt. don't get that confused with him being a whore. he doesn't do those sorts of things, but he does flirt with any girl that he deems attractive enough.
the one part of his personality that sets him apart completely from his ancestors is that he is actually very friendly. he doesn't discriminate against the other Houses when it comes to his friends. he will strike up a friendship with a Hufflepuff just a quickly as he will a Slytherin.
also, jakob would be one of the LAST people to go and sign up for any Dark Arts movements. he may come from a long line of murderers and torturers, but he's the ugly duckling in the line of wannabe Death Eaters.

Jakob was half asleep in the back of the Muggle Studies class. the professor was going on about some war that was fought on a grander scale than any wizards war. "world war two" the professor called it. he told of how the muggles bothered using things called guns to kill their enemies. she compared some German guy with a weird mustache to You-Know-Who and compared his followers the "Not-Sees" or whatever he said to the Dark Lord's Death Eaters.
Jakob had no interest in Muggle wars. he didn't care much for muggles at all. not that he was a "wizards first" kind of guy, he just wasn't interested in their affairs. they didn't affect him, why should he care?
"whatever," he mumbled as the professor assigned a full page of parchment on the Muggle war. Jakob hadn't even paid attention. "another failing mark for me, I guess." his friend next to him sighed in agreement.
