“I’m Echo Summers and I‘m 17 years old. I don’t really have any nicknames since you can’t shorten Echo, though when my parents use to call they’d echo their own voice. They thought it was side splitting hilarious. I didn’t. So, why did my parents called my Echo? I don’t know, probably because they’re a bit crazy like that. They like to be different to everyone else, which is a bit like me really. I like to be unique. Anyway. I’m a half blood, both my parents are half blood. You’d think two half bloods would make a pure blood right? I was born on 21st December, which sucks a little really cause it’s so close to Christmas and people are always broke around that time. My parents have chance to save all year for my Birthday and Christmas presents though. So they have no excuse.”

“My personality eh? It’s always hard to describe your own personality. I guess I’m just a free spirit. I do what I like, when I like. My good traits? I’m a loyal friend, always there if you need a shoulder to cry on, I’m a good listener too. I have a good sense of humour, I’m always up for a laugh and I can take a joke, unlike some people. I’m quite witty and laid back. My bad traits? Well, I guess the fact I’m laid back could be a bad trait. I’m so laid back I’m practically lying down. I just chill out about everything and anything. I don’t have much of a temper either, it takes a lot to make me angry. Although, I do have pet hates that wind me up, like, people who bite their nails, for some reason, that annoys me. Anyway, back to bad traits. My harsh tongue. I can be harsh with my words and a little bitchy at times, I tell people what everyone else is thinking. I just can’t help myself, it’s like word vomit. So, what do I love. Well, I love butterbeer for starters. Mmm. Also I love art, charms, music, summer, birds, playing guitar and shopping. I hate, cats, butter, technology, wasps, snow and rain. My ultimate fear is clowns. I hate them, with a passion. My parents hired a clown for my 6th birthday and I hated it. It was just so creepy. Plus, you see all them weird clowns in horror movies. Not fun.”

“Music. I like music. I play guitar every now and then, it relaxes me. I learnt how to play the guitar when I was 10 and I’ve never put it down. Me and my guitar could go and sing on the streets on London. I don’t write my own songs or anything like that, I just play and occasionally sing. Oh and drawing, I love to draw, that relaxes me too. I’m quite a creative person. I’m going off track here… so yes, music, I love music and playing my guitar.”

"I‘m from Northern Ireland. Born and bred in Lisburn. My parents are Kath Summers and David Summers. They are what can only be described as hippies. Peace loving hippies. They both attended Hogwarts too, met in their final year and never looked back. I have two siblings, a younger sister who‘s called Ivy, she‘s only 9, so she doesn‘t come Hogwarts, yet. She’s annoying as hell, just like little sisters are suppose to be. Then I have an older brother called Jarrah, who is 18 and in his 7th year at Hogwarts. Oh and I have another sister somewhere in the world, her name is Fern. No idea how old she is though, she ran away from home when she was 18. Haven‘t seen or spoken to her since. My parents never told me why she run away though. Who knows, she might return one day, in the meantime, it‘s just us 3"

THE ROLEPLAYING SAMPLE !
Echo was walking down platform 9 ¾, pulled her trunk along. She was alone. Her parents and her younger sister had left her a few minutes before. The train was due to leave in 2 minutes. She quickly stepped onboard the train, pulling her trunk on. Jeez, it was heavy, but then again she had packed everything she own, just like she did every year. Her mother told her over and over that she didn’t need half the stuff, but of course Echo didn’t listen. She carried on pulling her trunk down the aisle as she tried to find herself a carriage.
The train was pretty packed by now. ”Should of got on the train earlier” Echo muttered to herself, she should of followed her brother when he got onboard the train 5 minutes before it left. Echo knew her brother would be somewhere on the train, but he would be sat with all his friends and Echo didn’t want to sit with her brother and all his friends. Though, being in his 7th year this would be his last train journey to Hogwarts.
The train started to pull off slowly. She passed a group of girls sat in one carriage, all waving to their parents who stood on the platform. She recognized a few of them from her house, but didn’t stop to speak. Echo’s parents didn’t hang around to wave her and her brother off, though that wasn‘t unusual, they hadn‘t waved her off from the platform for 5 years now. On the first year they waved her off, but it upset her mother too much. Though with her older sister running away from home Echo did partly understand. She dreaded to think how her mother was going to cope when Ivy comes to Hogwarts. She’ll be leaving two daughters and a son then.
Just as the trunk was beginning to make her arm ache she found herself an empty carriage. Echo pulled her trunk inside and threw it down on one of the seat. She collapsed into the seat beside her trunk and sighed as she looked out the window. This was the beginning of her 6th year at Hogwarts and she was looking forward to it.
