Good day. It is a pleasure to meet you. My name is Evangeline Grace Delacroix, Evangeline means “Messenger of Good News” I believe. In these times it is quite impertinent to ask for blood statuses but if you must know I am a half-blood, my mother was regrettably not a very good witch and was thus forced by her own family to marry a muggle. I was born in Hampshire in our family’s manor and I am 38 years old, my birthday being on the 25th of December.

My personality? My don’t you want to know a lot about me? I didn’t realize this interview would be so revealing, but anything to assist the public I suppose. I like to be level headed and calm, it does not do as a figurehead for society to lose ones temper. I enjoy spending time with my friends and my family, and of course my little pet cat Jewel. I dislike those that are two faced and double cross each other, however in my profession this is something that happens quite frequently. Fears? Everyone has their own little fear. I fear for the safety of my people and our society, I fear silly things such as spiders and sometimes the darkness. I like to indulge myself every once and a while with a little bit of chocolate or some cake, I am sort of a sucker for sweet things and anyone who wants to get on my good side will know that.

Something that I feel very strongly about is the education of young witches and wizards. Hogwarts is such a wonderful institute, being a former student of the school myself I can honestly say that it was one of the best times of my young life. Education is such an important way for the youth of the wizarding society to not only further their magical training and skills but to learn ideals and values which will further them in life. A lot of “pureblood” and elitist mentality that has been around even before the reign of He Who Must Not Be Named is something I believe stems from bad education as children, also from parents and their education. Hogwarts is a place where everyone from all blood statuses go to further their training and enter the Wide Wizarding world. We need to put aside our prejudices in order to further our skills but also to make friends where we didn’t know possible.

My dear mother Eloise was born to a pureblood mother and father, however born a squib, something my grandparents did not find met their high standards and was expelled from the family. She was forced to integrate with Muggles, something we should all do to create a harmonious society. She moved to from the family’s manor in Hampshire to Sussex and married a Muggle man, named Jonathan and they lived quite a happy lifestyle. My mother took a job at a veterinarian’s down in the local village and my father worked at the local bank. When my mother discovered that she was pregnant my grandparents allowed her to return, with hopes I would be of magical birth. They were rewarded of sorts, but their disrespect towards my own parents made me not want to spend much time with them. Being an only child allowed me to be spoilt from my parents with their love and generosity. I married a young wizard when I was in my twenties and we had a beautiful daughter, Gabrielle together. He however left me when Gabi was three months old as my career was advancing much quicker than his. We have not spoken since the divorce Gabi is now in her fourth year at Hogwarts and is a proud Hufflepuff. She is my pride and joy and I would not be where I am today without her.
