"Hey and it's nice to meet you to. I'm Lana Kerwood, although most of my friends call me Lany. It's lame but I've grown up with it so whatever. I really have no idea what the meaning of my name is. I never thought to ask. To be honest I don't really care. My birthday is 28th May 2031 which makes me sixteen. My bloodline however is not your typical muggle, halfblood, pureblood blah blah blah. I am a vampire. But before I was a vampire I was a purblood, but I don't class myself in any blood status as a vampire does not have a blood line as they do not have blood. Hence the reason why they drink blood. I was turned when I was eleven. Against my will. All I really remember is that I was walking back from a friends house, I was grabbed from behind and then there was this sharp pain on my neck. The next thing I know I wake up in hospital. At first I was very feral, but I met a guy who was a very old vampire. Like century's old. He helped me alot. Now I can control myself alot more and live off of animal blood. I know the consequences for drinking human blood and I do not want to end up being burned. However human blood is delicious. "

"Well I'm in Slytherin and in my sixth year. Kind of glad I only got one more year left. So you want to know about my wand. Well, the core is made from Basilisik Skin. An exotic I know. Lucky me right. He, it's Ash wood, inflexible and 12 inches long. It is kind of a dark wand, but I'm a slightly dark person incase you didn't notice."

"Ha ha! Well I definitely prefer men, but also curious about girls. So I guess I'm straight with bisexual tendencies. *Grins mischievously.* And why would I want to be in a relationship. You can't trust anyone but yourself. Plus I'm not made to be monogamous. I like boys and I guess I kinda like girls. I don't want to be tied down to anyone. Plus relationships are for people who are to scared to face life on their own and if you ask me, it's better to face life on your own. No one to let you down or hold you back."

"I only really have one habit, and I guess it's bad if your not a vampire but I love drinking human blood. It's the best thing ever. Plus it's how I survive. I'm pretty stubborn I guess and hard to figure out. You never know what I'm thinking. I can definitely be dangerous and like I said before I am a dark person. My likes, well I like boys and girls I guess, blood, the night and shopping. However I dislike Gryffindors, ugh their just so up their own arses. I hate the sunlight, well direct sunlight anyway, over emotional people, spiders, they have always creeped me out and being hungry.I'm not lets say an immediate danger to people here at Hogwarts, but I do have my limits. As long as someone does not piss me off to much, I won't bite. Plus if I do ever bite someone, which is extremely unlikely, I never bit to turn them. That is something I will not even inflict on my worst enemy."

"Any topic you say. Well I wanna talk about blood. Blood is what I live for. The best blood type around is AO negative. Unfortunately only one percent of the population have it, but I say the rarer, the better. Drinking it makes me fill alive again for those few seconds it is running down my throat. Being a vampire I guess you can say we are envious of the living as they feel more, but I disagree. When I was alive I thought hot dogs were the best thing to eat, but I was wrong. Blood is without a doubt the most delicious, metallic, sweet drink there is. Like a drug, blood is my heroin. I don't really have that many human friends anymore, as they are just scared of me. *Shrugs.* But I don't care, they weren't true friends anyway. The two muggle I suppose you can call them friends that I do have are just hanging around me because they are scared if they turn their back on me i will kill them. *Smiles.* I guess their smart, but I don't need friends really. I'm better alone. *Sighs, while thinking.* The transformation was painful. Your whole body aches. It's like your body is trying to reject the change, by the venom from the vampire bite refuses to let your body win. So you feel weaker and weaker until you finally die. But only for a short period. When you wake up, which is like a few seconds, you feel completely different. Like your whole personality has changed. Your not the same person you were before you died. It is extremely hard to hang on to your humanity. I guess I owe a big thanks to the man who trained me."

"Well my immediate family are dead. I accidentally drained them when I was turned five years ago. They were trying to help me, not realising I was actually a vampire and the first thing you feel is hunger. It's unbelievable how strong that feeling is. It's like, nothing else matters and your insides are on fire because your body is so deprived of food that nothing or no one matters apart from you ending this hunger. As soon as you get a sniff of someone's scent, you know exactly what you need. So like I said, my family were there at the hospital, and I couldn't control myself. I feel bad, I guess but I've learned to deal with that. Anyway after that I went on the run. A hospital is a dangerous place for a vampire. I needed to get out of there. I managed to run to Liverpool. There I met another vampire. He said he would help me control the thirst and teach me how to be more civilized as the first few weeks of being a vampire are when your your most feral. He trained me how to use my vampire abilities and control my blood lust but sometimes I slip up. *Laughs.* After that I came back to London to look for any other relatives I had left. But I really only had my aunt and unkle. They took me in for a while, but I couldn't hide the face that I am a vampire as I only went out at night, I slept all day and I never ate human food. As soon as I told them what I was they feared for my cousin and told me to leave and never come back."

A few things.

Vampires are classed as beings by the Ministry of Magic, a fact that led both the centaurs and merpeople to decline the same status since they did not wish to be associated with them.

Although vampires are studied in DADA, they have rights and are not considered a true threat to the wizarding community. However, not everyone do like or get along with them.

Also a lot of facts about vampires in harry potter world are left out. So we don't know everything about them to the full extent as we would like.

Here are a full rules that Sarah had helped us develop on this subject:

If you are a full blooded vampire, you are unable to go out in the sun. You are a creature of the night and there is nothing that can change that. This is how they were in the books so that is how they will be in this roleplay. Half vampires may go out in the sun, but not for long periods of time without protection. If you stay outside for to long, you WILL fry from the sun rays. Vampire's can't take these rays at all. They will DIE if they are caught in the sun.

Vampire's are allergic to garlic. I would have to say that this should apply to half vampires as well. Sorry if you wanted your vampire to like garlic, but it is said to repeal vampires in the books.

Please remember that wizards, witches, and vampires DON'T get along. It is said over and over again in the book so it will be true here as well. If you want your vampire to be a student at hogwarts, it's not very likely to happen do to the distrust between vampires and the wizarding world. That and seriously, do you think a teacher would let a blood sucker amongst their students without some sort of reassurance that their students wont be attacked? Please have a good reason for them being there and how they convinced the staff to let them in.

All full vampires would have to take special night classes.

Don't start going power crazy just because you are playing a magical being. Yes, you are a vampire and you get some special goodies, but your powers will be looked at closely and we will decide if they are acceptable or not.

Ask before sucking the blood out of someone please. I'm sure the other person would really like at least a warning before they get the blood sucked out of them by a vampire.

Do to vampires not being liked, we will only accept a couple of these and you application better be pretty damn good. We don't want a million vampires in hogwarts.

With all that said, I would like to know more of your characters background. How old when they turned? How did they turn? how well do they deal with it now? How harmful are they at being at hogwarts? How does other's react to them? Just all the small details you can think of about being a vampire and the transformation from human till now. How has it affected friends from before? Other than family which you stated that you killed. Any other long distance family?
