Lesson 1: Tea Leaf Readings

Calysta walked into the Divination Classroom to start setting up for the class, she was going to start off the lesson with Tea Leaf Readings. It was easy and they could also enjoy some tea while the kids chatted with one another or with her, she was a tad nervous. She thinks the nerves could be from how young she is and she graduated from Hogwarts not that long ago. First, she sat down at her desk and put her long hair out of her face, today her hair was blond streaked with pink, she loved changing her hair up every now and then.

Waving her wand, the kettles, cups, saucers, and utensils flew out and placed themselves on each of the tables. The tables were all over the room, sitting two at a table, she liked it that way. She was thinking of doing assigned seating, but she didn't want the kids to hate her if they got stuck to someone they don't like, so she'll just let them sit where ever. Once everything was in place, all she had to do was to have the hot tea in the kettles, but she thought it would be better to fill them magically when all the kids were present for the lesson.

Thinking of the lesson she needed to write the lesson on the chalkboard Please open your books to the Tasseomancy section on page 46 and wait till I tell you further instruction. Waving her wand yet again, the chalk picked itself up and wrote it in her own handwriting. Sometimes magic is just too easy, but also it can make a person down right lazy at times.

But when Cali was at home, she never really uses magic, she cleans and cooks without magic. She likes the satisfaction of a clean house and a cooked meal at the end of the day, some people calls her crazy but she feels it should be the way of life.

Mikayla made her way up to the Divination classroom in the West Tower. It had been so long since she had taken Divination in her 3rd year, when she had gotten into a confrontation with the Divination teacher and stormed out of the classroom. She didn’t remember what the confrontation was about, just that it had something to do with Mikayla being right and the teacher being wrong and the teacher wouldn’t admit it. Therefore, she never went back to Divination class.

Now, there was a new Divination teacher, so Mikayla decided that she might give the class another try. It wasn’t like she didn’t like the subject, she felt like she might have actually been good at it if she didn’t leave the class on her first day but she never had the chance to try it out.

She stopped just outside the door, debating whether or not she wanted to go through with this. She would probably be alone in the class with a bunch of younger kids all taking the class for the first time. She was hoping at least someone she knew would be in the class so she could share a table with them. Mostly, she was hoping Kite might take this class. There was always time to spend time with Kite in her opinion and as they didn’t have any classes together as far a she knew, it would be great to have at least one.

Finally deciding to go inside, she saw the teacher writing the instructions on the board. [green] Hey. [/green] She gave a small smile and took a seat at a table, getting her book out of her bag and opening it to the required section.
