An unforgettable night (Syrus)

It was later towards the evening Bella had to get a few things from knocturn alley she hated coming down here. Everything reminded her of Adonis walking through the streets she felt a chilly breeze past her and rapped her cloak around her and put her hood up. Underneath the cloak she had on a leopard pinkish purple top that was corset looking, a pair of jeans, heals, bracelets that covered her old cuts on her wrists that were still there. The old Bella was back brand new and improved. She continued walking the streets to a specific shop she needed to go into. She knew she should have just gone to Adonis uncle for the potion but, she couldn’t. This is the one that she needed for her parents. Why they didn’t come down here for it was beyond her but, she didn’t ask any questions when it came down to that.

Bella finally walked into the shop she asked the old man at the counter if he had what she needed. He did so he handed it over towards her. It had already been paid for so she didn’t need to give it to him. Bella slipped it in the pocket of her cloak and said thank you to the old man and left accidently slamming the door behind her. It was darker out now and she had her hand up against her wand clenching it in her hand. She was walking down an alley way and some creeper was following her she turned around and shouted expelliarmus and the younger boy flung himself up against the wall she smirked at him. She heard footsteps coming from the other way she didn’t know what to do. She hid in the darkness holding the boy who was half knocked out by the looks at it and waited for the person to walk past her to see who it was. Hopefully it was someone she knew.

His parents had decided it would be a good day for shopping at Diagon Alley, his mother thinking perhaps they could get the books Syrus would need for next year and what not out of the way. Why his father had wanted to come along he had no idea, he rarely went anywhere if his worthless youngest son was to be there. And his stupid mother kept trying to get them to talk about stupid things, like a shopping trip and a little chit chat was going to fix their relationship.

In yet another futile attempt, she made his father stay with him when he was getting measured for new robes while she went off to get some books or some such. His father only stayed until she had disappeared into a shop and then, with a sharp comment comparing him to his brother oh yet again that left him seething, went ambling after her without a second glance back. He was damn grateful when he left, however, and as soon as the measuring was done he turned the complete opposite direction and made his way to Knockturn Alley. His mother and father would never go there, he could let his mother do her stupid shopping and get away from them for a while.

He wandered around for a while, not really doing anything, his mind raging. “Why do I always compare you to Zaine? You are no comparison, not even close.”

It always came back to that comment, even though he’d said it years ago… after he’d come back from his first year, the first in his whole family line not to go to Gryffindor and instead to none other than Slytherin. And people said Slytherins were stuck up…. No, Slytherins simply had the nerve to actually say what they thought. Gryffindors thought they were better than everyone else too, they just hid it like cowards and liars, afraid of what others would think if they actually came out and said it, pretending to like everyone else and get along with them all the time, afraid of being called nasty names like those mean Slytherins.

“Bloody Gryffindors…,” he growled, too wrapped up in his thoughts to be paying attention to much going on around him. He paused as he realized how dark it was getting, bringing him back to reality a bit. He thought briefly about going back… no. He was already late. He and his father were bound to have a row when they got home. He’d rather delay that as long as possible, thanks.[/blockquote]

Bella had dropped the boy from her hands as she recognized the voice that she heard when he had said bloody Gryffindor’s. It had been Syrus, one of Bella’s old flings. A smirk came upon her face leaving the boy their and erasing his own memory for good. Bella smiled and stood up and walked closer and closer to Syrus and standing slightly behind him tapping on his shoulder. “Well, well, look who it is wondering out and about in this hour especially here. Didn’t your mother and father tell you never to roam knocturn alley this late at night?”Bella smirked leaning back up against the wall looking at him still with her hood up. “I mean with the types of people that roam here you have to be specialized in the dark arts, I mean I’m surprised that poor boy even survived down there. Just got the wind knocked out of him.” Bella said with a cold dark laugh wondering if he would recognize her voice. Wonder what kind of mood Syrus was in it didn’t seem like he was in a good one.

Digging his hands into his pockets he looked over toward a shop across the street, wondering if maybe he should explore a little more. He might find something interesting, something useful. It wasn’t like he practiced the dark arts regularly or anything, but he certainly wasn’t opposed to them. They might come in handy in the future, after all… being a curse-breaker would be dangerous work, the more spells he had at his disposal the better.

His hand shifted to his wand and he looked sharply behind him when he felt the tap on his shoulder. He wasn’t stupid, he knew Knockturn Alley commonly housed an undesirable lot. The voice, however, put him at ease. Bella. He stiffened at her words, however. “That’s the point!” he snapped. Honestly Bella had probably never seen him any more than minorly annoyed. He didn’t make a habit of getting overly emotional, one way or another, in front of anyone. He much preferred for the world to see him as apathetic.

“They’d never be caught dead here…,” he glared at her briefly, calming down a bit as he recalled he was in public and losing it here would simply make him feel idiotic, “What do you care if I like to roam around dangerous places anyway? Worried about me, are you?” He smirked slightly, returning to his usual self. He really didn’t need to get into it about his family with Bella. Not here and not anywhere else either… ever.

Isabella looked at Syrus and her eyes widened. “Wahoo, hey I was only kidding. Don’t get your wand in a knot.” She told him and bit her lip. Isabella and Syrus always had a thing for each other but, it came and gone. She looked at him and rolled his eyes. “No I’m not worried about you.” She half lied. Maybe she had been just a little bit? But, like she was going to tell him that? She laughed at the thought that she had asked herself. “So care to take a walk or go somewhere fun?” She asked him. She hadn’t hung out with Syrus in a while and she wondered what he had been up to lately. “So where have you been? Avoiding me?” She asked. “I mean I haven’t seen you in forever.” She said and gave him a quick hug. “I mean even since that one nigth in the common room which was pretty fun.” She said and giggled and played with his hair. “But, I have a boyfriend now so I’m taken again.” She frowned playfully. Hey it was just a little harmless flirting. She could at least do that even after Artemis had done it to her. All that Syrus and Isabella would ever be is friends and nothing more.
