In general, Ryan plus sugar was not good. Therefore, getting a sweet substance into his body wasn't always the best idea. The ironic part? He didn't really like substances with lots of sugar. Whether it was candy, cake, ice cream or any type of dessert, he usually stayed away from it. He didn't totally despise and dislike sweet things, it was just that he preferred not to eat them. The sweetest thing he came to liking was cupcake bottoms. Specifically just the bottoms, not the top, with the icing. Weird? Crazy? Very. Just like him.

The boy was always on a sugar high, with sugar or without in his system. It was slightly odd since he was on the older side and he still had really random and high bursts of energy almost all the time. He knew that he still acted very childish at times; sometimes it bordered on annoying, but he usually knew when to stop. Truth was, it was just him. He was aware of evil in the world, but he just chose to see the positive side of it

With that into consideration, Honeydukes was one of the last places one would think to find the Hufflepuff boy. Yet, Ryan was walking up and down the vast aisles, just perusing and looking at all the different sweets. It was more like window shopping... in the store. Ryan may not of had that big of a sweet tooth, but he had decided to come in here to find something for his sister. She liked candy more then him and Ed combined. Ryan grinned. One day she'd come to Hogwarts and then she could come to Hogsmeade... but for now, she was seven and at home. It'd hopefully stay that way for a while.

Daniel Carter had a sweet tooth, and a major sweet tooth, in fact. He craved some sugar and now that he could go to Hogsmeade, he would be able to get some. In his mind he made a list, of the sweets he was gonna pick up, sugar quills, jellybeans, soft decadent chocolates. He quickly trotted up the path to Honeydukes and nodded slightly coldly to the other students that were coming and going. He slipped into the shop and suddenly felt the smell of sweets entered his nose. It made him happy to be here and it was one of the places that he could spend eternity in without a second thought. Though he would never admit it out loud and to the entire castle, he chose to spend more time in Hogsmeade, specifically Honeydukes, rather than lazing around the castle when he was supposed to be studying.

His bright yellow Hufflepuff robe was left inside his dorm, revealing the very black attire that he wore. Well, nearly black. Black pants, shoes, a black button-down shirt topped with an emerald-green cardigan. Too dark. Check. Extra blackness. Check. He looked fairly different from the others inside the sweet shop. The eight house colors were all over the place. Red and gold here, along with a blur of blue-red-silver-green. He didn't care about other houses, even his own. But once he saw a familiar person, he decided to give some of his time to the person.

Walking up to another person wasn't like Dan. Taking the fact that he tried to be nicer now, it wasn't obvious. He knew that he saw that boy before. Another Hufflepuff, he knew that. Same year? Most likely so. "Hey,"

As Ryan perused the shelves, he saw other people he knew from Hogwarts. All the house colors combined here just like they did in the Courtyard and the Great Hall. It was awesome! Having all the houses united and not giving eachother any trouble. Ryan didn't even like houses in all honesty. He never asked anyone their year, house or blood line. It was just that he really didn't care for any of that stuff. He just wanted to know the person as a person. He didn't want to associate any of the general stereotypes against them. Not that Ryan was biased, it was just that after being around the talking of how each person was supposed to act, one's mind couldn't help but think about it. The solution? Not to ask anyone.

Ryan looked around, thinking about what his sister would like. Sugar quills, treacle fudge, cauldron cakes and chocolate frogs, probably. Ryan finally decided to get some cauldron cakes for her. They still probably had chocolate frogs left over from Christmas. He'd probably send Dusty out with a box and a note. Lila'd be so happy, then again, it didn't take much to make the seven year old overjoyed. He heard someone in close proximity to him call out and Ryan automatically looked around. "Hey, Daniel!" he said happily.

Daniel Carter. He was in his house and in the same year. Even though Ryan knew that Dan was a deviate of the stereotypical Hufflepuff, he didn't care. He only saw Dan as Dan and Ryan wasn't picky on who he talked to. All he cared was that it was human company. Houses were just a way to separate people, anyway. "How goes it?" Ryan asked, taking a box of cauldron cakes for Lila. "Didn't know you had much of a sweet tooth," he laughed, grinning at his house mate.

Gregory, or Greggers as he was partial to being called, was making one of his many rounds to Hogsmede for his tri-weekly visit to Honeydukes. Greggors was a big candyholic. He was probably to the point that if he didn’t have some sort of candy in his system, he wouldn’t be able to function properly. He had been in the store, looking at some jelly slugs when he noticed two of his fellow Hufflepuffs in the store. It must be a Hufflepuff thing, candy. He thought to himself as he debated whether or not to go and speak to them. They were both a year other than him and he didn’t have that many friends other than his older brother, so he probably hadn’t spoken to either of them before.

Its never too late to make friends I guess, right? He thought as he slowly made his way towards them, checking out the shelves as well. [yellow] Hey…you’re both Huffies too? Am I right?[/yellow] He asked an obvious question, just to break the ice. Greggors wasn’t what you’d call a social butterfly, but he wasn’t completely hopeless.

What in the Nine Hells was Kite doing in a candy store?

Obviously, being the cliche'd boyfriend and buying chocolates for Mikayla.
He browsed, ignoring the people bumping into him. He felt one hearty shove, which about made him dive headfirst into a barrel full of licorice monkeys. No pun intended.
He regained his balance and turned around, just in time to see three Hufflepuffs congregating.
He saw Daniel, who was more or less his House rival. They had words in the past, but more or less benign arguments that mirror the results of combatting superheroes or the chances the world is going to end. Hardly foes. He also recognized Gregory, but third guy, he had no clue. He minded his own business, giving Gregory a slightly playful shove, due to them being friendlier friends than him and Dan. He shot Dan a silly look, then began shovelling samples of chocolates in a bag that automatically tallied the price as the candy fell in. He loved his invention.
