Selena Gomez was born approximately six years after her parents (mentioned above in Family) moved from Grand Prairie, Texas in America to Liverpool, England in the U.K. where Selena was eventually born and raised.
As a young child, Selena often grew up wishing she had more siblings, but shortly after Selena's birth, her mother received news that she could not have kids anymore (( that probably isn't true in real life OCC, but then again neither is the Liverpool part)). Selena grew up since 5 years old till almost 13 with her pet tabby cat, Scootsie whom she liked to call Scooter because when he ran he had this big long fluffy tail that stuck straight up behind him all the time. Scootsie died via attack by a coyote when Selena was thirteen and about to get her Hogwarts letter, but not before he had shaped her life forever.
At age eight, Selena encountered her one and only tragic magical accident. One night around Christmas time, Selena was in the kitchen on the floor playing with some Lincoln Logs while her mother was cooking dinner and Scootsie was taking a nap across the kitchen in his little bed. Selena was rubbing two of the Lincoln Logs together trying to make fire how the Muggle television set said you could, yet her father (a wizard who always tried to hide it and never told Selena until after the accident) had always told her was rubbish. Well, suddenly the two Lincoln logs burst into flame in Selena's hands. She yelped, dropping them. yet they followed her rolling, still aflame, down the hallway, setting fire to everything in their path. Soon, Selena was trapped in her bedroom, crying in the corner holding Scootsie from where she'd snatched him up off his bed in her hasty retreat out of the kitchen. The whole house was aflame and yet the flames stopped just a few feet away from around her where the Lincoln logs sat at her feet blazing away. Her cat, Scootsie, was so scared that he meowed and meowed and eventually, her dad appeared in the doorway and raised an object of pencil-like origin and made the flames go away much to Selena's amazement.
When Selena asked him about how he put the flames out, her dad broke down sobbing because Selena's mom had died of smoke inhalation before the paramedics arrived. Her dad told her that he was a wizard, and then told her that that made her a witch. Selena was absolutely fascinated with the concept of magic and constantly questioned him in her curious way.
When a coyote killed Scootsie the cat, Selena was so mad that she threw a rock at the coyote which flew along aided accidentally by magic and shattered the coyote's skull. Selena was more careful to control her anger and hide her grief for her beloved cat after that.
Selena got her Hogwarts letter and was so excited she could hardly contain herself. Ecstatic with joy, we last see Selena climibing aboard the Hogwarts Express, eager to meet new friends and learn more about magic.
When she got to Hogwarts, Selena found out quite quickly that she excelled in Charms, Potions, and Occlumency while she was one of many students to fall asleep in History of Magic class, and she spending most of Herbology avoiding any sort of place with spiders which there were a lot of. She has been very popular with boys because of her rather astounding physical beauty but she has yet to find a boyfriend. She also hopes in her second year to finally try out for the Quidditch team.

Kailana spotted the young woman come oiut of the clearing and immediately tensed, drew her saber, and rammed a mental shove at the visitor. She gave her husband a gentler nudge,
Husband dear have you noticed I'm down here with the intruder? I could use backup.
Meanwhile, Alagorn was flying a scouting mission in Empire territoru for the Varden. He was supposed to locate the whereabouts of Rejag Murgel and his wife Kailana for the Varden had spies that said Alagorn had a price on his head and Rejag was behind it. Alagorn gripped Ruik's neck spike fiercely, as Ruik descended low over a small forest. He almost flew over a clearing but managed to veer out of sight from any possible onlookers.
But as he did so, Alagorn thought he saw two men in a tree, and the glint of metal from the clearing below.
Ruik?
he asked, the green dragon through their mental connection.
Yes, Alagorn? Did you see them too?
So Ruik had seen men in the forest too. Alagorn decided to investigate. He hunched over the neck spike, and he and Ruik together circled, and landed on a tree next to the tree in question, and several meters higher. Ruik landed silently, and Alagorn dismounted, drew his sword, and crept over to the edge of the branch and peered down. Yes there WERE two men down there and Alagorn immediately noticed the flowing crimson-and-black cape that distinguished Rejag Murgel.
His heart jolting in fear, he conversed mentally with Ruik and then started an arduous, stealthy descent toward the two men. When he was within earshot, and on the same branch but on the other side of the trunk he listened,"Damian? I thought you were out on a mission?" came the smooth voice of Rejag. A raspy voice sounded as the other replied, but Alagorn couldn't make it out. Something about a more delicate mission than usual, and needing a break. Alagorn signaled to Ruik and Ruik, who was behind Rejag and above the two men, bellowed, and opened his jaws pouring forth with a torrent of green flame (I do believe since Saphira's flame is blue, and Thorn's is red, flame color goes by dragon color)) shot out and hit the spot between the two men incinerating the branch, leaving them both standing in nothingness, but unfortunately in his haste to dispatch of the men, Ruik had also burned a hole right through the tree trunk and Alagorn, to keep himself from being fried, dove out of the way, but accidentally dove off the tree branch and plummeted into the ground from 6 meters up.
Kailana hadn't heard her husband's mental reply before she heard a roar that was unmistakably coming from a dragon, and she saw bright green flames erupt onto the spot where her husband and Damian were. Kailana cried out in anguish, and despair. She raised her saber and charged at the girl who had come from the woods. "You did this, you conniving wretched swine!" She seized the girl 'round the midriff, and pressed the flat edge of the blade to the girl's throat. "Tell me. HOW did that dragon get here? Who is the Rider? AND WHY, BY THE BEOR MOUNTAINS, DID YOU COME AFTER MY HUSBAND!!!"
