Time to break the ice (Artemis)

[Isabella Gaunt]

Isabella had widened her eyes as he had played another cruel trick on her. She huffed and looked at him with a pouty face after he had taken the ring. “Artemis that wasn’t funny.” She said and laughed a little trying to be mad when she really wasn’t. She stuck her tongue out at him. “You are so mean.” She said and looked the other way and started to walk away from him just joking around then she stopped and waited for him and took his hand again. Isabella smiled at him as they had gotten back into the house and they had started eating and such. She was so nervous about him finding out who she was or what exactly. When he said that she wasn’t a typically girl. He obviously had gotten that one right. Isabella smirked. “Oh you have no idea, I’m far from your typical girl.” She said and taking another bit into her rare steak. She looked up at him as he had said that he didn’t like his food that bloody. “Why, its good for you. You should try a piece.” She said and giggled taking another bite. She laughed as he had wanted a special cup. Emerald had brought him out one but, with wine in it and not what Isabella had been drinking. It was black and red and had Artemis written on it in really cool gothic writing.

Before she had spoken again her brother had appeared her eyes widened at him and she covered her face and thought oh great. Sy had body binded Artemis. “Sy come on don’t do this.” She told him and sighed. “I never ruined any of your dates. Oh wait you never had any dates because let’s see you slept with every girl in school and got one pregnant.” She said and smirked at him resting her arm on the side of the chair looking at him tapping her finger nails on the table. “Anyways he’s not a dog and why do I have to tell you anything? You’ve been gone for like ever. Where have you been?” She snapped. Sylvester was so irritating whenever he had been like this even though she had loved her brother to death. She watched him as he had taken a sip out of her drink. “No Sy don’t drink.” Before she said anything it was too late. She laughed and watched him spit it out. “Hey what can I say you missed a lot?” She told him. “For the second time he is not a dog and he’s perfect so back off.” She glared at Sy standing up and walking over to him giving him and evil eye. “Fine if you must.” She told him.

Artemis smiled as he finished his cruel joke. He had given the ring back and smiled. "I am not mean, I am just a prankster" He smiles and takes her hand as well. They went into the house and they had gotten there food and had been eating. He was a bit disturbed by her choice of meat. He smiled when he said she wasn't the typical girl. "Well I hope that's a good thing for me then" He said in a bit of a flirty and complimenting tone hoping to get her to blush again. He smiled when emerald came out with a cup for him, with his name on it. He took it and smiled, "Thank you Emerald" He took a large gulp from the cup of wine and smiled. "That is just what I needed." He smiled as he continued eating.

The next thing he knew, he was stunned, and bound to the ground unable to move, but he could still hear. He watched as best as he could as Sylvester came out of another room. He tried to move, but couldn't. Artemis watched him, unable to say anything. He tried to get up, but to no progress. He had only hoped that Isabella would remove the bind, or Sylvester would. Once he removed it, he stood up, and dusted himself off and looked at Sylvester. "What the hell was that for...you come to my house...and interrupt my party...now you interrupt our date...I understand it's your families house, but what have I EVER done to you, for you to come in here, and ruin our dinner?" He looked at Sylvester waiting for an answer.

"We'll have to see how perfect he is." Sy said, smirking. Sure, she hit the nail on the head. He never really dated. Had a lot of fun, though.
"So, he's not a dog? Oh well. I just wanted to be involved. I mean, really..." he looked at Artemis "What would you do if you come back to find your only family, and I mean only, in the company of a strange guy?" He pocketed his wand and looked at Bella. "I do need to talk to you for a couple of minutes, then I'll leave you to… this." he said, giving a skeptical look to Artemis. "Please, come with me." he said. He walked into the next room and waited for Bella and sighed. "Do you truly want to know where I've been? What I've been doing? Why I'm following you around more than usual, blah blah…?" he crossed his arms and waited for Bella's response.

Artemis looked at Sylvester. He was right, What if his mother was with another man? Or if his father was with another Woman? He would be a bit concerned and worried He looked over at Bella waiting for her to go with Sylvester. He sat back down in the chair watching them waiting for something to happen. He knew she would be ok, Sylvester wouldn't hurt his only living family.

Isabella had glared at Sylvester, did he really have to ruin their date? I mean seriously come on he always did this. I mean like all the time when she liked a boy. But, guessing by him and that he was back she understood why that he would come into his own house finding Isabella there. He was head of the house after all when he had gotten back. More like man of it. Isabella sighed looking at him. “I know you do.” She said and sighed as she stood up. “Sy do you really have to do this right now? I mean I know you just came back, you’ve missed a lot and hey at least it’s not Adonis. Remember how much you hated him and wanted him gone out of my life? So you should be at least happy for me?” Isabella gave him her evil eyes and huffed and crossed her arms. Why did he want to talk to her though? What did he have to say? I mean where has he been all of this time too.. She better find out these answers soon. But, other than that she was glad he was back. When she saw him she had been the happiest girl ever. She felt so lonely in that house and wanted her big brother back. Isabella gave Artemis a I’m sorry look for what her brother had done to him and a I’ll be right back look. “Excuse me for a moment, I’ll be right back Artemis. This won’t take long.” Isabella told him and smiled. “Okay, I’m coming.” Isabella said and walked behind her brother to the next room and leaned up against the wall looking at him. “Yes I do want to know where you have been all this time. Why are you following me around anyways, it’s not like I’m five anymore and why am I in some kind of danger?” Isabella asked and was slightly curious as to what was going on lately...

Artemis sighed and glared also at Sylvester. He Sighed and sat down as Isabella talked to Sylvester. He took a sip of his wine from the cup. He sighed and tasted it for a moment before looking back at Isabella. He watched her walk off into the other room, and he thought to himself with a sigh

'Just wanted to spend some time with her, that's all, have a nice dinner....maybe just relax on her couch...that's it...but no, he has to come in, ruin the dinner, and kill the mood.' He sighed and while Isabella was in the other room, he took a look in her cup seeing hat she was drinking. It looked Red, and he didn't want to taste it...He sat back as he thought he heard them coming back. He took another bite of his steak and glanced back at the door, He saw one of the elves and he asked politely for another cup of wine. The elf got it for him, and he took a large gulp from it, with another content sigh.[/center][/color]

He looked at her. "Then men I work for are seeking to kill you if I fail this... task placed upon me. Basically enough, they're using you against me. Now, all I need to know, and I promise to leave you to your..." he gave a disgusted look, leaning around the doorway to look at Atremis for a moment then shook his head. "thing."

He sighed. "I need to know if I could steal Ezekiel for a while. He and this Kite guy are on the top of my list for me to slay, but fortunately for them, they could be more useful to me than anything. I also need your participation in this, sister. I need you to keep a low profile... stay at that accursed school if you have to." he stroked his chin. "Hang on. You and I are done with this discussion, just think about what I said." he walked back out to the dining area. "You. Pup." he pointed at Artimes. "You take care of her, or else I will rip out your eyeballs, shove them down your throat so you can see me tear into your carcass. Got it?" he said, ending in a sing song voice. "There are dangerous men about that could kill you without a thought, and dance on your lifeless corpse, so be prepared for anything." He turned slowly. "Try not to burn down the house. Please?' he asked.

Artemis sipped the rest of his wine again and looked over at Sylvester as he walked back out. "I would never hurt her...I would never hurt any woman..." He nodded at his threat and warning "I will be ready for anything then...thanks for the warning." He smirked a bit at the fire reference then remembered what Isabella told him. He got rid of the smirk and nodded in a serious way "Wouldn't dream of it." He watched as Sylvester would leave after that point. He looked to Isabella with a sigh and didn't know what to do now "Well, Killed the mood, ruined dinner...ahh well...I was getting full...shall we go see that Secret Entrance now?" He smiled at her and had almost forgotten about the cup. "Hey uhh, Isabella...What is that red stuff in that cup...It had...a copper smell to it...IS there something you're not telling me?" He looked a bit concerned at her, wanting to know what i twas all about. He had a feeling he knew what it was, but He didn't want to believe what it was. He looked at her and waited for her answer.

Isabella listened to Sy as he continued to talk and rolled her eyes. He was kidding right? I mean come on... She shook her head. “Kill me but?” She looked at him confused a little. “So it’s either my best friends life or mine?” She looked at him. “If you don’t do this then I’ll be dead?” She asked him. This was a tough situation. I mean she had her brothers back no matter what but, Zeke was her best friend and had been there for her when her brother wasn’t there. What was she supposed to do? At least Artemis wasn’t really involved in this that much so she didn’t have to worry about him dying which was good. “You can if you need to I’m sure they’ll help you if you try and talk to them bro.” She told him.

Really he expected her to stay in school with the tournament going on this year and such. “Low profile, but that’s not fair. I do have a life you know and I need to start my training.” She huffed. But, if staying at the school during breaks and such then to keep her alive then she’d have to. What was she getting herself into she thought to herself and sighed. Then they had finally been talking she watched as Sylvester walked back into the other room. She stood in between the two rooms leaning up against the wall again. Bella’s eyes widened as her brother spoke. “That was a bit harsh Sy don’t you think?” She asked him. But he was being protective of her so she understood. She looked at Artemis and gave him an I’m sorry look for ruining everything. She nodded at Sy as he had asked her not to burn down the house. “I won’t” She told him and watched as he had left.

She listened to Artemis answer her brother back and smiled... But, then frowned at the fact that Sy had ruined everything for them to night. “I know I’m sorry about that. He can be a bit over protective of his sister you know.” She said and shrugged. She took her cup and drank what was left of it. She had been so hungry since she didn’t get to eat right away. When Artemis had asked what was in her cup. All she thought to herself was uh ooo ... Isabella bit down on her lip hard. What was she going to say, how was she going to tell him? Isabella looked down at her cup and back at him nervously... “I, I, well, I.” She stuttered a little bit putting the cup back on her table running a hand through her hair. She looked at him in the eyes and half smiled. “Don’t get scared okay or think I’ll attack you because I won’t. I’m a vampire.” She said the last part really fast and looked away. She wasn’t sure what his reaction was going to be or anything she was so nervous.

Artemis sighed as Sylvester left. "Finally..." He looked at her and smiled "No need to be sorry, he is just being a brother, heh."He sighed and drank the rest of his wine, and was about to go outside with her to the secret entrance and then he stopped and turned on his heels "So, the cup, what's in it?" He watched her facial expression go blank, and she had that 'Oh shit' look. He waited listening to her stutter finally saying it quickly "Wa...wait wait....You're a what?!" He backed up a bit not wanting to believe it. "Y...you're a Va..Vampire?! Don't you think that is something you should TELL Someone? Or maybe hint at it?" He sighed and walked to her and turned her to face him. He had a bit of a frightened look on his face, but it soon passed as he looked in her eyes. "When were you gonna tell me? Hmm?" He held her close looking down at her still. "I mean, that isn't something you should keep hidden" He smiled at her unable to stay mad at her for not telling him. "Sorry, didn't mean to get all upset. Just....took me by surprise.."

Isabella smiled at Artemis... “I know he was but, still.” She told him and shrugged as she had watched him take a sip of his wine. Isabella had so not been ready for her to tell him this. It made her feel like the room was spinning because she had been so nervous. I mean what if he had left her because of it? She liked Artemis a lot and she wasn’t bound to screw this relationship up. Watching him as he had turned when she had told him that she had been a vampire after giving him the oh crap look. She bit her lip even harder and made it hurt and let go. She watched him back up waiting for him to run out of the house and out of the door. But, but he didn’t? She looked at him curiously for a moment then quickly looked away. She had heard him speak and was afraid to say anything. She glanced out of the corner of her eye and saw him walking up to her. She still looked away but then looked at him when he had turned her face towards him looking at him in the eyes she half smiled... “Look I, it was a hard thing I mean it’s a hard thing to talk about Artemis. You don’t tell someone straight out oh I’m a vampire by the way.. Really? Would you do that? No probably not. Well you wouldn’t know because you’re not one. I didn’t know how to tell you.” She felt him holding her close looking down at her as she had looked back up, Isabella sighed. “I’m sorry I hid it from you, just I thought you would leave is all.” She said and shrugged looking down.

Artemis sighed as he finished his wine and asked her about her cup. When she had explained what she was to him, he was taken back a bit. He was Hesitant to approach her, but did eventually and smiled. He made her face towards him, and looked into her eyes.

"I understand it is a hard thing to tell someone...if It was me, I probably would of tried to hide it too." He sighed and smiled at her. and spoke"I wouldn't leave you...unless of course you tried to bite me." He said in a joking tone. Trying to lighten up the situation. He smiled and kissed her forehead and held her close. "Now...shall we go see this Secret entrance? I am dying to see where it leads." He smirks. and walks with her outside. He put an arm around her, as she led the way to the secret entrance. [/center][/color]

Isabella looked at him as he had sipped the rest of his wine and she finished hers and took another bite of her steak which she so wanted to finish but, she would eat later. Now she had to deal with this telling him. She felt him hold her close and she didn’t even want to look at him, she felt terrible and frowned. But, at least he understood somewhat when she had told him. “That makes me feel a bit better and now that I told you and I don’t have to hide it anymore. Trust me I won’t bite you unless you piss me off.” She said jokingly and laughed and smiled softly as he had kissed her forehead. “I’m glad your okay with it, my brother didn’t even know until well he drank out of the cup which was pretty funny.” She laughed. “Sure we can go see it but it’s inside it’s not outside. But it leads to some where awesome.” She smiled. It had been an underground passage that led from the house and past the cemetery to another building on the other side of the manor where there had been a lake. Isabella held Artemis close and walked with him as they made their way towards the secret entrance which was the bookshelf. She pulled open a book that was obviously a dark arts book and it opened. It was really dark so she grabbed her wand. “Luminos.” She said and made the light. It was really dark and cold they made their way finally towards the end which had been a old study room of the riddle house which Isabella had kept updated. It had bunch of dark art books from the past and newer ones she had put in there and spell books that her family came up with and put together. Isabella smiled as she had walked in opening up the other book shelf in the study and walked over towards the window and looked out towards the grave yard you can see which was on her left and a lake that had been hidden and their old play house which her and Sy used to play in.

Artemis smiled as he made her feel much better that she didn't have to hide anything from him. He wanted to let her know that she never had to hide anything from him, and that she could tell him anything. He would always listen. He chuckled thinking how that must of been when Sy had tasted blood from the cup and not wine. "Oh it's not outside? Well then lead the way beautiful." He followed her to the book shelf and watched her pull the book down. The entrance opened, and he followed her inside. he took out his wand as well and spoke up "Lumos" both wands illuminated the path and they walked for what seemed like forever. They finally came out into a lit place. The only light was the fireplace, but it was bright enough to light up the whole room. He looked around, amazed at all the books. He didn't want to leave this room. It was the one time he wouldn't mind reading. He smiled and sat down in one of the arm chairs. He brought Isabella over to him as well, and sat her down on his lap. "Yea know...you cease to amaze me, first a grave with two great dark wizards...and now a library...with dark arts books." He smiled at her and started to kiss her deeply. His hands roaming her back and sides. He didn't care if she was a Vampire or not, it didn't bother him. He started to kiss her neck a bit now, just being the romantic person he was. His hands were on her side and one of her thighs. He continued to kiss her neck, and then went back to kissing her. He tried to find that sweet spot on her neck that just made her go crazy, He knew most girls had one.[/b][/color]

Isabella felt like she shouldn’t get too close to Artemis as she thought she should. Maybe she would leave some things out about her now. She barely knew anything about the boy and they were going out. She smiled back at him as he said he seemed to amaze him. “I know.” She said and smiled with a playful smirk. She followed him as he had taken both of her hands which she hadn’t been expecting and followed him over to one of the arm chairs and she had sat down on his lap. The one thing that she wasn’t expecting was the kiss. She kissed him back passionately and felt his hands roam up her back and down her sides. Isabella shivered kissing him back as she had felt a cold breeze behind her. She flicked her wrist as she had been kissing him to make them go higher. It felt so nice, warm, and cozy by the fire even though it had been summer out but, she didn’t care. She kissed him more and giggled softly as he had started to kiss her neck. Dang it, he found it she thought to herself as he had found her one spot. She looked at him and smiled... "Should we?" She whispered in his ear.
