Hola! So, on an invisionfree site I am on, I am creating a Hufflepuff(or, recreating, since I use her often on many other sites now). This will be my first invisionfree site that I'll commit to, and they seem to have higher standards than most Proboards roleplay sites, which is good. I just recently filled out the sorting application and really just need advice on whether or not this is good enough. They want everything a normal site wants, if not a little more. I just hope that you guys could help me figure out what I should add to to add originality to my character and make her pleasing to read about. Here is the app:
Name: Abigail Marie Elliott.
Age: Fourteen.
Bloodline: Muggle.
Do you have more than one character? If yes, did you get permission to make this one?: Nope.
Physical Appearance: When you first look at Abigail, you'd notice her light tan skin, accompanied by her medium-length, minimally wavy, brown hair, and her almond shaped brown eyes. She has light freckles that powder the bridge of her nose and her cheeks, which only become truly noticeable during the summer, where Abigail has spent countless times in the sun. Her eyebrows have a small arch, yet they don't accent her eyes very well(not everyone can look like a model). Abigail also owns light pink lips that are puffier than usual at times. Despite that, they do not look as if they have been surgically enhanced.
If you continue to gaze at Abi, you'd move away from her face and pan out to take a look at her whole body. She is around 5 foot 4 inches, seeing as it seems to fluxuate. Abigail is 115 lbs, making her of average weight. The fourth year enjoys her food, and she'd hate to see herself get any skinnier than 105-10 lbs. She owns a few muscles, just for the sake of not owning any wings or chafing.
In regards to clothing style and make-up, Abigail's wardrobe is mismatched. Her style changes a lot, some days to girly, and other days to complete steampunk. Make-up, on a day to day basis is usually just black/brown mascara, with a light shade of lipstick and pink blush. She likes to keep things simple and natural, though on days where she wants to look cuter than normal, she wouldn't hesitate to add shades of purple/pink on her eyes.
Personality: Abigail Marie, on good days, would be classified as the stereotypical Huffliepuff by most students. She is upbeat, optimistic, and always has something nice to say about everyone(except for maybe the Slytherins, stereotypically). She also cannot bear guilt, or any form of burden. Thus, she finishes her homework quickly(unstereotypically). This aspect is also brought to people. If Abigail feels guilty about anything, she will bring it to focus to those whom it may concern, so that she can relieve her chest of the guilt.
Due to the fact she cannot bear any form of guilt or burden, Abi is quite irresponsible. She seems to believe that if she doesn't think about it, it won't happen. This train of thought, undoubtedly, leads her to peril though, because everything always ends up finding it's way back to Abigail, giving her even more to worry about. All in all, Abigail is a very confusing girl with an absolutely perilous way of doing/feeling things.
Character Background:Even though Abigail is a Muggle, she still was aware of her powers before she had recieved her letter of acceptance into Hogwarts. The Elliott's cat being lifted into the air without being touched and then dragged to Abi as a small child when the young brunette couldn't catch their scared pet tipped them off and gave them the idea that something wasn't normal. Mind you, they didn't send her off to some foster care at the realization. Instead, they welcomed it with open arms. And luckily, there was no regular sibling to call her a freak in the process to scar the relationship. Being an only child really did help.
And so, most of her childhood memories consist of her family continously trying to aide in bettering her magic skills(which in fact, they didn't do), and her showing off to her neighborhood friends. They'd watch in awe as Abigail picked up heavy objects "with her super awesome mind", or turn 3-leaf clovers into 4-leafed ones. Her favorite memory of them all, though, would have to be the one where she was 7 years old. It was the first winter of the Elliott family in England(they had only just recently moved from Wisconsin due to father's work and the reason it hasn't been mentioned until now is because it isn't important to Abigail), and Abigail had walked in on her mother crying. For what, she didn't know. All she did know/remember was that it really hurt seeing her mother like this. She had to do something. What was that something, you ask? Abigail ran up to her mother, grabbed her hand, and led her outside. She stared at a lump of grass that was poking out of the snow on their lawn for what seemed like forever, but, eventually, her magic worked on her. A large bouqet of her mother's favorite flowers had sprouted. They were rare to the area, yet Abi remembered that back when they were in Wisconsin, her mother had planted many of them in their backyard. What Abigail did had brought a smile to her mother's face, and the feeling Abigail had gotten from seeing that smile brought a great wave of happiness to the small girl.
Special Request (available at Intermediate**) No, thanks.
Desired House: Huffliepuff.
Roleplay Sample: "Dude no way." Were the first words to spill from Abi Marie's lips upon seeing where she was going to be staying for the rest of her terms here at Hogwarts. Because she was admitted to the Hufflepuff House, her common room was practically a cave. It wasn't cold though, it was warm and pleasing to look at. Very welcoming. There were plants everywhere, And Abi assumed it was to bring some sort of freshness and life into what seemed like a cold, dank place. There was a large fireplace at one end with multiple chairs of different sizes and types around it, with a small bookcase on each end of it. The bookcases didn't really appeal to Abi, but she was very much drawn to the warm fire currently brewing in the fireplace. She'd have to wait until tomorrow though; it was bed time.
Her dorm in itself was so.. Gold, to say the least. Not that the common room wasn't just that. It suddenly occured to Abigail that this school was very into their Houses. She wondered what sports here would be like. She knew they didn't have soccer, or basketball, since those were muggle sports, but what did they have? At the time Abigail knew nothing of Quidditch. Picking her bed was easy. As much as everyone cared about where they slept, just having a bed was good enough for Abigail. She didn't need a window to see the wonders of this place. Just being here was wonderful.
On top of everyones bed was a yellow and black striped tie, along with robes and other garments with the Hufflepuff emblem stitched onto it. It was weird how they seemed to look her size. How were they to know which bed she was going to pick and what her size was? It still hadn't sunk in that this was a magical world. When the realization ran through her mind a few times, a grin spread across the girls face.
