[Arista Theodosia]

Arista apparated into downtown London where there were little shops lined up down the street plus little bistro's, she loved this place, they had great things to look out and maybe buy. She had a semi-huge allowance but not that big, it was monthly, so that's why it's so big. She had her own separate account so if it went out, it was out and not continuing to go through her parents' money. That didn't bother her though, she didn't spend every galleon at once, she was pretty good at spreading it out through out the month, she loved her allowance.

Looking at a shop, they had cute little summer dresses and accessories, Arista was a sucker when it came to dresses, shoes, hair clips and stuff like that. She loved them all, she couldn't help but go inside. The air was cool and condtioned in the shop, she was started to sweat a little outside from working, but that couldn't stop her from using magic until she forgot that she couldn't do magic outside from school. Sighing she looked at the clothes, she didn't see anything too cute yet, it was still early in the summer for their clothing line to come out, so she could just wait...

Arista walked out of the store with a bag with a pair of red pumps inside the box, it was too cute to have her pass them up, she knew about a dozen outfits to wear that would go with the shoes. As she walked by, she seen bridal dresses, men clothing stores and a wig shop. She loved all these shops, she loved to look into the bridal one and just imagine what it would be like to get married and wear one some day. Just as she was starting to get hot again, Arista seen a little ice cream shop, a perfect snack. She went in, got chocolate ice cream, walked back outside to sit down and eat her delicious ice cream.

Anthony walked around the shops, a book or two stuck under his arm. He didn’t particularly like shopping, but a couple of books he had ordered in had come, so he had to go and pick them up. Being the shy person he was he was more likely to put his nose in a book than to joke with friends. It sometimes made him wonder why he wasn’t a Ravenclaw, but it was his pure heart that made Hufflepuff the house for him. He was one of the most loyal people you would meet once he got over the whole shyness factor and became friends.

Tony decided that since he was passing by, he would get come ice cream. It was a nice day to sit outside and everything. He went in and asked for a vanilla cone with a small smile. One he had his treat he made his way back outside and looked around for a place to sit with it. Most of the benches were already taken, but one in particular looked empty. He kept his eyes on it until he nearly crashed into a girl. He managed to avoid her, but his ice cream fell to the ground next to him with a splat. He was just glad it hadn’t ended up all over someone. “I-I’m sorry. I-I-I should have watched where I was going.” He said, looking down a bit.

Arista was just about to sit down when she seen a boy move out of the way, spilled his ice cream, and apologized. Looking up at him she felt instantly sorry, Oh no! I'm so sorry! No no, don't be sorry, you didn't know. Here sit down and I'll go get you another ice cream. she said and walked back into the ice cream parlor. The poor guy thought she was crazy how she just went back in and didn't say no or anything, but she didn't care she owed it to him. She probably wasn't watching out to where she went. Arista noticed that his ice cream was a vanilla and ordered a bigger cone than what he got, she had to make it up for him. How could she be so oblivious.

Walking back out, she smiled at him and handed out the cone, Here you go! Again, I'm so sorry I should have watched where I was going also. But accidents happen and it's no one's fault. she said sitting down at the bench next to him. There was something familiar about him, she couldn't put her finger on it, Do you go to Hogwarts by any chance? she asked with her head tilted while she licked her ice cream. The guy sure wasn't bad looking, he had a shyness to him so she didn't want to freak him out by her blabber. Looking across the street she seen that there was a cupcake shop there....today would be a perfect day to get a good sugar high even though she probably didn't need it.

Anthony was a bit confused when the girl made it seem like it was more her fault. She was right, though, accidents did happen and it could very well have been a two way street. Before he had a chance to argue and tell her that she didn’t need to get him a new cone she was gone. Rather than have her come out and find him gone, he decided to sit and wait for her. She seemed nice. His hands were sweating a bit, but he could try passing that off as the heat rather than the fact he got nervous around girls. Though for all he knew she might understand.

He looked up and was that the girl was coming back with a cone that was even bigger than the one he had dropped. He couldn’t help but notice she was rather pretty, which didn’t help his nerves any. “You really didn’t have to, but thanks.” He said softly as he took the cone and licked it. She mentioned Hogwarts and he nodded a bit. He thought he had seen her before, but not in his house. “Yeah, I’m a sixth year Hufflepuff. I would guess your Gryffindor or Ravenclaw. Either that or the nicest Slytherin I ever met.” Anthony said with a small laugh. He realized how lame that sounded and his cheeks went a bright red. He looked up and saw the cupcake shop across the street as well. An idea crossed his mind. “B-Because you did this for me I will have to make it up to you.” He said to the girl.

Smiling, she nodded her head, ”Oh it’s ok, I wanted to, I hope your not upset or anything.” she said looking at him. He was a very soft spoken guy, maybe it was because they’ve never met before, so he’s just being quiet. Arista was not a quiet girl, ”Oh Huffle? I’ve talked to a few before, younger than my class actually, they are really nice people. No no, I’m in Ravenclaw, I figured they didn’t know where to sort me at first when I came to Hogwarts, I was so out there and such. But I guess my noggin here got me Ravenclaw.” she said tapping her noggin and smiling. Arista was friends with a lot of people in different houses, she even had a few friends in Slytherin, yeah they were rotten at times, but she always got them back. She realized that he laughed then turned bright red, she chuckled and smiled again, ”Hey it’s ok, I thought it was funny joke.” she laughed. Arista was thinking that this guy was super shy. It was cute.

She noticed that he was looking at the cupcake café also, ”Oh you don’t have to, but if you want we can head over there and see what they have, I’m in a sugar kind of mood today.” she said then biting her cone. Arista was thinking and then got up, ”Come one, let’s see what kind of cupcakes they have there.” getting up and biting another chunk of her cone. Walking across the street and into the shop, she seen that there were tons of cupcakes and it was a little slow, probably because it was a work day. There were so many choices she didn’t know, some where huge and some were bit size, a thought ran through her head, ”Oh my, I didn’t ask. Were you here with someone? I’m sorry I didn’t ask if you were or not. Plus I didn‘t get your name.” asking the guy.[/ blockquote][/size]

Anthony nodded a bit when she mentioned being in Ravenclaw. “I myself had wondered where I would end up in Hogwarts. But the hat must have seen my loyalty and my big heart.” He said to the girl. He was getting a bit more comfortable. He took a bite out of his cone as she mentioned thinking his joke was funny too. He was glad he wasn’t the only one. That would have been a bit awkward. He smiled up at her softly. “That’s good, better than me making a fool out of myself.” He said to the girl, feeling his palms stop sweating.

He got up and went behind her into the cupcake place. He looked around at all of the different variety wide eyed. He almost felt like a kid in a candy store. He turned to the girl he was with as she asked his name and if he had been waiting for anyone. “Oh right. Sorry. I’m Anthony Davis. No I wasn’t waiting for anyone, so I’m all yours. That is, as long as we wanted to hang out….” He managed. Sometimes his mind took a few minutes to catch up to his mouth and he would say something he might regret later.

Arista smiled, ”Seems like you do have a good heart, you seem awful nice.” smiling at him. She watched as he took a bite out of his cone, ”So where are you from? Like where do you live? she asked. Arista was always was always a straight forward kind of person, even if she didn’t mean to sound rude at times. She laughed at his comment. No one can look like a total fool. It just depends how you look at the situation.” she said shrugging as she finished her cone. At times Arista didn’t say things that made sense to other people, but it made sense to her.

Anthony was his name, That’s a nice name. My name is Arista Theodosia, 7th year.” she said smiling up at him. He looked to be tall, unless she was just short. It was awfully nice to have him hang out with her even though they didn’t know each other too well, Well that’s how you make friends. she thought to herself. Oh ok good. I always like to have company, my cousin couldn’t come today so I decided to come by myself. Her cousin was Adonia Theodosia, they were a few months apart, Adonia being the oldest of the two. Arista didn’t mind if she bought anything or not, it was just the joy of going out that she liked.

Looking at the menu up top in the café, she saw that there was a sampler of all the flavors in bite size portions. ”Shall we try them all? There’s a sampler, my treat.” she said smiling waving her purse. She loved cupcakes, her favorite was German chocolate cupcake version, and there was a time when she tasted a pumpkin cupcake that tasted just like the pie! She hoped that was on the sampler plate. ”What’s your favorite cupcake flavor?” she asked Anthony.

Anthony smiled softly as the girl said he seemed like he had a good heart and seemed nice. “Why thank you. And you seem to have a good mind.” He complemented her house just as she had just complemented him on his. “I’m from London. My mom is a Muggle, so we live in a non-magical community. How about you?” He asked his new friend. He hoped that he wasn’t going to get too personal in asking her Blood Status and everything. He had just met her today after all. He nodded a bit at her words of wisdom. It took him a few minutes to wrap his head around what she had just said. “You really are a Ravenclaw.” He joked a bit to her.

Anthony smiled when she said his name was nice. “Nice to meet you Arista. You have a pretty name as well.” He complemented her. He almost felt like this was the time they should be shaking hands, but they had already been hanging out for a bit while they ate their ice cream. He nodded when she said her cousin couldn’t make it today so he was her company. “Then maybe it was fate we almost collided today. We were destined to meet or something.” Anthony joked, trying to sound all mysterious like some Divinations professors did. He had never had much interest in that class though, so it was hard.

Anthony smiled with a nod when she suggested they get the sample platter. He saw her get out her purse though, and shook his head. “You paid for my ice cream, the last I can do is treat you this time.” He said to Arista. He looked at all the cupcakes when she asked him which was his favourite. Sure there were some with chocolate cake and icing, but the boy preferred not to have a chocolate overload. “I like the Vanilla ones with the sprinkles the best.” He told his friend.

Arista laughed and knocked on her head, Well yeah, but what am I to brag about, there’s probably loads of people who are smarter than I. she laughed. She listened to him saying that his mom is a muggle, Arista smiled, she had a few friends who lived in the muggle community, she’s been there from time to time looking at the bookstores. Well my parents are both from Germany, I live in Puttgarden. Just on the beach actually, it’s my backyard. she smiled, I’ve been to some muggle communities, I love their bookstores better than the magical ones. It’s fun to see how the muggles take to wizards, ghosts and such ‘myths’. she said quoting myths. Some muggles don’t know about the wizarding worlds, so they make up what they would be like. Arista laughed when he said that she was a Ravenclaw.

Aw why thanks. she said blushing a little. Arista looked around a little more and blushed again when Anthony said that it was fate that collided them together, oh how she believed in the fates, Well call me crazy but that may be right, the Fates are certainly funny in that way. I could always make new friends. she smiled and nudged him. It was true, Arista loved meeting new people, everyone has different paths of life, pasts, and futures also. She was very weird in that way, not that he needed to know all of that and such.

Arista shrugged and put her purse back on her shoulder, I usually put up a good fight, but I guess I’ll let this one slide for now. she said winking at him. She wasn’t used to guys paying for her, that’s why she always paid for everything, even when she went out on dates with other girls. Ah the classics, nice. Well we’ll get an array of them. she said smiling. Walking up to the counter she seen the witch, Hi, Um…can we have the sampler of your cupcakes please? Put some extra german chocolate ones in and some extra vanilla’s with sprinkles on it. Please. the witch looked at Arista and asked where they would be sitting, We’ll be sitting by the wall in the corner. Is that ok with you Anthony? she said asking him.

Anthony smiled when she knocked on her head again and said there were probably loads of people smarter than she was. “I’m sure you’re plenty smart. I mean, by the sounds of it you like to read, so some of the information has to stick, doesn’t it?” The boy asked his new friend. He hoped she didn’t mind him saying she seemed to like books. It was just that she talked about muggle bookstores. “A beach is your backyard? That sounds fun! Like a good place to have friends over for a party or something. Then again your parents might not like a bunch of strange wizards showing up.” He joked. “And I will be sure to keep my eye out in bookstores for you if you like.” He offered her.

Anthony smiled a bit when she thanked him for the complement. It almost looked like she was blushing. He was usually the one blushing, not the one making others blush. He nodded when she mentioned the fates working in mysterious ways. “I guess they do. And it means that they are the ones who owed me a new ice cream, not you.” He said with a bit of a laugh. He didn’t mind dropping ice cream if it meant a new friend though. When she mentioned she could always make new friends he nodded. He kept to himself how little friends he had though.

Anthony smiled triumphantly when she put her purse away. “You can get me back some other time I’m sure.” He dared her to. “And besides, I was raised to believe a guy should always pay on a first date.” He said, the words getting out of his moth before his brain told him how stupid they were. But they were out in the open now, and there was no taking them back. He watched as she ordered their treats and pointed out a table. “Sounds great.” He said when she asked if it was alright.

Arista laughed and nodded her head, ”Yes, some of it sticks, but most of the books I read are not textbooks more of….supernatural and stuff like that.” she said laughing a little. Arista loved textbooks, there was no denying that, but there’s only so much you can take before you get utterly bored with them. So that’s why Arista ventures out to the muggle city to get books. Anthony seemed joyous that she lived by the sea, she couldn’t help but smile, he had a cute smile, ”Oh yeah I have friends over all the time actually. It’s loads of fun, whenever I wanna go surfing or body boarding I just have to walk out.” she said shrugging. ”Actually my parents are away a lot so they don’t care who I have over, just gotta make sure all the valuables are locked up in our secret place and don’t get the house too trashed. Perks of being an only child. I‘ll have to invite you some time. he said smiling.

”Yes do keep your eyes out, I might see you too at a bookstore.” she said squinting her eyes and laughing. At Anthony’s comment she couldn’t help but laugh out loud, ”Yeah I guess they do…curse you fates! You owe us money!” she said shaking her fist. Arista probably looked like a total daft to do that but she didn’t care, she was carefree and liked it like that. She smiled as she secured her purse, ”Oh I will. We’ll have to hang out more after today. I like you.” blushing. ”Ah this is a date now? Ok, we’ll count this as a date, so our next one I’ll pay, or we can just hang out at the beach and stuff.” she said smiling at him. She thought it was cute how he said ‘date’, she wondered if he was starting to like him, cause she was starting to like him.

”Ok good. More quiet so I can hear us talk, I’m a little hard at hearing at times.” she said. Walking over to the table, she sat down and noticed that the cakes were already there and some juice in her glass and a full pitcher to the side. Looking around, there was a whole assortments of them, thinking, she closed her eyes and swirled her finger around till she stopped. Opening her eyes, her finger was hovering over an all chocolate one, ”Sweet, I like to do that when I can’t decide on what I want.” she said unwrapping it and eating it. Once she chewed and swallowed the delicious cupcake she looked at Anthony, ”So about wanting, what do you want to do when you get out of Hogwarts?” asking curiously as she took another bite.

Anthony laughed and nodded when she said that most of her reading was supernatural and stuff rather than textbook. “I can’t say I blame you there. Sometimes it’s hard enough to read those for class let alone for fun.” He said to the girl by his side. When she started talking about how her parents were usually away he didn’t know whether to be impressed or feel bad for her. He liked the company of his older sister, but it was also nice to be alone sometimes. “That’d be cool. I can be good company, or at least that’s what I hear.” He said to his friend.

Anthony nodded when she said they might see each other in a book store somewhere. “I’d like that.” He said. He couldn’t help but laugh again when she shook her fist at the fates for owing them money. He shook his fist at the fates too, joining in. He blushed a bit when she said she liked spending time with him. “I’d like to spend more time with you. I like you too.” He said softly to Arista. “Alright, you can pay next time. If we did hang out at the beach you wouldn’t even have to lock up your valuables. I’m just an honest little Hufflepuff.” He told her.

Anthony smiled when she joked about being hard of hearing. “Then maybe I will just have to lean in closer so you can hear me better.” He said, doing so jokingly. He took a cupcake and then watched as she chose her. “That’s cool. I will have to try it next time.” He said with a smile. When she asked him what he wanted to do after Hogwarts he thought a little. It didn’t take long though, because he had thought about it before. “I like helping people, so I was thinking of studying to be a healer. Then I could help people every day. How about you?” He asked her.

Smiling at Anthony she was glad she knew what she meant about the books being boring at times. ”So what kind of books do you like to read?” she asked. Arista wanted to know if he read any of the books that she herself read, it was fun talking about books and what they thought about it or what the book meant to them. Arista and her cousin Adonia would do that all the time, they would both get the same books and read them, then they would talk about the book for about an hour to see how they liked it and who their favorite characters were. Sometimes they were the same sometimes they weren’t. Smiling Arista touched his arm, ”Yes that would be great I love company.” she said.

Arista couldn’t help but laugh out loud when Anthony also shook his fist, it was cute, she liked when people laughed along with her jokes….well it was his joke first she just added on. She smiled when he said that she liked her too, ”Oh no! I didn’t mean it like that, I meant that when I have parties or girls I don’t know very well that just show up to my house at random times of the day….or night. But your totally trustworthy in my books.” she said then smiled remembering he said that he was ‘an honest little Hufflepuff.’ she didn’t know about little, he seemed pretty tall to her.

When Anthony said that he’d lean in closer and did, she couldn’t help but smile and blush just a little, ”Ok now I can hear you!” she said laughing. Arista shrugged and licked the frosting, ”Yeah you should, plus you’ll never know what you’ll get. It’s better that way.” nodding her head. She liked choosing that way. When he told her what he wanted to do, she couldn’t help but smile, ”Well actually, I really love kids, like I can’t get enough of them, they are just so cute. So I was thinking about also becoming a Healer but for kids, kind of like….a Pediatrician is I think what the muggles call children healers right?” she asked leaning her head to the side. Arista felt like she was copying his profession or something, but she just kept her mouth shut and smiled at him. ”Seems like we have something else in common.” she said making an air checkmark laughing.

Anthony thought about it when she asked what kind of books he liked. “Well I usually end up sticking with comic books, I like how even the most shy and quiet person can be a superhero and nobody knows the difference. I also have read my fair share of science fiction though.” He told Arista. He thought books were ok, but there weren’t many he got too lost in. Guess that’s why he wasn’t a Ravenclaw. When she said she liked company and touched his arm he smiled bigger. “I think we will get along just fine then, don’t you?” He said to his new friend.

Anthony laughed along at their joke. Like someone would actually come along and apologise to them, giving them money for the splattered ice cream. That’s when something shiny caught his eye. The boy bent down and picked it up. “Huh, someone must have lost a Galion.” He said, looking around at the hustle and bustle of people. Whoever it was might have been long gone by now. “Maybe it’s the fates’ way of paying us back?” He asked his friend. He nodded when she explained why she locked up the valuables. “Got to hate it when someone you don’t know well shows up on your doorstep. Here, rather than stealing I will do the opposite.” He said, holding out the coin to her.

Anthony took a bite of his cupcake when she said she could hear him well now. “Well that’s good. 17 is too early to be losing your hearing.” He said with a smirk. He took another bite, not noticing the icing that was being left behind on his nose. When she mentioned wanting to be a children’s healer he nodded. It was a popular profession he guessed. “Yeah, they call it a Pediatrician. If you’re lucky you might even get into the Hospital Wing at school. Lots of kids there who get hurt.” He said, nodding as she checked off something else they had in common.

Arista nodded her head, she really didn’t know what comic books were, for being a bookworm like herself, she just didn’t know. But she didn’t want him to know that she didn’t know. She smiled up at him when he said that they’d get a long fine, ”Shoot more than fine, we’ll get along great.” she said. After she said that, she felt like smacking herself, she probably sounded like a lunatic.

Seeing when Anthony said that someone dropped a Galleon, she couldn’t help but laugh, ”No way? What a cawink-a-dink ay?” she smiled. She watched Anthony pick it up, ”I guess it is, whatever it is, the Fates are on our side today don’t you think?” she laughed. She nodded when he said that he hated it also…but Arista didn’t tell him that when she said girls she hardly knew, she was talking about girls that she hooked up with like the week before then left. For some reason they found her on the street and one girl followed her back home! She made sure that girl never came around again. But she didn’t want to tell him that she was bi-sexual, she could wait for that conversation later when they knew each other more well, she didn’t want to scare him off. When Anthony offered her the Galleon, she shook her head, ”Oh no no. You found it, you keep it. But thank you for offering.” she said smiling to him. He was such nice guy.

”Yes it is, I mean I guess it could be selective hearing, but with you, you’ll have my undivided attention.” she said winking at him. The frosting was very good and she giggled a little when she seen that there was still some frosting on his nose. ”Oh um…you got some frosting on your nose. Here.” she said smiling and then got it off using a napkin, ”There ya go…sorry.” she said turning red now, she hoped that she didn’t embarrass him. She listened as he talked, and she chose another cupcake using her method and seen that she picked one of her favorites, a pumpkin flavor, ”Well I don’t know about Hogwarts, the kids are too big for my liking. You know teen hormones, they get so mean.” she smiled acting like she was an adult. ”I want to work with babies until they go to Hogwarts. I want to open up my little own clinic in a big wizard community. I always liked being my own boss.” she smiled and shrugged her shoulders. ”So are you going to be going into training right after school or take a year off or so?” she asked as she licked off the whip cream frosting then took a bite.
