Anthony smiled over at her. He hoped that he wasn’t boring her too much. She seemed to clam up after he mentioned comic books, so that might have been a bad idea. This was great, just when things were going good with a girl he had to go and mess it up. His palms started to sweat again. When she said she thought they would get along great he couldn’t help but smile. “I agree.” He said with a definitive nod. He was going to make sure of it if he could.

Anthony nodded and looked at the coin when she said the fates were looking out of them today. He wasn’t sure if he wanted to keep the money, it was almost like seeing a ghost. But when she insisted he should keep it since he found it, the boy pocketed it anyway. “Are you worried? About NEWTs and everything I mean. I still have a year before they happen for me, but I am sure the teachers will be shoving preparation down our throats.” He said, hating to bring up the topic of school again. He hoped that she didn’t mind that they had come almost full circle.

Anthony blushed a bit when she said he had her undivided attention and winked. When she wiped the frosting off his nose he felt even more embarrassed. He just shrugged it off though. “You know sometimes frosting has a mind of its own.” He said, using her method to find his next cupcake. He reached for it and stopped as their hands brushed against each other. Quickly he took the cupcake that was next to it with a smile. “I was thinking of getting into the training right out of school. I guess I could take a year off, but I might get out of the learning grove. How about you?” He asked her.

Arista looked at him and she noted that he switched subjects, it was all good to her though, she liked switching it up a bit, ”Me? No not really, well except for Potions, that’s where my Ravenclawness doesn’t shine.” she laughed and shook her head. She was horrible at potions class, she didn’t know why she was bad at it. ”Are you worried about any exams? Oh yes they will…they already are before the summer started, bit annoying if you ask me.” she said. The professors were telling them how hard they would be working and such when they started the new year as 7th years, she just hoped that they still had times to hang out with friends and such after school hours. ”The one good thing about it is that I still hopefully get some free periods. That’s always to relax to.”

Arista laughed and set the napkin she used to get the frosting, ”Oh yeah it does, that’s why I lick the frosting off first.” she smiled. She seen how he used her method to pick the next cupcake, then noticed that their hands brushed one another, she couldn’t help but smile and noticed that he hurriedly grabbed a cupcake. She wanted to do something but was a little shy at doing it, ”That is true I never thought of that. I was thinking about taking a year off to do some traveling like to third world countries and see how they take care of one another medically. I could probably get some good medicine techniques, so I guess you could count it as learning along with a vacation.” she said laughing.

Her hands were fumbling with one another under the table nervously, she thought heck with it and grabbed one of Anthony’s hands, ”I’m really glad we bumped into each other today. I’m having a lot of fun talking and getting to know about you.” she smiled. Arista started to blush like crazy, she squeezed his hand and then let go.

Anthony smiled and nodded when the girl said she was just worried about Potions. “The potions professors sometimes like to give people a hard time. Would it hurt for them to smile once in a while?” He asked. He shook his head when she asked if he was worried about any exams. “I have never been the best at them, but at least I pass them all. And besides, if I need help before the end of the year now I know a Ravenclaw who could help me, right?” He said with a bright smile. It would mean more time together after all.

Anthony nodded when she said that she licked the frosting off first. “That’s not a bad idea, I will try that next time.” He said, unwrapping the cake and licking the icing off. He nodded when she said she was thinking of taking a year off and traveling. “That sounds pretty cool. You never know, we might end up being in the training program at the same time. That would be pretty cool, to have a friend there.” He said. He wouldn’t mind having training with her, the more he got to know her the more he liked her company.

He looked into her eyes when she took his hand and said that that she liked getting to know him and talking with him. “I am having a good time getting to know you too. You are a really cool person and could see hanging out with you again.” He said as he looked down at their tray. They were almost out of cupcakes, which might mean their time could be short together this afternoon.

Arista laughed, ”Oh I know right!? They look all mysterious like because they know how to kill you from a drink that tastes just like hot chocolate.” she laughed. She though about what she said and hoped that Anthony didn’t think of her as an idiot, but she didn’t care much, that though slipped quickly. She smiled when he said that she could help him with his exams, ”Oh of course! Anytime you need help with any kind of homework, you can always count on me.” she said smiling brightly at him. Arista loved helping people with their homework; she liked the feeling of helping someone and knows that they now understand what they are learning because of the person that taught them.

She nodded at him and took another bite out of her cupcake, she thought she was eating an awful lot, but she didn’t care, she wasn’t dieting or anything, she loved to pig out sometimes anyways. She always thought it was healthy to pig out. Arista smiled as he licked his cupcake, she liked how her ideas of something she done for years get passed on to someone else, ”Yeah that would be, at least all my nerves would go away, just thinking about the training puts my tummy in butterflies.” she said putting her hand on her chin. Arista was a good student, but thinking about something that she was going to be in for the rest of her life was sometimes frightening, means she is growing up. ”Plus we could be study mates.” she smiled saying to him.

”I don’t want this afternoon to end.” she said after his comment. All she could do was look at him, and then it registered to her what she said. This time she did feel mortified that she said that, it was so….cheesy. ”Oh my, I’m sorry I didn’t mean it to say it that way. But I still want to hang out with you today but it’s not like we can hang out again you know?” she said rambling it all together. Arista took a breath and smiled, ”I’m sorry, when I get nervous I ramble and such. I’m sorry.” she said apologizing. Looking down at the tray she seen a vanilla cupcake with coffee looking whip cream, grabbing it she licked off all of the whip cream in one lick.

Anthony laughed when Arista mentioned being all mysterious and a drink that could kill you. “And what is it with them and page 394? Does an add company give them money every time they start with that page?” He joked. He was glad that there were no potions professors around, or else they would probably end up getting a detention. He smiled when she said she would help him with any homework. “I might just take you up on that, though maybe it will be just as an excuse to see you again.” He said to the woman with a smirk.

Anthony reached out and took one of the last cupcakes. It was sad to see this cupcake go like this, but it would have to happen eventually. Though just because the last cupcake was going didn’t mean that the day had to end. “And we could form our own little study group. We could ace all the tests and everyone would be jealous of us.” Anthony predicted with a smirk. He knew it wouldn’t be likely, but that was still a few years away and he could wishful think, couldn’t he?

Anthony smiled when she said she didn’t want this afternoon to end. She seemed to get pretty embarrassed about it afterword though, but he let her rant and apologise. “Well I’m still free for a bit if you are. I mean we would probably have to move from here, but we could still hang out. I could make sure you got home safe and everything. Isn’t that what a man is supposed to do?” He said with a small smile.

Arista smiled when he said about page 394, she shrugged her shoulders, ”I don’t know really, I think it’s weird also, maybe.” she said. She also smiled when he said he’d use the excuse just to see her, she would like to see him at anytime of day, but she wouldn’t tell him that, he’d think then that she was a psycho. ”Good then, it’ll be another date sort of thing. But at school.” she said smiling slightly while blushing a little bit.

Arista watched as Anthony took the last cupcake, she smiled, but sucked at the same time, she wondered if he still wanted to hang out some more. ”That sounds really good actually, well you’re a year younger than me so I will most likely know everything that your getting taught, and I can give you some tips and stuff. If you want.” she said smiling. She hoped that she didn’t sound condescending or something like that, she just hoped that he would like the help, at times she wished that she put a boot in her mouth.

”Oh yeah I’m still free, it’s still the afternoon…well evening-ish, but it’s still young out.” Arista smiled as he said that he would make sure that she would get home safely, ”I would really appreciate that actually. You’re such a gentleman.” she said grabbing his hand and then letting go. After thinking a second or two, Arista had an idea, ”So do you know any good muggle bookstores about your community?” she asked hoping not to step on any toes.

Anthony laughed at their abuse of the potions professors. He had never been very good at the subject. That was no reason to blame the professors though. He knew they were just joking around and didn’t mean it though. “They always seem to be right over your shoulder when you’re doing something wrong, so we should be careful what we say.” He said with a smile and a nudge to her. He nodded when she said it would be a date, but at school. “Why Miss Theodosia are you asking me out on another date?” He asked with a small smirk. Not that he would argue though. He liked spending time with her.

He smiled when she said she would give him some tips on things one day. “I would like that. It would put me ahead of the class and would also mean spending time with a girl.” He said with a small smirk. She was turning out to be not just any girl, he really liked her. He hoped it didn’t show so much though, because he didn’t want to look despite. He didn’t want to scare her away when he was just getting to know her. Even if she was just going to be a new friend.

He nodded when she said the evening was still young. “I am allowed to play until the moon comes out. Then my parents start to worry.” He joked. He was sure that he could call them and let them know if he was going to be later, but they probably would get worried if they hadn’t seen him all day. When she asked about book stores by his place he thought a bit. “Well there are a few, I can show you if you like.” He said with a smile at the girl.

Arista laughed out loud when he said that the professors are always right there, ”That is so true! Every time I’m daydreaming and sketching, he always snaps his fingers in front of my face and I jump about three feet. So not cool.” she laughed. She liked how laid back he was and just could joke about everything, she felt very comfortable with him, she smiled when he nudged her. Shrugging she made a sly smile, ”Why Mr. Davis I think I am. If you’re up for it.” she winked and chuckled. She didn’t mind saying it was a date…she hoped he said it would be.

”You don’t hang out with other girls? But yes you would be the best in your class; I’ll make sure of that.” she said and then nudging him back. Arista liked to teach other kids…or tutor she guessed she could say, she loved it, plus it was extra time with Anthony and she was not worried about that. Looking at him she couldn’t help to think he was very cute, even though he was a year younger, but age is the last thing she ever thinks about, it’s about the attraction between the two people. And this one she was starting to get attracted to, but she didn’t want to say anything cause they just met.

Arista laughed again, that was another thing, he was super funny, even if he wasn’t meaning to, ”Oh she does? Well that’s a good thing to know, I think the moon won’t come out until another hour or so.” she smiled. Then thinking about it, she was wondering if he was being serious or not, she hoped she just didn’t offend him or anything, ”Oh sorry…were you being serious?” she asked biting her lip. Anthony said that he knew of a few, ”You do? That would be totally awesome, pick one with the best books.” she asked smiling brighter than a lantern on the darkest of nights.

Anthony nodded when she said the professor would sneak up behind her and snap in front of her face. “They are super-fast. And sneaky to boot. I bet they are all vampires and looking for some new blood to add to their coven. I mean it’s the only explanation. Hearing everything, they are faster than the eye can see, they are sneaky.” He said, counting off the reasons on his finger as he went along. As well they were all pale, but he wasn’t going to mention that right now. “I will always make time for a pretty girl such as yourself.” He promised her.

Anthony blushed when she asked if he didn’t hang out with other girls. “I do, I mean….. one of my best friends is a girl. Her name is Kelsi. But she is more like my sister sometimes than someone I could see myself dating and having a relationship with. I mean, not that I can see myself having a relationship with you. Not that I would mind it. We just met though and…” Anthony started talking way too much. His hands were starting to sweat again. He turned red and looked down at the empty tray in front of them where the cupcakes had been.

Anthony smiled when she said the moon wouldn’t be out for about another hour. “My little brother is a werewolf so I have to play with him in the back yard. I throw a ball and he brings it back.” Anthony joked. He didn’t even have a little brother. He nodded when she said to go to the bookstore with the best selection. “I still haven’t learned to apperate.” He admitted, bringing a small pouch for the floo network out of his pocket. He didn’t even think that might mean bringing a girl home with him.

Arista laughed as he named off the Potions Professors as vampires, ”I don’t think they would be vampires, they can’t be out in the middle of day remember? I think they are just super fast cause they can be.” she said smiling as she shrugged. She loved to think of the Professor as a vampire, but then again it would be very uncomfortable to know that any minute he could suck your blood right on out before you know it. She blushed as he said that he would make time for a pretty girl like her, ”Oh you do know how to make a girl blush Anthony.” she grinned saying it.

As Anthony talked, she tried to think of Kelsi, but she couldn’t put her nose on who she was, she would have to see whenever they hung out again at school so she would introduce herself to her. Anthony started to ramble, then he just looked down at the tray of cupcakes that were there and didn’t say anything, ”Hey you ok?” she said picking her chair up and then moving closer to him. Arista took his hand and noticed it was a little perspiration on it, she didn’t care, ”It’s ok, I know we just met, and I can sense that we have a connection, but we can take it slow, it’s all good.” she said as she rubbed the top of his palm. Arista hoped and prayed that he didn’t think she was crazy by taking his hand and thinking for him, but she did think of him as very attractive.

Arista’s eyes got big, ”You didn’t say anything about having a brother, just your sister. I’m so sorry.” she said looking down. She wondered how it would be like to have a little brother as a werewolf, but on second though….if he had a wolf brother, they couldn’t be around him during a full moon, ”Were you kidding?” she asked smiling a bit. If he was, she’d be so embarrassed. She heard him say he hadn’t learned to apparate yet, ”Oh I do! Where would you like to go? she asked smiling.

Anthony nodded when she poked holes in his theory about vampire Potions Professors. It was fun to joke but it wasn’t really plausible for a professor to be a vampire. If they were it would be the most self-controlled vampire we had ever met. “I guess it was a pretty bad theory. Had too many holes obviously.” He said with a smile. He smirked when she said he sure knew how to make a girl blush. He was getting the hang of this flirting thing it seemed. “Well I just take advantage of the opportunity when I see one who I find attractive.” He said softly.

Anthony looked up when he heard her chair being moved closer to his own. He probably looked like a mess from her angle. He smiled softly as she took his hand. Maybe he hadn’t messed things up as bad as he first thought. “I feel a connection with you as well. It’s just new and I’m a bit nervous.” He said as he looked at her hand in his. They seemed to fit together well. “I can’t say I ever had a girlfriend before.” He admitted to the girl next to him while he blushed.

Anthony bit his lip to hold back a laugh when she apologised for not knowing about his werewolf brother. He was going to tell her, but then she got to the conclusion on her own. He nodded a bit. “I was joking. I only have an older sister. Sorry, I thought a sense of humour was something that some girls looked for in guys.” He admitted. When she said she knew how to apperate he smiled. “And I guess we are already holding hands. There is this alleyway behind the bookstore, it might be a good place.” Anthony suggested as he gave her the address of the place he wanted to take her.

”Nah it’s a good theory….I just like to burst bubbles.” she said laughing. She didn’t try to sound mean but she hoped it didn’t rub off that way, she never knew what others were going to think…she wasn’t the Seer in the family. Arista blushed even more and smiled at him once again, ”Well thank you. And I do the same thing, you are very attractive.” she said and then winked at him.

She smiled when he said that he also felt a connection with her, she was glad to hear this then she wouldn’t sound like the sociopath in this conversation. Arista let go of their hands and felt bad that she had to, she didn’t know how long to leave it there, ”You’ve never had a girlfriend?” she asked curiously. Arista wasn’t trying to make fun of him or anything, she was just curious. She had a one boyfriend, many ‘girlfriends’, and a friends with benefits, but she wasn’t going to bring that up now.

Seeing Anthony bite his lip, made her smile, it was incredibly sexy to watch, she almost laughed but held it in. When he said that he was joking, this time she did laugh out loud and then covered her mouth when a few people looked her way, ”That’s what I though later in my head….I’m so gullible sometimes. Oh right you said that earlier…..negative points for not remembering.” she smiled. ”Oh no your funny, I love a guy with a sense of humor, trust me.” she said laughing and then winked again.

As Arista was holding his hand, she thought of the address in her mind and thought of Anthony and her going to the bookstore. She envisioned it into her mind, then feeling the tugging pull and the feeling of being squished. When it felt like a millisecond, Arista opened her eyes and seen that the bookstore was ginormus, ”Wow…..to tell you the truth I haven’t seen a bookstore this big….well not compared to Hogwarts, that library is huge too.” she said over looking all the books in the window and back at Anthony smiling. She didn’t let go of his hand yet.

Anthony smiled when she said she just liked popping bubbles. “Well feel free to pop my bubbles anytime.” He said with a smirk to his friend. He had never been like this before, but he figured he was getting better at it. He blushed a bit when she turned the table and called him attractive. “Why thank you. I don’t hear that very often.” He admitted, looking over at her. He hoped that she wasn’t just saying that because he had said it about her first. Otherwise he would probably look like an idiot right now. But even if he hadn’t impressed her yet, he was sure he could.

Anthony watched her had as it let go of his own. He kind of liked it, but she probably knew more about these kinds of things than he did. He would leave these things up to her until further notice. He blushed a bright red when she mentioned the fact that he had never had a girlfriend. “No, can’t say I ever have. I guess not many 16 year olds can say that and be telling the truth. But you know Hufflepuff, don’t often lie.” He said to her. He didn’t know why he was being so open with her, but as he had just pointed out he was a little Hufflepuff.

Anthony couldn’t help but smirk when she laughed out loud and people looked at her. He felt a bit bad, but it was all in fun. “I’m sorry, it was kind of mean of me. I mean you’re a Ravenclaw, so I figured I wouldn’t stump you for too long. My sister was a Ravenclaw too and always likes to hold it over me.” He said softly. He knew she meant it all in fun, but sometimes he was jealous of her smarts. “I’m glad I at least have that going for me.” He said with a smirk.

Anthony smiled as she took his hand again. He winced as he felt himself being squished, but then a millisecond later the feeling left and he opened his eyes. He smiled when she sounded so amazed at the store he had been to so many times before. He went with her, since she still had his hand, and looked in the window with her. “Yeah, it’s pretty great. I think I have been here often enough that I am recognised here.” He admitted softly, leading her toward the entrance.

Arista smiled and nodded her head, ”Yeah your right, a lot of other guys try to lie and stuff, then you can tell when they do cause they made the relationship bad. I like it when people tell the truth, makes the world go round more smoothly.” she said spinning her finger. She looked at him and just smiled widely, she was starting to really crush.

Nodding her head, Arista tried to stop herself from laughing, ”Oh no your good, that was a good burn on me though.” she said. The girl liked someone who could dish it out and pick on her once in a while; she liked how he did just that. ”Oh is she really? Well I would like to meet her one day, you know so the brains can talk. And yes you do.” she said doing air quotes over ‘brains’ and then smiling again. She noticed that she was smiling too much; hope he didn’t think she was like….she didn’t know….crazy she guessed.

”Do they really? That’s so neat. I go to different ones, I think you could call me a speed bookstore dater.” she said pulling him into the bookstore. Looking around, she noticed there were books everywhere, she loved bookstores like this, she wanted to see what all they had. ”So where shall we go first Mr. Davis? Comedy, Horror, Suspense, Teen, Romance? she asked. When she said romance she wagged her eyebrows and laughed once again.
