Disclaimer: While the events in here may seem rather biased toward Matthew Dermandois, I have given him permission to utterly decimate Kite in every way. Do not try this at home.

Kite was desperate, on the verge of emotional collapse. Knowing that he was walking into the ass kicking of his life, he followed Matthew Dermandois out to the forest to ask him questions, to find out if he knows anything at all about what was going on. Three times in Hogsmeade he was attacked, and twice in the halls he found there was someone watching him, soon to vanish. His paranoia had reached a fever pitch, and he was more or less ready to throw down just to relieve stress.

he arrived twenty feet from Dermandois, eerily calm. He knew, after all, that if he came across as threatening, he would probably get Avada Kedavra'd in the face. No surprise. He was pessimistic, as is, knowing that this new leader of the Dark Hand would kill Mikayla without breaking a sweat.

He also sought help from Matthew, if he wasn't killed first. he knew exactly what to expect, for he had seen it before.

Kite was in Divination, eying his tea leaves, when he saw the image of two wolves fighting viciously, one blue, one red. The red one fell in a heap of it's own blood, not moving. Kite dropped the cup and it shattered on the floor.

"Dermandois... I need to talk to you." he said blankly, all care of his own well being tossed out the window

Walking down from his office Matthew held his wand close to him under his cloak feeling the constant shadow of somebody following him. He figured if they had met anywhere else at Hogwarts it would cause a seen getting staff involved and that was the less of Matthews worries at the moment. The staff at Hogwarts had shown weakness and a pour display of leadership. To that, Matthew disapproved. If the leader showed weakness Matthew didn't care for them after that point.

Peaking over his shoulder Matthew lit the tip of his wand, walking down the familiar path to the Dark Forest. Nobody would bother them there. It would be the perfect place to talk. Maybe leave the dead body as well. No, Matthew wouldn't kill Kite. Most likely hurt him. But not kill. It had been awhile since he killed somebody.

Turning around Matthew cleared his throat looking at the boy. "What do you want? You've followed me here. What more would you like?" His voice firm.

Kite shook inside. He was losing it. He felt despair, pain, horror, terror, all mixed into one.

"I need to know for sure if you know anything about the Dark Hand." he raised his wand. "I.. I can't let them hurt Mikayla. Tell me!" he said loudly. He shook under the pressure, knowing he was outmatched, out muscled. He had no hope to win a fight, but hopefully he wouldn't let his tension get the best of him, but sparks were already flying out of the end of his wand.

He had lost almost all control.

He had been attacked seven times in the past week, obtaining injuries and having the shit scared out of him, and Matthew Dermandois was the only wizard in the area who had the reputation of being rather... dark. Kite had to know. Kite needed to end this before he lost everything.

His head pounded with pain, his tension at it's peak. It was like a dream, and he actually didn't understand why he was even doing this. He felt as though he needed to, as if this was supposed to happen.

Muttering to himself a small bulb of light flew from his wand floating between the two males illuminating enough light for Matthew to see Kite's face. And apparently his wand too. Raising his eyebrow Matthew raised his wand hand holding his wand above his head with his other hand. "Kite, settle down. I don't want to hurt you. Relax" His firm voice echoed through the dark forest.

Hearing Kite ask him about the Dark Hand and what he knew Matthew was confused. Dark Hand? He had never heard of them. And what did they want with Mikayla? If it was a older Dark Wizard group he might of recognized the name of it but he didn't. "I have no idea what the Dark Hand is Kite. Who are they? I barley know anything about them let alone associate with them. I've only worked with the Dark Forces." He confessed gripping his wand tightly waiting for Kite to through the first spell. Just from the looks of it Kite was about to have a mental break down. Could that explain why he followed Matthew to the Dark Forest?

He looked down slightly. He wasn't lying, that was for sure, but still... he couldn't control himself.

His mind emptied, as a serene look came over his face. His resolve snapped within, and like wires wrought too tight, chaos erupted from him, though he kept his cool exterior. He looked at Matt, then tilted his head.

If he died, then they would leave Mikayla alone. She could live on.

'Then kill me." Kite said eerily.

He began flicking his wrist, a blank look on his face, and a flurry of about half a dozen stunning and low grade offensive spells came out, quicker than lightning.
Then, at the expense of his own strength, he used GhostStep to trick Matthew's mind into thinking Kite was still standing there, but was making his way forward at top speed, pulling a fist back to strike.

Fight back. Fight back and kill me! He wanted to scream. He was done. Through. If it wasn't for the anti-self damage curse placed on him, he would have done it himself already. He wanted it to end, and, even though he lost all rational thought, something inside of him screamed for him to stop, to reconsider, to apologize to Matthew and walk away.

But he didn't listen. He broke down in every way possible, his heart pounding, his head pounding, everything hurting, but also numb.

Matthew kept a close eye on Kite. Gods only know what this kid might do. He was on the edge and apparently willing to do anything. And apparently he was. Moving out of the way quickly Matthew missed a few of the spells. Hastily casting and shielding charm Matthew looked and saw that he had disappeared in a flash.

Gripping his wand Matthew closed his eyes listening around for anything. A crack of a branch that he stepped on, the soft brush against the bushes. With a gentle flick of his wand white flames drew from his wand. Waving it around the white flames formed a circle around Matthew and the invisible Kite. "I don't expect to kill you. But I plan on keeping you here until I find you. You've casted the first spell and now we must duel." He said firmly his eyes shifting all over the place. "Kite I don't want to hurt you. But you must tell me why you are doing this!"
