Full Name:Nicky Valarie Austerberry
Gender: Female
Age, Birthplace & Date: 15, born in Northamptonshire on the 7th of July
Bloodline: Muggleborn
-Appearance-
Hair: She's got dark blonde hair that's been cut short in a practical, easy to wear cut.
Eyes: Her eyes are a greyish blue, like both of her parents, and are rather large and round.
Body Type: Nicky has a rather tall, slim, boyish build, and she's got some visible muscle on her.
Unique Features: Despite being slightly muscular, she's got very sharp joints. To put it in another way, it would probably hurt a lot getting elbowed by her.
Animagus: --
More Detailed Physical Description: In appearance, Nicky takes more after her mother than her father, having inherited her mother's, originally a Norweigan, more Scandinavian appearance. She's rather tall at 5"8 but due to her childish face and, to be frank, curveless shape, people often assume she's much younger than she is, something Nicky's grown rather tired of. Her body's littered with a few scars from her childhood, but most noticable would be the scar on her forehead that she covers up with her fringe, which stretches from her hairline to just above her right eyebrow.

-Personality-
Boggart: Cockroaches. Lots of them.
Mirror of Erised: She'd love to work in the Ministry of Magic, so she'd probably see an image of herself as the Minister for Magic.
Patronus: A border collie.
Temperament/Allegiance: Nicky's very firmly 'good', but she's not the type to meddle in others fights.
Likes/Dislikes: Nicky enjoys reading, flying and talking to people, and has a fondness for puzzles and games like chess. She highly respects people who are able to give her a challenge and enjoys food. A lot.
She dislikes being treated like a child or babied, or when people assume that she's naive just because she looks young. Most of all she dislikes seeing people get unfairly treated or tricked, and her strong sense of justice make her rather loud about these opinions.
Strong Points/Weaknesses: Her largest strength would have to be her determination and loyalty. She's a genuinely kind, if a little sarcastic and snarky, person who really cares about other people, but she won't change her views to help others.
As a direct cause of her strong sense of right and wrong, she's rather inflexible to change and can at times be quick to judge other people as 'bad' because they've done something 'wrong'. Nicky can also be pretty harsh and blunt when trying to prove her point and at times forget about the other persons feelings.
Whims/Habits: Nicky likes being able to fiddle with something at all times, and carries around different sorts of puzzles most of the time.
Detailed Personality: Nicky, having grown up an only child in a rather secluded area without many friends, doesn't have any of the social graces one would assume would come with being "rich". She's not sheltered or spoiled, but as a child she chose to seclude herself from other children. As for her powerful belief on what's right or wrong, it probably stems from a mixture of reading and watching far too many police and detective dramas and having a very strict father.
At times she gives the impression of not being 'all there' and will quite often space out. It can be very hard to try and connect to her when she's trying to solve a puzzle or finding the solution to a problem, because she's almost completely unaware of her surroundings.
To Nicky, standing up for her friends, or just for the people who are in need, is the most important. She'll get irritable whenever she feels that someone has been unfairly treated, and will do everything in her power to make sure that the right thing is done, even if it means causing a little bit of trouble.
Character's Family:
Mother, Kristina maiden name Fjelldall
Father, Samuel Austerberry

-Character History-
Nicky was born Nicole Valerie Fjelldal-Austerberry on the seventh of July. Her mother had insisted they have the birth in their home on the country side in Northamptonshire, and with the help of the midwife it was an easy and uncomplicated birth. Her parents, both muggles, had met in France on a holiday, and had stayed in touch through letters. Kristina, Nicky's mother, had eventually decided to visit Nicky's father in England and never returned home to Norway.
Growing up, Nicky had always been interested in sports, but because of her slightly overprotective parents and her own avoidance of other children, she would instead focus on track running and reading, opting to listen to the cricket and football games on the radio instead. Like most muggleborns, Nicky never showed that much indication that she was a witch, at least, not more than could be explained in other ways, so it came as a great shock to her parents when the letters started coming.
Her parents were reluctant to let her go to Hogwarts, where she would be away from their watchful eye and in 'danger', but the choice wasn't in their hands. Nicky herself was glad for an escape from home, where she felt smothered, and was intrigued by the promise of magic. Being able to cast spells? Just like in the stories? Of course it seemed too good to be true for an eleven year old. She also hoped that here she'd have a chance of actually making friends, without being worried that her parents would deem them 'dangerous' or 'a bad influence'.
At Hogwarts, one could say that Nicky took to the wizarding world like a duck to water. It all felt very natural to her - which isn't that odd, seeing as magic was in her blood - and she's been genuinely fascinated by almost all aspects of the wizarding world and her classes. When she discovered what the Ministry of Magic was, having had a large political interest since she was very young, she knew straightaway that that was where she wanted to work when she was older. Because of her high aspirations, she's made sure to study well and do her best in her schoolwork, ignoring people who claim that she can't hope to achieve such a well respected duty because she's a muggleborn.
Now having four years at Hogwarts behind her, and about to start her fifth year, Nicky hasn't given up in her determination to one day be one of the important, influential witches in the Ministry of Magic, and excited for more chances to prove herself to the wizarding world.

Sample RP: This was the second summer that Nicky had chosen to stay at the school. It wasn't that she didn't care for her parents anymore, but it never felt right returning home anymore. She couldn't explain to them everything about the wizarding world, when she'd try it was obvious that they didn't understand what she was trying to say, and they didn't seem that interested in trying to either. When she'd mentioned the Ministry of Magic and attempted to tell her parents what they did, they'd just started worrying about what a dangerous job it was and couldn't she just live a 'normal' life, like them?
It was a bit disheartening that her own parents couldn't support the life and career she had chosen, but she wouldn't let it get to her. None of the many letters they'd sent even mentioned her not having come home over the summer which she gladly welcomed. She liked Hogwarts, and she loved Hogwarts when she had the time to explore and enjoy it for what it was - a huge, magical castle surrounded by a fantastic forest. She could never get tired of this place, there was always something new to find and figure out how it worked.
She hoped her parents wouldn't mind her absence at Christmas.
