"Hrm. Well, I’m usually a fun guy, when I’m in the mood for it. I drink a lot, and it’s generally when I’ve got some alcohol in me that it’s all better. "Not only am I interesting, but I’m rich as all hell, if that might sway your opinion… Anyway, I’ve two things I’d like to mention here. The first is probably more important, and that’s my job. This’ll be my first year teaching History of Magic at Hogwarts, and I’m looking forward to it I suppose. I’ve always had a bit of a passion for it, and it was my best class back home – Not hard, considering I flunked pretty much everything else. The ghost they had teaching it for the past millennium or whatever made it seem dull, apparently, but I’m confident I can make these kids enjoy it. To be honest, working away wouldn't have been my first choice, but with the situation being as it is between me and my family I kind of wanted to get out of Italy. Teaching history had always seemed natural - Good money for talking about something I like, pretty easy if you ask me. And who knows, I might enjoy it too. Is it hot in here?

Eh, yeah, the next thing would be the lifestyle I lead… or used to lead, I suppose. As the son of a rich family, yeah, I’ve partied. Points of contention:
Why did he come to England at all? Furthermore, why would he endeavor to become a teacher, of all things? Would he not attempt to enter his own alma mater for gainful employment over that of a foreign nation, especially since you so painstakingly went out of your way to make his Italian ancestry clear?
Added on to that you waver between whether he needs this job or not, which confuses me, since he's supposedly loaded, given the antics he keeps hinting at.

This sentence also drops down in sense made to me about halfway through. The latter half makes me think it was a bad divorce, but she's dead, so...?

I'll make the first part clearer, you're right, on rereading that is a bit jumbled. Why he's started is answered, however - 'I still have a lot of my own saved, but I could always use more, right? Hence why I’ve decided to start working.'. Not as in depth as you may want, I accept, but it is quite obviously there. As you may have gathered, Raph isn't too upfront about himself, so taking that into account I think it's safe to say he may be embellishing certain things.

I don't get how you could think the second part of that sentence was a bad divorce. The idea is that he's talking about cocaine but is trying to to be deathly obvious with it - as he would in an interview situation, which is the point of this form of application if I'm correct?

EDIT: Well, I've edited everything you mentioned havign a problem with to iron out the creases, hopefully that'll solve it.

Hey, Im taking over this app now

First, Im curious... how did he get from having a financial issue to being rich? Did he win a lottery? Get a loan? Was he a hitman? What happened?

Also, we already have a History of Magic Professor. I believe there are other positions open if you would like to claim one of them.


After these changes, I would read over and see if its accepted.

He wasn't in a bad financial situation to right - He was always rich, but stopped being so when his mother cut contact? Sorry, due to the nature of this app it's hard to keep things chronological AND make it work as an interview. I probably won't use it if I make any other characters, it's caused too many problems.

Also, at time of application, the position wasn't taken, and while I accept that there's little can be done about that I'd like to say I don't really think it's fair that two very minor quibbles (their being picked out, I feel, part of Matt's app-reading style, rather than a general problem) stopped me from getting the position when my app was up several hours before the other. I'll get to changing it eventually, I'll need to rethink some things about the character first.
