Description of house

Isabella decided to throw a party with one of her best friends Mikayla. The two had an odd friend ship from the beginning. They didn't like each other at fist because, Mikayla had been a big gossip queen when they all hung out with Kali, and Candi. She wondered for a minute while she had gotten dressed and ready in her room. She had waited for Mikayla to come which she should be there soon. Her brother wasn't around so that was good and he wasn't going to be a party ruiner if any guys tried to hit on her. Isabella's brother had been the most protective brother in the world. He wouldn't let any guy near her except for a few and probably would have killed them if he had hurt her too. But, this beginning of the school year she had been single. This party was going to be the best ever.

She invited everyone she knew, and everyone from every house. She didn't care whether they had been mudbloods or whatever. She just wanted everyone to come together at the beginning of the year. She had a band playing as well. She had known one of the lead singers and they told her that they would come and play with her. She did give them some payment towards playing though. She didn't them to just play for free she felt really bad.

The party started at seven o'clock and everyone should be arriving soon. She told Mikayla to come a half hour early. Sure, she had been a professor but, she deserved to have a little bit of fun too. They were only a year appart. She had heard a doorbell ring and called for Emerald and Silver her two house elves to get the door. Isabella finally started to get dressed and fix her hair and make up. She loved her style choices. She was more punk thank anything else. She loved it. She loved being able to dress her personality.

She finally got ready and went downstairs and had hoped it had been Mikayla and walked to the door where Emerald had been standing. "Hey girly. I thought that had been you." She had smiled and gave Mikayla a hug. "No one is here yet. Wait till you've seen what I did with the back yard it's amazing. You could see the stars more clearer, and I put lights up and everything." She said and pulled Mikayla outside to go show her.

It had been so long since Mikayla had any fun what with the divorce and getting her lesson plans ready for the new school term, she was almost always busy. When Bella came to her with the idea throwing an end of summer party, Mikayla couldn’t wait to help. It still surprised her sometimes that Bella was her best friend. They actually used to hate each other to the point where they couldn’t stand to be in the same room. This was because, well Mikayla used to be a gossip queen bitch whos only friend’s were the school’s other gossip queen bitches. It was fun while it lasted but it was lonely not having friends, so she loosened up and stopped gossiping and slowly but surely she gained friendships; Bella’s was the most important to her though.

She promised Bella she would come to her house a half hour before everyone else to help set up and what not. She really hoped tonight would be fun, the time of her life. She really needed some fun. Getting dressed in a hot little outfit, that definitely wasn’t as hot as the things she used to wear (she was a professor after all and her students would be at this party), she left for Bella’s house at the allotted time.

Mikayla knew the way to Bella’s by heart as she had been there so many times before. Knocking on the door she waited for a few seconds and as she expected, Silver and Emerald answered the door. [green]Evening you two. [/green] She smiled and nodded to the both of them and stepped inside, waiting for Bella by the door. [green] Hey there! You look amazing![/green] She smiled as her as she returned the hug. [green] I was pretty sure no one would be here yet, the invitation said 7 and its only 6:30. But I know theres bound to be some people who will be here in a few minutes. Those “fashionably early” people. [/green] She giggled and followed Bella outside to see what she had done to the backyard. [green] Wow, its amazing Bella. [/green] She said as she looked out at her massive backyard all done up and lights. Surely there was going to be dozens of people dancing under the stars tonight.

It had been a long, and uneventful summer for him. He spent most of his time at home, doing nothing, and helping his parents as best as he could. When he did go out, it was mostly to Hogsmeade or Diagon alley to see if he could find anyone that he had known. He had barely talked to any of his classmates after his school year ended, and couldn't wait to return to Hogwarts. He had already been to Diagon alley to get all of his school supplies for his final year, but he still felt compelled to walk around there. He saw quite a few people he knew as he did, but none of them really worth talking to. He decided to head back to his house after an hour of just walking around. As soon as he got back home, his house elf handed him a letter that had come 10 minutes before he came home. He looked over the letter reading it as an Invitation. He smirked seeing the invitation was to the Gaunt House. He chuckled slightly to himself before looking to his house elf. "Yorl, don't wait up for me." The house elf merely nodded as Artemis made his way upstairs to his room. He looked through his outfits before deciding to go with his usual attire. He wore his normal dark blue jeans, with his black boots, black shirt, and his leather jacket. Quite simple, he didn't feel the need to impress anyone, except Isabella of course, but other than that he could care less about anyone else.

He made his way downstairs and called out to Yorl. "Don't burn the place down while I'm gone" The elf nodded and Artemis left the house making his way towards the Gaunt Manor. It had been a while since he actually talked to Isabella, seeing as she had been with Zeke for a time, and he didn't feel the need to talk to her. He regretted that choice of course, and wanted to start talking to her again. he still had feelings for her, but he didn't want to straight up ask her out again. He looked at the time realizing he was early. He walked up towards the house and noticed it hadn't changed one bit. He smirked remembering the first time he went there. He walked up to the door while reminiscing about the past and knocked on the door. It took a moment but the door finally opened up. He recognized the two little house elves and he smiled "Hello Emerald, and Hello Silver. Good to see you both again" The two elves nodded to Artemis and let him into the door. He looked around slowly and chuckled a bit seeing it was yet again, still the same. He walked around for a moment and then looked out the backyard spotting Isabella and what looked like Professor Menki. He went to the back door and cleared his throat before speaking "Hello Isabella, Professor Menki, How are you both doing?" He wanted to be polite in front of the Professor and not seem too rude. He looked around the backyard for a moment and then brought his attention to the two ladies in front of him

Evan was sitting on his bed, Indian style in front of an old chess set. He was in his usual night time attire, a simple pair of faded plaid pajama pants. He scratched his slightly stubbled chin. "Night to B4" he said slowly, not really sure if that was a good move or not.

He let out an exasperated sigh when his night was taken out and pushed the set to the edge of his bed, deciding to ignore it for now. He could just barely hear his mother downstairs, cleaning up after a small dinner. He let out a sigh, thinking longingly of returning to school and getting to be with his friends again.

He never got to spend any time with them over the summer, he was constantly busy helping his mom in her herb shop. Heavy things needed to be lifted, and tedious tasks needed to be done while she ran the counter. He felt he would never get the smell of mint out of his skin after that one witch decided to help him lift a crate full of liquid medicine infused with mint (to help it go down) and the thing exploded the minute she waved her wand.

He had flopped down onto his bed, arms behind his head when a sharp tap came on his window. Sighing heavily he got up and yanked open his window, the chill breeze that rushed in after his owl Finn sent goosebumps up his arms and he threw on a sweatshirt. Finn hopped around impatiently on his bed, a letter clamped in his beak.

Evan took it from him and he rushed out the window in two great flaps. "Thanks a lot." Evan grumbled, sitting down on his bed and peeling the letter open. He scanned it quickly, his brows knit together for a moment. "A party?" he mumbled to himself before shrugging. "Better than doing nothing all night." he said, stomping down the stairs to tell his mother.

Once he was back in his room he threw on some faded old blue jeans, a baggy graphic T, and a black hoodie. When he felt everything was in order he picked up the letter and allowed himself to be transported. It felt strange and he nearly fell on his face when he appeared at the front door. He placed his hands on his knees, taking a few deep breaths to orient himself again. How people got used to that he would never know.

After a moment he righted himself and knocked on the door, two house elves answered and he looked at them awkwardly, he had never seen one before. "Ur...I was invited to a party here?" He said, as he was ushered inside.

After signing in, Marcus entered the house. He was a little late so the party was in full swing. No matter. Sauntering off to the drinks table, he grabbed himself a drink and hit the dancefloor. He needed to find Mikayla and wish her happy birthday.

Sipping at his drink, he tried to find the host of the party, Isabella, after failing to try and find Mikayla. Finding her, he spoke. "Where Mikayla, Isabella? I want to wish her happy birthday." Smiling charmingly, he waited for the answer. He needed a few more drinks before he becomes himself but he could still smile.

Pandora raised one eyebrow as she read through the letter in her hand for the third time. Had she really just been invited to Isabella Gaunt’s party? She always thought Isabella, one of the prettiest girls in her year, had never noticed her before. Then again, it was probably a mass sending to everyone in their year.. No matter, she had still been invited. Pandora had vowed, for her 6th year, she would make friends and here was her chance.

With a heavy sigh she placed the letter on her unmade bed and sauntered over to her wardrobe. Most of the clothes in it were black or dark shades of colours. Scanning over them several times she decided on a deep purple t-shirt and black skinny jeans; threading a lilac belt through the loops. With a quick check in her mirror she topped off her thick black eyeliner that framed her big chestunut eyes and pulled her fingers through her long ringlets.

On her way out of the door she grabbed her wand from her side table and made her way down the stairs. The house was empty, apart from the golden rays of evening sun that had flooded what areas of the house they could. Her family had gone to a BBQ at her Uncle’s, so they were probably going to come back with food poisoning. Pretending to feel ill, Pandora had opted not to go and eat her Uncle’s horrific idea of cooking.

Once out the door she aparated to Isabella’s street. The sensation left her quite light headed and she almost stumbled down the road, searching for her house number; like she needed to look. She could hear the faint sound of music and laughing and followed it all the way to Isabella’s house. Clearing her throat and mentally preparing herself, she strolled up to the door; hands held behind her back. To her surprise there was already a rather tall boy standing before the door way; blocking the view of two house elves. Pandora timidly walked up behind him and peered round his arm to get a better look at the house elves; and a cheeky look at the boy. It was Evan Silvanus, from her year, a Gryffindor. She was pretty sure that he, too, had never spoken or noticed her before, either.

“..Is this Isabella’s party..?” She spoke in a low voice and attempted to smile, as a way of hiding how embarrassed she was.

[Avery Ward]

The invitation to the Gaunt’s house came at no surprise to Avery. It was to be expected with how renowned his family was. No doubt a large incentive for these invitations was merely to try to prod information from him. Ever since both of his parents had taken up residence in Azkaban it has led to many suspicions and even conspiracy theories. Avery would entertain none of these. On a more pleasant note, he very much doubted the Gaunt’s were even interested in his family affairs. He needed to get out, and this occasion was an ideal means to end his seemingly self imposed exile. Though he had been a student at Hogwarts for nearly six years, he had very few he could call friend.

Folding the invitation in half, Avery sipped his tea while sitting upon a lavish-looking arm chair placed before a roaring fire. He would need to be ready by seven. Three hours should suffice in his preparations. After all, he preferred to arrive in a dignified manner. But where was that damned house elf? He rose from his seat, and crossed the large carpeted living room of the Ward estate with purpose. Just as he would open the door, a timid looking house elf held up a plate of freshly baked crumpets. Avery took one without even a glance at the elf and immediately rushed up the staircase into his bedroom.

By the time he was at the top, he had polished off his crumpet and he began picking out a dark, raven-colored suit. He was still mildly hungry, but the party’s refreshments should stave off his hunger. Straightening his tie, he thought he appeared quite dashing. He stared at himself in the mirror, admiring how he looked in his dark black suit.

Hours later, Avery showed up at the front of the Gaunt house. He strode on inside, nodding to whoever greeted him inside. He immediately recognized many of those in attendance to be the sort he typically despises. Nonetheless, he forced a sociable, easygoing smile across his normally stern and cold features. “Good evening.” He stated in a low pitched and loud voice, announcing his arrival. Hopefully, the night wouldn’t go to complete waste. He picked up a glass, and filled it with a red colored liquid, raising it to his nose to sniff before drinking. Apparently satisfied, he downed at least half of the liquid in a single draught.

Evan turned around a little startled and looked at the girl who now stood behind him. "Yes, I suppose so." He said, as the house elves ushered them both inside "This is where the invitation took me." he said. Inside the house was quite large and many people had started to show up.

Most seemed to be moving towards the back of the house and Evan figured that is where he was supposed to go. "I don't think I have seen you before, what year are you?" he asked, thinking hard. Sometimes he could remember the names of students if they had a class together, but with this girl he was drawing up a blank.

Remembering his manners he held out his hand "I'm Evan Silvanus, and you are?" he asked, feeling bad that he couldn't quite place her name. Though it didn't bother him to much, not everyone could be expected to know each student by name....unless you where a teacher.

Pandora smiled brightly at his reply to her question; thank god she'd found the right place! She walked briskly beside him as the two house elves moved them along to the life of the party. It was beatifully decorated and getting slowly more packed with students she'd seen at school. Her big brown eyes couldn't disguise her keen interest for the place; she'd never really been to a party before.

She was soon broken from her thoughts as Evan spoke to her once again, this time with an interest as to who she was. She smiled more warmly at him, surprised and flattered he had wanted to know more about her.

"I'm a sixth year." She beamed, not really bothered by the fact that he'd not noticed her before. She could tell he was thinking hard if he'd seen her or not, but she did have a very good talent at blending in and staying out of people's way.

"My name is Pandora Sun. It's nice to meet you, Evan." She replied, once he'd addressed himself. Due to her social awkwardness she began reaching out her hand to shake his but paused as she wondered whether most teens would shake hands to greet. Fumbling and juttering she thought fast and raised her hand, to high five him. However, her cheeks had flooded red as anger at herself and embarrassment began to fill her.

Evan watched Pandora hold out her hand and moved to shake it but then she pulled it up for a high-five. He noticed the embarrassment spread over her face and thought quickly. He gave her a high-five but grabbed her hand when his made contact with hers and brought it down to shake, a bright smile on his face. "Now we have a secret hand shake." he said, releasing her hand.

"Relax a little." He said, shrugging his shoulders a little as he looked around. He noticed she seemed to feel a little out of place. "Since I don't know half these people here, and we now have a secret handshake, lets say we slide over to the food." He looked over to the table, his stomach giving a small rumble.

Evan always wanted to eat, his metabolism was so high that people often said it was amazing that he didn't weigh three hundred pounds by now. In a few long strides he was at the table and taking in all the things to eat, trying hard to figure out what to pick first.

Pandora watched Evan returned her high five, but was surprised to see him lock his fingers around her hand. He brought her hand down to waist high and she stared at him, a look of surprise, embarrassment and happines.

"Y-Yeah." She replied, mirroring his smile. A secret handshake? She'd never had one of those with someone, before! She could feel excitment brewing inside her, the feeling causing her to almost glow with a new happiness.

He soon told her to relax and her gaze fell to the floor. Was it really that obvious that she was nervous..? He soon asked her to acompany him to the table packed with food. She nodded and jogged to keep up with his big strides.

The table scattered with plates of neatly and beatifully decorated food. It all looked so deciliciously tempting, Pandora didn't know where to start! She just gazed at the food, eyes twinkling, as she decided what to pick first.

"I feel like i'm at Hogwarts, again, there's so much food!"

Evan picked up a finger sandwich and turned to her "Close but not quite." he said, grabbing a second. "I can't wait for the feast, its the only time of the year that I am completely full." he joked.

"So, whats your favorite subject at Hogwarts?" Evan asked, leaning against the nearest wall and popping a grape into his mouth. He didn't like long silences and he was trying to fill the conversation with talk.

"I personally like flying classes, just about the only thing I am any good at." he said, thinking about his other classes. He was passing them, yes, but that didn't mean he was doing well in any of them.

"If I had to pick a second it would have to be Transfiguration, I like turning stuff into other stuff." He shook his head, imagining the fun he was going to have once he had mastered the art.

Pandora smiled ay his comment and decided to go for the sweeter of foods that were layed out on the table. She had more of a sweet tooth and rather enjoyed the pudding at Hogwarts, the range was huge and she could have whatever she liked.

She chimed with a musical giggle at his comment, nodding with agreement. Now that she thought of it, it was the only time she got full, too!

"I really want to become an Auror, so i've taken pretty much all the subjects needed.. but I really enjoy Astronomy, I love the sky and the moon." She replied, her cheeks glowing a faint red nearer the end of her sentence. She smiled, listening to him talk about his love of flying.

"Oh god, me on broom is the worst thing ever!" Her cheeks turned a deeper shade of red. "Are you on the team Quidditch team?" She question, wondering whether his love of flight made him a member of Gryffindor's team. She'd never really been to any of the matches.. she never had anyone to go with to explain the rules to her!

Evan listened to her talk while he had his mouth full. "Nice, Auror sounds like a fun job to have. I don't have the patients or the brain power to do that job though." He said, scratching his chin absentmindedly.

"I have a bit of a temper and all." he said a little sheepishly. "How much have you actually flown? I could teach you sometime if you really have that much trouble?" Evan asked.

When she questioned about the Quidditch team his mood soured a bit but he perked up quickly, it wasn't her fault. "Naw, I am not allowed on the team....my temper got the best of me during a practice session." he said chuckling bitterly.
