Sober Confessions (Matthew)

[Candi Acel]

Emerald eyes slowly opened and filled with sunlight that was streaming in through the window of an unknown room. No...it wasn't unknown. There was no throbbing in her head, no sensitivity to light or sound. Maybe some over all soreness in her lower body that was usually a signal of a long night of rough sex but other than that her body was perfectly healthy. She was sober and judging by her normal feeling and her in tact memories she had been the previous 24 hours as well. She used her rare morning sobriety to go over her memories of the last day. She was chilling at the black lake to clear her head, met Matthew Dermandois, started making out with Matthew Dermandois, went to said male's room (which she was still in), and proceeded to have sex with Matthew Dermandois. Yep, that covered it. Nothing really to out of the norm truthfully for the blonde Slytherin.

Candi sat up weakly, wincing at her sore muscles before looking down at the sleeping male beside her. But at the sight of the beautiful brunette sleepy slitted emerald eyes went wide when a particular memory was hurled at her. The last thing she heard before sleep took her over. She had been weak, panting and clinging to the equally exhausted boy, being rained on with kisses and touches and other things much more gentle and loving than the blonde was use to since her break-up with the infamous Adonis Knox, and then....it happened.

"Oh fuck" the Slytherin cursed as a hand flew up to cover her eyes, suddenly she was feeling very sensitive to light and to existence in general as well. She tried to reassure herself that Matthew's use of the "L" word was perfectly excusable and wouldn't lead to any trouble. They were in the throws of passion he probably wasn't even thinking when he said it. It was an orgasmic confession right? Suddenly memories came back to prove the female wrong. She wished she were drunk last night now.

Biting her earlobe, Matthew whispered softly in her ear, "I love you..." He said softly biting her shoulder as the pleasure rose higher and higher, Matthew couldn't hold it in any longer.

She panted hard and fell onto the man's chest, clinging to his shoulders as she felt as if the earth were spinning for a moment as she waited for the stars to clear from her vision. "I-I think I.....love you to"

Candi's hand was now beating her on the head. Oh stupid Candi! You know you're not to say it back! But she had.....kinda....pretty much yeah she had. She just hoped both of them would realize the words were just a big old drunken with sex mistake, they could laugh about it, and move on. That would be best. Despite the pang in Candi's heart that called her out on her lie, telling her she secretly wished she really could find a guy that said he loved her mean it and heal the scars on her heart. But no, this was no stupid love story. This was life. Teenage life at that so yeah no life affirming love being thrown around here. That's for sure.

She yawned and pushed a hand through her pink and blonde hair as she managed the strength to quietly swing her legs over the bed and weakly stand, stretching her bare form. She looked around for her clothes from the previous day but pouted as there were none to be found. Matt's house elf must have tidied up while the two humans slept. She sighed and looked through Matthew's closet and grabbed a white button up shirt. Matthew was not only taller but built broader than the short Slytherin so it did a good job of covering all her inappropriate areas. The girl then tried to figure out what to wear for bottoms and was about to give up when she caught the sight of something under the bed. Yes! The house elf missed her panties! She quickly slid on the hot pink undergarments and looked around. She would normally take a shower at this time but her stomach was starving.

It all depended on what she would find first. The kitchen, or the bathroom. That would decide which need she would satisfy first. She quietly stepped out of the male's room and began down the hall of the nearly endless manor. Needless to say it didn't take long for the candy lover to realize she was lost. She pouted and sighed in frustration as she stopped in front of a large window looking over a beautiful garden. She decided to rest her search for a moment and sat on the windowsill, staring down in awe at nature's beauty. "Great....NOW I want him to find me. Well something best happen soon before I decide to just go ahead and jump out this window...." she paused and looked to see how high up the window was. "That would kill me....and my wand is in his room.....fuuuuuuuuck"

Matthew laid in his bed sleeping. Sighing as he slept gently, the dream must of being reality. Him and Candi did make love, and Matthew did confess his love for her, and she did to..? That was a little out of the blue. Sitting up Matthew looked to see the bed empty. Did Candi leave? Taking the blankets off, Matthew walked around his room naked going into his closet. One of his shirts were missing. Raising a eyebrow he grabbed a pair of boxers, slipping his wand into the waist band. Putting his house coat on, Matthew walked out of his room sighing. A side of him was hoping that she didn't leave the place. Even after they both confessed something towards each other.


Before long, Matthew found himself in the loo taking a piss. He didn't realize how much love making he did last night with Candi. His thighs were a little sore for what happened. Flushing he washed his hands looking at himself in the mirror. Flexing a little to himself in the mirror, Matthew got close to the mirror examining his face. "Shave..." He mumbled to himself pulling out his wand, shaving his face slowly. Matthew washed his cleaned face drying his hands and face with a towel. Heading out of the washroom Matthew kept repeating what Candi had said to him last night. Walking around Matthew hummed to himself going down on the main floor starting there first. She was probably hungry. Heading to the kitchen, Matthew saw Buttons preparing breakfast. Fresh biscuits, freshly sliced prosciutto, a fresh bottle of the fruit juices that Matthew and Buttons make. Smiling he let Buttons continue his work.

Walking up the stairs he walked down a few corridors seeing Candi sitting on the window stall. Walking over to her slowly, Matthew gently move Candi forward pulling her close to him holding her close. "Morning..." He said softly holding her close.

Candi's head of blonde and pink sex hair remained leaned back against the wall as her emerald eyes absorbed every inch of Matthew's garden. She wondered if Matt himself had actually spent days working on the garden or if it was just his house elves' work. There were very few rich wizards and witches Candi knew of who would actually work in dirt. Candi had always wanted to make a garden herself but her parents would never let her or Cicero's bare hands near dirt. None the less it didn't inhibit Candi's guilty pleasure which was a passionate love of nature and all things in it.

Her hypnotized eyes cleared as she felt warm hands on her and felt herself pressed against a warm broad bare chest. She looked up into the equally warm eyes of the boy she had shared a bed with last night. His gentle voice made a soft smile form on her features. Another first compared to her usual one night stands, being treated like a lover the next day.

"Morning..." she said softly and sweetly to match her smile. "Sorry, musta seemed rude to wake up with me gone but well...most boys are deep sleepers and I was really hungry. But as you can see..." the slytherin paused to motion to the area around her, laughing playfully. "I have no idea where your kitchen is. Or you bathroom for that matter. Ya think you could help me?" she asked. It took her a moment to realize her tired morning tone had a bit of a southern accent in it, causing her to blush and cover her mouth. She had gotten it from her mother but was raised that purebloods don't talk like southerners from America. She was normally good at hiding it but when tired or distracted the lazy Louisiana like drawl slipped out. " 'Scuse my accent"

Hugging her close, Matthew smiled looking across the massive aches of land that was charted with flowers, bushes, statues of famous Romans, and some of the Roman gods. Kissing Candi's neck softly Matthew sighed. "Isn't is beautiful... I'd get lost in there just for because. I always found something knew in the maze sometimes. And if I got lost Buttons would find me, but I always knew how to get to the center of the maze." Pointed to the distance to the gazebo slash shrine to the Roman god Jupiter. The golden thunder bolt stood on the very tip top of the shrine, with statues of the other gods around it. "Some how I always found myself in the center were all the gods were ... They felt so real when I wanted to be alone. To be, they came alive and help me through struggles. " He ranted off slowly shaking his head to refocus.

Putting his one arm under her legs, Matthew lifted her up walking around the house. "Uh, there was a bathroom in my room ya know? Or one two doors away from my room?" He chuckled walking to one letting her down gently kissing her forehead. "Breakfast is pretty much ready, Buttons said we'll be eating outside hope you don't mind?" Matthew asked looking at her.

Though slightly distracted by the unfamiliar gentle touches and the loving kisses on her neck,Candi was able to listen clearly to Matthew's reminiscent words. As she stared out over the garden she felt a feeling of comfort and home she hadn't felt in years. Not since she had lived at her home in Delphi, Greece. The scenery, the history, and especially the view of the temple of Apollo always brought her an inner warmth that could be matched nowhere else. She still visited the home during the summer but no visits could compare to living there 24/7. But now, she was feeling that warmth again. Right here in Matthew's arms, under the eyes of the gods, she felt a warmth that could only be compared to Apollo's. A remembering smile formed on the Slytherin's face as she let her body relax back against the male's. "Who says.....they aren't still alive? That they can't still help through struggles?" she asked, though it was unclear whether it was Matthew or herself she was asking the question to.

Candi's mind was soon refocused when she felt her feet leave the ground, and her body lifted into Matthew's arms. A red tint which hadn't shown itself since last night made a reappearance as she was carried to the bathroom, feeling embarrassed at not realizing 2 were so close to her original destination. "Well....I'll um try to remember next time." she said with a shy smile. She soon felt the floor beneath her feet again and was about to go into the bathroom when his words caught her attention. Her green eyes sparkled at the thought of eating outside, especially on such a beautiful day. "I-I would...." she paused as her memories from earlier raced back to her from the word she was about to say. "Love....that. Very much so. I'll be out in a sec." she said and moved into the bathroom.

After quickly taking care of her morning needs and rituals she returned outside the door. "You know, you really don't have to feed me breakfast or be so sweet to me. I wasn't exactly expecting it."

Matthew smiled. It was a good question. "I do believe in them still. The twins Diana and Apollo saved my life during childbirth. I was dying when my mother was giving birth so my father prayed to them hoping we'd live. He even engraved both my mother and myself." Points to the crest moon inside the sun. Matthew had the mark since birth. "Sadly thought, my mother died..." He trailed off softly. Matthew prayed to the gods hoping that he'd be able to see her someday soon. Kissing her forehead softly Matthew smiled. Matthew did feel the gods every now and then watching over him. He'd feel Mars giving him strength to duel, and Diana giving him swift movements, Minevera was always on his side. Thus him being in Ravenclaw. He felt the gods with him doing anything.

Waiting for her Matthew sighed leaning his head against the wall, closing his eyes they were quickly opened to see Candi out already. Holding her close as they walked down the grand staircase Matthew smiled. "Your my guest, I should feed you. It'd be un Southerner." He grinned a bit his Italian accent kicking a little. Matthew had learned to cover up his Italian accent years before attending Hogwarts. Not really knowing why he just did it for because. After hearing Candi's sweet Southern accent, Matthew decided to let his accent out too.

Walking out to the sunny morning, Matthew took Candi to the gazebo set up on the stone padeo watching Buttons set everything up. Pulling out Candi's chair Matthew smiled. "For you."

The blonde Slytherin let out an amused laugh as Matthew stated his kindness was just him trying to participate in "southern hospitality". But it wasn't the boy's joke on her southern drawl that stuck her as humorous, it was his own attempt to impersonate it and instead out came a very thick Italian accent. She actually preferred it to Matthew's normal tone. Not that she minded Matthew's normal speaking tone. Both were deep, charming, masculine, and soothing but just the exoticism and full silky pronunciation of his Italian accent had Candi on edge, and wanting more of it. She was happy they two were comfortable enough to let their guards down and speak normally with each other, to enjoy the company of who each of them really were.

As Matt lead her to the garden Candi thought on the story he had told her. It was sad that the poor boy's mother had died in childbirth and she wished she knew a more comforting way to reply to that topic but at least he was strong. At least Matthew still had his faith in the gods. That was one thing even Candi had been wondering lately. Of coarse, she had been doubting everything lately but being out and seeing the beauty of the world was a helpful reestablishment of that faith. It was much more comforting for her to go in a world with the idea of the fantastical Greek Gods in her mind. They had always been a comfort. Though now that she thought about it, Matt's decor resembled a bit more to the Roman architecture. There was very minor differences in the two worlds but Candi was more accustomed to the Greek god names. Perhaps Matthew was to the Roman ones?

She politely took the boy's offer of a chair with a kind smile when they had arrived in the gazebo surrounded by the beautiful garden. "Thank you Matthew." she said sweetly before gazing off into the beauty around her. "Tell me Matty, who is your patron god? I've always been accustomed to seeking help and hope from Apollo myself but Aphrodite's the one I look up to, revere, and respect the most. I usually ask for any spiritual advice from her. Though lately I'm not sure I've listened to well."

Matthew as across from hand playing footies lightly with her smiling. Pouring himself a cup of espresso, smelling the fresh scent of coffee Matthew smiled pouring some fresh cream into it sipping it slowly. Nothing made Saturday morning complete like a cup of espresso. Sighing softly he had to think about it. Which was his patron god? Ugh ... Hardest question every. Matthew turned to all 12 of the gods for guidance. "Err..." He said softly putting down his cup leaning back a bit grabbing a apple from the center of the table biting into it. "I'd have to say. The twins. Apollo and Diana...Artemis. They did protect me from dying during childbirth." Matthew stated looking around the vineyard like area. Sighing he smiled at her. Apollo was a good pick for her. But Matthew thought that Aphrodite was a better pick for her. She was really good at making love, and was really pretty too. Maybe Candi was a daughter of Aphrodite? Smiling he got up sitting beside her. "I think Aphrodite is a better pick. But Apollo is good too." He smile teasing her a little.

Pulling her close Matthew held her resting his chin on her shoulder smiling. Sighing he kissed her neck gently, holding her hand he sighed. "Did last night mean anything to you?" He asked gently curious at the thought, grabbing a piece of cheese eating it.

As Candi waited for the answer to her question she casually sampled the various breakfast food over the table. She decided to stick to mainly fruits this morning, strawberries, grapes, grapefruits, even lemons. There was no candy to be found so the Slytherin settled for what she found to be the sweets of health foods. They were just as good and filling to the blonde and pink haired girl. She even satisfied her thirst with a class of red grape juice that was also provided.

As she was beginning consumption of a banana she listened to Matthew's answer, finding it very reasonable as the image of his birthmark shown clearly in her memory from the night before. A red tint appeared on the girl's cheeks as he commented that Aphrodite was a good choice for her. He didn't say it but she could since the Italian had an underlying compliment under that statement. "Thank you. I respect her alot. Out of all the gods she seems to be the happiest, she knows how to get what she wants, and she knows how to reward and punish with love. I truly wish I had so much control over the heart. But I suppose that's why she's the goddess and I'm just a mere mortal."

Candi blinked her emerald eyes in surprise when suddenly Matthew was behind her, her cheeks heating as he pulled her close and she felt those familiar lips against her skin. She wasn't sure how to answer his question so for a moment she was quiet. Matt was sweet, a gentleman, something she hadn't had the pleasure of experiencing in awhile. And she had always respected Matthew's power since first meeting him, knowing just by his aura how strong he could be, perhaps even more than Sylvester Gaunt. But could she really love him? Could he love her? "I would really like it to mean something. But I don't want either of us to get hurt Matty"

Listening to Candi, Matthew smiled. Aphrodite was a very beautiful goddess. Not exactly a smart goddess, but she know how to play people. Which was really all you needed. But Candi seemed like she came from Aphrodite, like a daughter. A very beautiful daughter. He had to admit that Candi took take over Aphrodite's position, but he'd never admit it out loud. Most humans that did that ended up dead or going through Hell their whole life. "You could be her daughter." He smiled kissing her neck gently holding her close.

Hearing her thoughts about the love they made merely hours ago, Matthew shrugged a bit. She was right. But, Matthew thought a little different. Smiling he held her hand lightly running his fingers gently against her thighs. " Your right. I felt nothing in the beginning honestly. But something kind of changed. It wasn't the lust feeling I usually get when I'm with a lady, it changed to something more passionate. Ya know?" Matthew said hugging her tightly.

Taking the last swig of his espresso, Matthew got up taking Candi's hand. "Come on," He smiled walking off the gazebo feeling the bright sunny sun on him taking Candi to the one entrance to the Maze. Walking in, he smiled leading the path. The wind blew softly against the giant bushes, hearing the soft laughter of the bushes from the wind. Petals leaving the flowers that were growing in the bushes. Summer time around Italy as always nice, but it slowly ended and turned into Autumn.

Candi blinked wide emerald eyes at Matthew's comment that she could be the Goddess of beauty's daughter. Such a compliment was far to much and it made her cheeks red to think that Matthew thought he could actually compare her to a goddess. "Heh....you flatter me Matty. If only that was true, things would be a lot easier." she said with a sweet smile. She wished she could return with an equally breath taking compliment for Matthew but she wouldn't know which god to compare the boy to. He was so perfect, she was sure he could match up with any of the gods.

The Slytherin girl listened nervously for what Matthew's reaction to her answer on last night would be. She only hoped he wouldn't think she felt nothing for him, that was definatly not the case. His actual answer made her curious, while his touches just seemed to be a successful attempt to charm her, perhaps back into his bed. "It was different for me to. So much more passion and...dare I say, love. It was intense. Never have I wanted so bad to never stop making love to one man." she said, her cheeks heating from the embarrassing confession. Her weak heart which so easily yearned for love wanted so badly to give itself to Matthew. But Candi stopped herself. She had to be wise. If she kept falling so quickly into love she would just as quickly have another broken heart. "But love is much more than just amazing sexual chemistry."

She had just finished her delicious grape juice when she felt Matthew tug her hand and lead her away. She blinked curious eyes up at the taller form as she wondered where he was leading her. She soon realized it was a maze and smiled playfully as she eagerly followed him. "Aren't you worried we won't be able to find our way out?" she questioned playfully with a laugh. It was true this concern did make her a bit nervous but being with Adonis and only with him calmed her greatly. She gripped his hand in a loving hold as she inhaled deeply the warm Italian air around her. It smelled like Matthew.

Matthew held her hand walking through the maze. It was a massive maze. But he knew the ins and outs of it like the back of his hand. Laughing he looked back at Candi, "I've pretty much lived in this maze. It's almost a second home if it had a roof over top of it." He chuckled walking more between the turns and constantly shift of the maze. When Matthew was a little younger, he realized what power he had so he enchanted the maze to shift constantly. Walking around Matthew saw the shrine to Zeus, before quickly being blocked off by a new wall from the bushes. Shrugging he continued to walk.

Chuckling a bit to Candi's comment Matthew smiled. "You are right it was totally different. And I'm glad it was different. Maybe something is changing." Matthew said shrugging a bit. Nothing was wrong with having just a physical relationship either, Matthew quiet enjoyed physical relationships. But, he wanted more now. Matthew could bend any girl over and hear, I love you, or say it and it mean nothing. This time is finally met a little more then the usual. It had a actually meaning this time, and Matthew wanted to explore those feelings. He wanted to explore them with Candi.

Walking some more, the two finally made it to the middle of the Maze were the shrine of Zeus stood tall, with the rest of the twelve gods surrounding the temple. Walking into the white marble Shrine, Zeus stood at the far edge, with a reflecting pool in front of him. The pool was to respect him, but Matthew sometimes swam in it just for because. "Beautiful isn't is?" Matthew asked looking around, sitting down on the edge of the pool putting his legs in.

Candi's nerves about the maze chilled as Matthew seemed to go through it quiet easily. She should have thought so, the boy had lived here all his life and was very smart. But her nerves shot back up when she realized the walls of the maze constantly shifted. "Yeah but....it's kinda hard to memorize a maze when it's always changing." she muttered softly, trying to let her mind focus on the beauty of the maze.

The blonde smiled as she heard Matthew agree that last night was different than most of their one night stands. There was a spark and it surprised Candi. She had never thought of having intimate feelings for Matthew since the first time she met him in the Dark Forces. She merely saw him as a strong authoritative figure which had the strength to be worthy of her respect and loyalty. But now....was there a possibility he could be more than just a strong boy? "Maybe....we should explore these feelings." the Slytherin said softly, feeling a bit shy about these rare sensitive feelings.

Candi's eyes widened in awe as they arrived at their destination, the religious beauty of the marble shrine taking her breath away for a moment. As Matthew walked to the pool in front of the Zeus statue Candi was automatically drawn to the statue of Aphrodite. She gazed in wonder at the beautifully sculpted feature of the garden, making a silent prayer when her attention was brought back by Matthew's words. "Yeah...it's marvelous." she responded as she walked over and took a seat by Matthew. She smiled playfully as she gazed into the pool. "Is it ok to swim in it? I love morning swims." she asked, already unbuttoning Matthew's shirt that she wore and slipping it off, leaving her only in her hot pink bra and panties.

Matthew smiled. She was right, it was hard trying to memorize the path of the Maze. But, Matthew lived in the Maze pretty much, so it became easier over the years. Plus, Matthew would of figured it out eventually. He was smart, thus being in Ravenclaw. "Well, I am in Ravenclaw." Laughs nudging her sides lightly. He wasn't comparing their intelligence, Matthew knew Candi was smart. Just a little humor that's all. "Remember though, I nearly lived my whole life in this Maze. I figured every little nook and cranny quickly because I ran away in here so many times. It made running away from my dad easier too. I know my way, he did not." Chuckling to himself, he held her close. Matthew loved the Maze, it represented so many things. It was a beautiful thing, and yet in seconds one could be lost for days, months possible years. It was kind of like love. Beautiful at first, but once someone goes in and lowers their guard they could be lost for years and never come out.

Holding Candi close as they walked Matthew smiled blushing a little bit. "You're right ... Maybe we should explore these feelings, and I'd be happy to explore them with you." Matthew smiled kissing Candi softly on the lips holding her close.

When they got to the temple, Matthew smiled seeing Candi pay her respects to Aphrodite. Matthew thought of paying his respects to the twins. Getting out of the pool, Matthew walked over to the golden statues of Apollo and Artemis both holding their bow and arrow's ready to shoot. Both statues were pointed in the direction of rising. Apollo was pointed to the East, and Artemis was pointed to the West. "Thank-you..." Matthew muttered softly pulling out his wand to configure a Lyre for Apollo, and a Diameda for Artemis. Laying their sacred items at the alter Matthew smiled walking back into the temple. His cheeks turned deep scarlet when he saw Candi take off his shirt, walking slowly into the pool. "Ya, it's fine." He smiled walking into the pool in his boxers swimming around.

Candi smiled, laughing a bit in amusement of Matthew's words as he lead her through the maze. "I trust you Matty." she said sincerely. She really did trust Matthew. She knew how smart he was, respected him for it even, and he had indeed lived at this place his whole life. Him mentioning his father made Candi a bit curious for a moment on Matthew's family. She really knew nothing about his family which was a surprising thing for the Slytherin girl. She just knew he was a pureblood and before that was all that really mattered to her. But she wouldn't ask him about it right now. If Matthew wanted to talk family with her she knew he would bring it up on his own.

The girl's green eyes blinked with surprise when her movement was suddenly stopped and she was suddenly pulled into a strong embrace, her cheeks tinting red as she felt Matthew's lips against her own. She knew what he said but for a moment she didn't think on it and relaxed and returned the intimate kiss. She felt her heart beat quicken as she yearned to let herself be vulnerable and fall for the boy holding her at this moment. But finally the kiss was ended and Candi had to use her head again. Maybe someday soon she could let Matthew hold her fragile heart but right now she had to be smart and go slow, else her heart be broken again. "I would love to....explore my feelings for you Matthew. And I shall. But I don't wanna rush into anything okay? Let's do this the proper way. Court me....and win my heart over. Are you okay with that?" the blonde and pink haired girl asked, her green eyes locked with Matthew's gaze. She really hoped she wasn't being to complicated with the boy. Or that he might misunderstand and think her comment of "taking it slow" was a way to reject him. Candi would not reject Matthew. Not unless he gave her reason to anyway.

An adoring smile shone on Candi's face as she turned from the shining pool in front of her and watched Matthew as he very gratefully paid his respect to the godly twins of Olympus. His deep respect for the Olympians and interest in Greek Mythology definatly won points with her. She finally turned back to the water when Matthew told her it was fine to swim in the pool. She slowly stepped into the water, enjoying the cool feeling of the liquid covering her body. When the water was up to the middle of her chest she held her breath and dunked herself under quickly, soon coming up with a head of wet blonde and pink hair which she slicked back. She sighed happily and soon swam over to Matthew, wrapping her arms around him in an intimate hug as she smiled sweetly up at him. "Feels good right?" she said with a giggle. "I'll have to make sure to spend the night more often if I get to have morning swims with you."
